The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Project Director to lead a major new initiative supporting the implementation of the revised Ambient Air Quality Directive (AAQD) across nine EU Member States. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver a multi-country programme focused on reducing air pollution and climate emissions in Europe.
As Project Director, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the Europe Clean Air Quality project, ensuring it is well set up with strong governance, strategy, and stakeholder engagement. You will lead a dedicated project team, manage relationships with funders and partners, and supervise grant-making and technical assistance efforts across targeted Member States.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and implementing strategy across nine EU Member States and pan-EU initiatives.
- Leading technical assistance, policy advocacy, and strategic communications projects.
- Building partnerships with stakeholders in the most polluted regions to support AAQD transposition and implementation.
- Managing a team of project managers, analysts, consultants, and grantee partners.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

We have an established centralised Student Opportunities team that manages the oversight of additional enrichment opportunities and programmes across the charity including arts-based programmes, career placements, and the development of IntoUniversity’s Associate Network (alumni community). This team works closely with our local learning centres to promote, recruit, and deliver these diverse opportunities for students.
We are looking for an interim Oxbridge Programme Manager to join our Student Opportunities team on a fixed-term basis. You will lead on the delivery and development of our comprehensive programme of support for young people across our network who are interested in applying to Oxford, Cambridge or other highly-selective universities. You will provide expert advice and support to student cohorts in group workshops and on a one-to-one basis to help them make informed decisions about their future choices and submit competitive applications.

Job Purpose
The Oxbridge Programme Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of the Explore Oxbridge programme. They will work closely with the Head of Student Opportunities to plan and develop the programme.
The role will involve the management and coordination of a comprehensive package of support for students from Year 9 / S2 upwards. This includes workshops, webinars, day trips and residentials designed to increase student knowledge about studying at selective universities, in particular The University of Oxford and The University of Cambridge.
The role will involve stewardship of various stakeholders, including Oxbridge colleges and IU school partners. The Programme Manager will work closely with the wider Student Opportunities team and IntoUniversity centre teams to ensure students are benefitting from the programme.
Explore Oxbridge
The Explore Oxbridge programme is open to students who are either currently being supported by IntoUniversity centres (typically students aged 14-18 years) or IntoUniversity Student Associates (IU alumni). The programme offered to students will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Personal statement support
- Mock interview practice
- Student life workshops and webinars
- Subject choice advice
- Research project support
- Subject taster sessions
- Open days and residentials
Eligibility for the role
In order to be eligible for the role, applicants will:
- Have completed an undergraduate degree to a 2.2 or higher.
- Have achieved a grade C or higher in GCSE Maths and English/ achieved National 5s or Standard Grade at Credit level (grades 1-2) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Have EITHER a minimum of 18 months full-time paid experience working in a delivery role at IntoUniversity; OR a minimum of 2 years full-time paid or voluntary experience working with children and young people, either at IntoUniversity, or external organisations, or a combination of both. Please note that we will not take part-time, seasonal or ad-hoc work into account when calculating the length of full-time experience.
- Have the right to work in the UK (please note that as a charity we do not have the capacity to sponsor work visas).
- Be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of the Oxbridge application and admissions process and how to translate this into engaging, differentiated and age-appropriate materials, programmes and content.

