The Role
National Voices has been commissioned by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to deliver their work with the CQC Public Engagement Network. The Public Engagement Network is a group of 200+ charities with reach into communities experiencing health inequalities across England. By engaging with these organisations, the CQC’s aim is to ensure that local health and care services meet the needs and preferences of the communities they serve.

The Voices for Health Equity Project Officer role is to:

Support the delivery of the Public Engagement Network contract, working closely with the Project Manager to ensure high-quality, well-organised and inclusive engagement activity

Play a key role in coordinating networks, events and engagement with people within VCSE organisations and people with lived experience.

Support the capture, organisation and synthesis of insight from people with lived experience to inform learning, improvement and influence
-
Provide strong project coordination, administrative and delivery support to ensure the programme runs smoothly and meets its commitments
The role is delivery-focused and externally facing, with regular contact with people with lived experience, VCSE organisations and delivery partners. It offers the opportunity to develop skills in engagement, insight, project delivery and partnership working.
Responsibilities
Project coordination and delivery support

Support the day-to-day delivery of the Public Engagement Network programme, working to agreed project plans and timelines

Maintain accurate records of activity, contacts, meetings, outputs and finances as required

Support reporting requirements by collating data, evidence and narrative updates

Support coordination of subcontracted activity, including scheduling meetings, tracking outputs and supporting invoice processing.

Support the coordination and administration of the network of VCSE organisations.

Our approach to hybrid working
We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.
We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to- face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.
We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time. We are happy to discuss how this sits in your life. This can be agreed by your line manager.
In addition, because this role involves engaging with and recruiting to a large network of VCSE organisations, the post holder will be required to regularly attend in-person events across England. These are likely to take place around once a month and may sometimes require overnight stays.

Black Thrive is looking for a Project Officer to support community-led change as we improve Black LGBTQ+ mental health and wellbeing across the Black Thrive localities through our programme Black Queer & Thriving.
Black Thrive Global evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016 to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people in Lambeth. Black people’s cumulative exposure to negative experiences and poor outcomes are not unique to Lambeth and Black Thrive Global was founded in 2020 to address the detrimental outcomes for Black people of African and Caribbean descent wherever they may be located.
We're looking for someone who is confident in supporting the design and delivery of community-led research projects, supporting community engagement activities and providing administrative support to the programme. An understanding of health inequities, systemic racism and the experiences of Black LGBTQ+ communities is essential.
This role will focus on co-production, community engagement and participatory research. It is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful community research while gaining experience in influencing health systems and supporting strategic partnerships. ABOUT THE ROLE
Team: Active Journeys
As the Project Officer, you will work directly with schools and local communities across Surrey, identifying ways to transform streets and public spaces into safer, more welcoming environments for active travel.
What you’ll be doing:
- Plan and deliver behaviour change projects and activities that promote walking, wheeling, and cycling within schools and local communities.
- Build strong, effective relationships with local leaders, authorities, and other key stakeholders.
- Work with schools to develop or improve their School Travel Plans to promote active and sustainable travel.
- Supervise and mentor colleagues and volunteers involved in project delivery.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys planning and delivering fun activity sessions with children and young people, and helping build projects that help get people active, improving health and wellbeing and the environment!

Background
The Democratic Progress Institute (DPI) is an independent non-governmental organisation established in consultation with international experts in conflict resolution and democratic advancement. DPI seeks to promote peace and democracy building through strengthened public dialogue and engagement.
The Project Officer will implement programme and project activities while also providing strategy and administrative support to the CEO, helping to coordinate organisational priorities and key initiatives.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project implementation
- Working with the Senior Programme Officer and other programme staff, play a central role in the implementation of programme and project activities, in line with donor requirements and organisational strategy, including but not limited to:
- Logistical planning for events by researching suppliers, gathering quotes, and presenting options to support informed decision-making
o Preparation of events materials.

- Managing event preparation when hosted in Turkey and abroad (including reserving tickets, arranging accommodation and transportation etc.)
- Assisting with post-event financial reporting, including gathering receipts, logging expenditure, and supporting accurate allocation of costs in line with internal procedures.
- Managing programme documentation, including maintaining records and supporting the collection and filing of consent forms.
o Drafting, editing and ensuring timely development, delivery and tracking of all necessary correspondence for DPI events (e.g. prepare agenda, contact speakers etc)
o Ensuring timely write up of the event proceedings (event publication) which requires taking detailed minutes during events, editing and finalisation to a high standard of the event discussions under Chatham House rules.#
o Support colleagues with the development of DPI research products and donor reports.
Strategic and administrative support to the CEO
· Work closely with the CEO on organisational strategy development and implementation of strategic priorities.
· Ensure the implementation of strong internal systems and processes.
· Provide research, drafting and administrative support to the CEO on an ad hoc basis.
· Support the CEO with other activities when required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
Essential:
- 2-3+ years working for an NGO, including supporting project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, English etc) or comparable practical experience.
- Strong strategic thinking skills, and experience developing and/or implementing project strategies.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Project Officer, working predominantly in the South London area, to lead the development and delivery of river and catchment restoration projects. You will oversee work from early concept and design stages through to physical implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. As part of our Restoring Rivers and Catchments Team, you’ll help shape ambitious, meaningful projects that benefit local rivers, wildlife and communities. Whilst you will be predominantly working on projects for the Hogsmill, Wandle, Beverley Brook and Cray rivers, you may be required to work on other projects within the wider SERT region.
