About the Role

The role of Database Officer sits in the Data, Evidence and Monitoring team, at the junction of frontline services, fundraising and the leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of In-Form, our case management system for frontline services. In-Form represents a key data asset for the organisation so we are looking for someone who is responsible, conscientious and able to provide excellent customer service to other stakeholders who rely on In-Form. A strong interest in information management and databases is also essential for this role.

We would like to manage aspects of the development of In-Form in-house with limited recourse to the technical support team at In-Form. We recognise that this involves technical skills and will provide relevant on-the-job training to the successful candidate. We believe this job would be an ideal opportunity for someone who already has experience of using a case management system as a frontline worker in health/social care and now wants to move into data management, data protection and/or project monitoring and evaluation (M&E).

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. We are looking for an experienced Finance Director to join our team of nearly 100 staff, ideally before the end of 2025.

This is a full-time, home-based, permanent position. You can be based anywhere in mainland UK or Ireland, with some travel and occasional overnight stays to meeting and conferences mainly in England and Wales.

We offer flexibility around working hours, including the option of a 9 day fortnight - time off in lieu is also available. The Finance Director (“FD”) works alongside the Chief Executive and Operations Director to manage the finances and governance of The Rivers Trust, a leading conservation charity with three associated trading subsidiaries operating across the UK and Ireland, with a collective annual income approaching £10m.

Given the prospective retirement of the current postholder at the end of 2025, we are seeking a well-qualified and experienced individual to take on this senior leadership role as soon as possible to enable handover to occur.

The role is very varied and wide-ranging, including presenting financial information to the Trustees and senior management on a quarterly basis, reviewing monthly management accounts, leading on annual budgeting, appraising internal project concepts and contracts, statutory compliance administration and liaising with auditors.

The postholder will lead a team of eight in the Finance department and join a very welcoming team of 95 highly engaged and passionate staff at The Rivers Trust.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Working alongside the CEO, the Finance Director will provide commercial, financial and governance management and leadership for The Rivers Trust ("the Charity") and its associated subsidiaries (“The Companies”). The FD will not only be an exceptional accountant, with executive oversight of the finance function, but will be commercially astute and have the confidence to represent robustly the best interests of The Companies. The FD will also be an experienced manager of people.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Act as a business partner to support and constructively challenge the CEO in the general management of the Charity and the Companies, reporting to the board.
2. Lead all aspects of the finance function (including maintaining and developing the financial control environment; robust financial accounting; cashflow management; incisive management information; clear and concise reporting to Board) to ensure that the Charity and the Companies’ assets are secured, risks are managed, and the Board of Trustees, subsidiary boards and committees can make well-informed decisions.
3. Manage relationships with auditors, funders, IT specialists, banks, investment platforms and other external organisations.
4. Provide support to project bids and the development of other commercial opportunities to ensure that bids/opportunities are optimised for the Charity and the Companies as a whole.
5. Provide input to project and programme delivery from time to time, to ensure that performance is maximised for the Charity and the Companies.
6. Attend Board meetings and Business Audit and Risk Committee meetings to guide the Board and the Senior Management Team on financial, commercial and governance issues.
7. Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Charity Commission and Companies House and, from time to time, provide guidance to members of the Rivers Trust movement on good governance practice.
8. Maintain the finance department operational manual for business continuity.
9. Serve as the Company Secretary for the Charity and Companies.

Are you committed to working in collaboration with service users, maximising independence, self-confidence and integration in the community? Based across two properties, you and your team will be supporting ten adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, as well as additional mental and physical health needs.

You will play a pivotal ambassadorial role, continuing Centre’s 404 service expansion into the London Brough of Brent and bringing our expertise, vision and values to families in need.

This varied and dynamic role will lead on the set up, coordination and provision of excellent person-centred care and support to service users, enabling them to live independently in their home and be supported in all aspects of day-to-day living. As Project Manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to meet individual needs. You will also contribute to the development of the team and be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another vulnerable client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would be an advantage. The Events Officer will be responsbile for delivering a wide range of events to our members such as training courses and the annual conference, and must be a highly organised and enthusiastic individual working in collaboration and partnership with one other part time Events Officer. SAVE Britain’s Heritage is looking for a proactive and collaborative Heritage Engagement Manager to strengthen our support for communities campaigning to save historic buildings. 

You’ll take the lead in developing and managing SAVE’s public-facing resources — including the Buildings at Risk Register, ACT NOW! Toolkit and Building of the Month — ensuring they are accessible, impactful and widely used. A key part of the role is working directly with community campaigners, volunteers and students, providing advice and support to help them run effective campaigns, and sharing success stories across SAVE’s networks. 

Working closely with our small team — and alongside our Casework Officer — you’ll help ensure SAVE’s campaigning tools are closely aligned with our strategic aims, from audience development and sector leadership to new partnership opportunities. Key duties and responsibilities

Administration and office support

· Act as the first point of contact (phone, email, in-person) for enquiries, providing professional and courteous service.

· Manage correspondence, including drafting, proofreading, and responding to routine communications.

· Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and databases.

· Support scheduling, diary management, and meeting coordination for the Head of Foundation.

· Prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and circulate papers for meetings.

· Support the efficient day-to-day running of the office, including supplies and equipment, contact records, travel arrangements, and liaison with service providers.

Communications and publicity

· Support the preparation and publication of content for the Foundation’s website and social media channels.

· Draft and proofread communications, newsletters, and publicity materials.

· Maintain a consistent, professional tone across digital platforms.

· Assist with monitoring engagement and reporting on communications activity (as required).

Events and coordination

· Provide logistical and administrative support for events, workshops, and meetings.

· Assist with planning and delivery of Foundation events under the guidance of the Head of Foundation.

· Liaise with suppliers, venues, and participants to ensure smooth event operations.

Compliance and charity support

· Support the Head of Foundation in maintaining charity compliance records and documentation.

· Assist with drafting and maintaining policies and procedures as required.

· Undertake basic research and reporting to support Foundation governance.

Person specification

Essential:

· Strong administrative experience in a professional office or charity/education setting.

· Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

· Confident communicator, both written and verbal.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new systems quickly.

· Experience with social media platforms and website content management.

· Proven ability to draft clear, accurate minutes and reports.

· Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

· Professional, discreet, and reliable.

Desirable:

· Experience supporting events and project delivery.

· Knowledge of charity governance and compliance.

· Interest in education, interfaith work, or charitable initiatives.

Review and development

The post holder will be subject to an annual performance review with the Head of Foundation, and ongoing professional development will be encouraged.

Location:  Hybrid working between the Aldgate, London office and home

A great opportunity has risen for a Sporting + Events Officer to join our ambitious team to help deliver our biggest Fundraising event, the London Marathon and project manage at least one of our other core events to drive income and maximise ROI for the charity.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

You will support the Sporting + Event Manager to deliver the London Marathon, taking ownership of key projects and events within the London Marathon journey and overseeing supporter journeys, recruitment, communications, and event logistics. You will also have the opportunity to manage at least one of our core third party events.

You will have excellent project management skills and some experience of charity fundraising. You will be organised, a strong verbal and written communicator with the ability to empathise and adapt tones. You will have great attention to detail and be adept at managing different tasks simultaneously. You will interact with colleagues at all levels across the organisation and have a great opportunity to develop your event management skillset.