The Senior Partnerships Manager (SPM) is responsible for overseeing the grant management of assigned grants, primarily a large grant from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as well as contributing to proposal development, representing AKF(UK) at various events and meetings of technical groups, and supporting AKF(UK)’s partnerships with ADB and others. The SPM will also support AKF’s global partnerships function.
Grants Management
• Provide overall guidance, oversight, compliance and quality control and coordination for all components of the assigned grant portfolio (at the start, this will include one large ADB grant). The SPM will work closely with the in-country project management unit (PMU) to ensure the project(s) are delivered on-time and on-budget and proactively support the resolution of challenges as they arise.
• Support the preparation, review and feedback process on donor reports to ensure reports comply with donor requirements and are produced on time and to a high standard.
• Be an interface with the donor and communicate on a regular basis about implementation to maintain a solid relationship and to address queries or challenges effectively.
• Support the PMU in the contracting, management and oversight of consortium partners, and external service providers e.g., in monitoring, evaluation and audit.
• Provide regular updates to senior management regarding progress, risks and mitigation measures.
• Provide training and guidance to the PMU and implementing partners on ADB compliance and ensure all donor requirements are complied with, including procurement, environmental and social safeguarding.
• Take part in monitoring missions (as the security situation allows) and support monitoring and evaluation efforts.
• Work closely with finance teams in the UK and Afghanistan to ensure transparent, compliant and timely financial reporting and budget revisions as required.
• Provide technical assistance and advice in specified areas and provide training and tools to support project teams in overall grant management and quality control.
Resource Mobilisation
• Liaise with Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) and other Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) implementation units to identify new funding opportunities.
• Develop new funding partnerships and opportunities with ADB and other partners as relevant by leading concept/proposal design and development in coordination with country units.
Networking and building public awareness
• Establish collegial, mutually beneficial relationships and share knowledge and expertise within the AKF and AKDN as appropriate.
• Participate as a member of and provide support to the UK and Global Partnerships teams, including managing and contributing to processes related to resource mobilisation and grant management and mentoring partnerships staff.
• Collaborate with communications teams to develop stories, briefs, and other materials related to the grant portfolio.
• Develop positive working relationships with external stakeholders, particularly donor representatives and other NGOs.
Leadership and People Management
• Provide guidance and horizontal management to the PMU.

Qualifications

Experience
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience with a minimum 4 years in a programme management role (preferably in NGOs). Field-level implementation or management experience is highly preferred.
• Proven grant management experience of complex projects, including a strong understanding and experience with meeting donor criteria in project design, reporting and monitoring/evaluation, environmental and social safeguarding, and other compliance matters.
• Experience with development bank funded programming, including with the Asian Development Bank, is highly desirable.
• Proven experience of managing multi-stakeholder partnerships, complex relationships and consortia projects.
• Experience in resource mobilisation, developing relationships with multilateral donors and developing and writing complex proposals is desirable.
• Experience of working within federated organisational structures and within matrix-style team structures.
Knowledge

We’re looking to grow our delivery team with a brand new role that is responsible for processing the referrals we receive for the Settle Programme as well as holding assessment meetings as and when necessary. The successful candidate will also be a Senior Settle Coach holding a reduced caseload and using their frontline skills to work one-to-one with care-experienced young people across London.
For this role, we anticipate that you will spend 50-60% of your time processing and responding to referrals, including taking further steps to assess the needs of the young person who has been referred. To do this you’ll work closely with our Programme Management team, Business Development team and referral partners to ensure that we have all the necessary information to deal safely and appropriately with referrals. As this is a new role to the organisation, there will be scope to shape and influence the way this work is managed alongside your manager and our Chief Operating Officer.
We then anticipate you will spend the remaining 40-50% of your time as a Senior Settle Coach, working on the frontline, delivering one-to-one sessions with care-experienced young people across London. You’ll work closely with our partners to ensure the smooth delivery of our contracts and with the Programme Management team and Senior Partnerships Manager to support reporting on outcomes and regular partnership meetings.

Since 2012 we have supported more than 1,500 young people to access the life-transforming opportunities provided by fully funded bursary places, working with more than 200 participating boarding and independent schools united under the shared commitment to build more diverse, inclusive and representative school environments. We have ambitious plans to ensure that 2,000 young people are supported by our work by 2025, through extending our Department for Education sponsored work in independent day schools.

