Job description

Our client is a dynamic, passionate charity, committed to improving the lives of children across the UK. They currently run over 100 local services that help thousands of young people who desperately need support, as well as campaigning to change laws and policies to make children’s lives both happier and safer. They are now looking to recruit a Service Manager to oversee their Safe Zones Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service in Greater Manchester.

Safe Zones provides short-term step-down crisis support to young people experiencing mental health crises, offering a safe and supportive environment. As Service Manager you will lead and coordinate the delivery of mental health early help services across Greater Manchester, ensuring all aspects of service delivery for children and young people are delivered safely, effectively and to a consistently high standard in line with contractual requirements.

To apply for this role, you will have significant experience of working with young people who may be struggling with their mental and emotional health and will have sound knowledge of the barriers faced by hard-to-reach young people when accessing early help. You will have demonstrable experience of supporting frontline staff and will have knowledge of local mental health support agencies in the area. You will also have a strong understanding around current legislation, policy, procedures, and issues relating to the safeguarding of children and young people

In order to apply please initially submit your CV in the first instance. Should your experience be suitable, we will then arrange a suitable time to brief you on the role.

At Prospectus we invest in your journey as a candidate and are committed to supporting you with your application. We welcome all candidates to apply, regardless of age, sex/gender, disability, race, religion, sexual orientation, marital status or pregnancy/maternity. If you have any disability and require reasonable adjustment/s to any part of the process then please contact Victoria Savva at Prospectus.

Please note this is initially a fixed term contract until June 2027, covering maternity leave.