Purpose of the role
You will support the Head of SpringForward in managing a growing independent school- local authority partnership mentoring programme. This programme promotes partnerships between independent schools and Local Authorities that ensure that children in care can access opportunities for tailored mentoring by independent schoolteachers to help address some of their achievement and attainment gaps, and be supported to secure offers for a university or apprenticeship route on leaving school.
Key responsibilities
You will work with the Head of SpringForward to support successful management of day-to-day operations of the programme; including but not limited to:

You will be held accountable for upholding the highest levels of safeguarding practice in implementation of the mentoring programme, including updating and maintaining safeguarding records for volunteers.
You will be responsible for writing reports on progress and outcomes for the charity’s senior leadership, trustees and the wider partnership community.
If seeking additional responsibilities/hours, this role could also include elements of wider communications support - including updating the charity’s website and social media content, collecting impact stories and sharing weekly content on school visits, donor engagement and key newsworthy items relevant to the work of RNCSF.

About the Role
As our Director of Finance and Resources, you’ll be a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, leading on:

St Richard’s church was built in 1964 in the heart of a new housing estate alongside a new Primary School. It is an iconic building with a strong presence forming part of the Ham Riverside identity. It has many significant architectural and artistic features acknowledged by its Grade II listing and its timber hyperbolic paraboloid roof is one of the few remaining examples in the country. However the roof covering is failing, and the unique timber shell construction is rapidly deteriorating. The seriousness of this is evidenced by its inclusion on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register. Our goal is to give our church a secure and sustainable future as a home for a thriving church and a welcoming space for community groups and activities. Our Heritage Fund project will repair and restore the building and provide engagement opportunities bringing its heritage to life for visitors while meeting community needs.
As Project Manager you will oversee and manage the development phase of the ‘St Richard’s 60:60’ project and prepare for the next, delivery phase following our successful bid for Development Stage funding from the Heritage Fund, reporting to the Project Steering Group. You will be expected to provide effective leadership to both the internal and external project team, motivate, and develop skills and understanding. The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. We work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together we have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. We also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.
In July of this year the Home Office announced a £53m investment over the next four years to enable the Drive Project to roll out across England and Wales. To end domestic abuse, we must address the source of the problem - the perpetrator. This funding will make a huge difference to our efforts to support survivors, by holding perpetrators to account, stopping them from causing further harm and giving them the chance to change.
The Drive Project Manager will play a pivotal role within the Project Management Office (PMO), supporting the successful delivery of key work strands across the partnership. You will work closely with Respect, Safelives, Social Finance and external stakeholders to oversee commissioning contracts, support programme implementation, manage stakeholder relationships, and provide regular progress reports to commissioners.

Development Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding The Churchill Fellowship’s income from Trusts, Foundations, and other institutional funders. Working closely with the Development Director, the post holder will identify, cultivate and secure new funding partnerships that support our core Fellowship programme, unrestricted income, and the Activate Programme in line with our organisational priorities.
The postholder will manage the full funder journey, from initial engagement to long-term stewardship, ensuring all relationships are grown and managed professionally and effectively. They will work closely with relevant departments to coordinate proposals, reports, and communications, helping maintain strong connections with funders.
Key responsibilities
Prospecting and Pipeline Development
- Research and identify new potential supporters, primarily from the Trusts & Foundations sector, with some engagement of aligned individuals or family-foundation prospects in conjunction with the wider Development Team.
- Support the Development Director in delivering targeted cultivation and engagement strategies to grow new income streams.

Qualification:

A key priority for this role will be supporting CEC’s and the government’s ambition for a new work experience guarantee to ensure that all pupils participate in 2 weeks’ worth of work experience by the time they leave year 11. This role will play a key part in supporting the implementation of the programmatic strategy for Work Experience as well as other strands of work. It will support in helping to translate national initiatives and policy aligned with our strategic priorities into operational programmes delivered through our Network of Career Hubs. Priorities and programmes may change and flex over time but work experience will remain a priority theme.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a natural collaborator, a strong communicator and have strong organizational skills, and some function knowledge of our priorities.
The role will also contribute towards the wider success of the Network and Employers team supporting colleagues and areas outside of the designated area as required.
Within this role we would also offer a development opportunity for post holders not currently qualified in project management. The role
As a senior member of the Evidence Directorate, the Head of Programmes operationalises the organisation’s strategic priorities through effective programme design, commissioning, grant management, and delivery oversight.
