We have opportunities available, to work in our accommodation services across a variety of London boroughs. Shifts are available across all London boroughs, or if you prefer a particular London borough, we can offer shifts that are more localised.
As a Locum Bank worker, you will provide effective day to day shift cover that supports the aims of our Projects and encourages the full participation of our clients. The shifts could be in our Accommodation services, Floating Support services, Refugee resettlement services or in our ex-offenders pathway. You will also take part in all aspects of the daily running of the Projects, including working with our clients in line with their agreed support plans.
You will also be comfortable working within a strengths and recovery framework (training provided) and ensuring that all aspects of your work, are delivered to the highest standards, and are fully compliant with organisational values and contractual requirements.

About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Community and Women’s Centre Manager to join our Community Team, which provides specialist, trauma-informed support to minoritized migrant women in the London area affected by immigration restrictions, the criminal justice system, and trafficking or modern slavery.
The Community and Women’s Centre Manager will lead a team of project workers, overseeing all aspects of our community casework and managing the National Lottery funded Women’s Centre at Resource for London in Islington where we provide activities and support sessions.
The post holder will work with the team to plan a programme of practical support, wellbeing and empowerment activities, and maintaining a safe, trauma-informed women-only environment and lead on monitoring and evaluation and reporting to funders.
This post is restricted to women only as a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 paragraph 1, Equality Act 2010.

About you

The Settlement Worker is responsible for supporting service-users accessing the service to secure appropriate accommodation following discharge. The post holder will be responsible for sourcing accommodations with relevant providers, liaising with and developing relationships with other providers, private landlords and teams within the local authority.

We are looking for people to deliver our ‘Being Dad’ programme of peer support for expectant and new dads, or those with parental responsibilities in the perinatal period (pregnancy to 2 years).
As a Sessional Project Worker, you will help co-facilitate our ‘Being Dad’ groups and drop-in sessions with our peer support volunteers. Within these groups, you will provide a safe space for men to share their experiences and the challenges that come during the first years of parenthood.
This is an exciting role offering the opportunity to be involved in frontline delivery of groups, as well as using your own lived experience to input into development of the project.
You will be an effective communicator with experience of delivering groups or workshops. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is evaluated effectively.

About the Stacey Street Project - Our project was established in the summer of 2022 and was set up to pioneer new approaches to working with individuals who have experienced homelessness. “People with mental health problems will be enabled to manage their condition or move towards individualised recovery on their own terms, surrounded by their families, carers, and social networks, and supported in their local community”.
To this end, Northeast London foundation trust has engaged in a gradual programme of development, introducing new mental health and wellbeing Teams based around Primary Care Networks.
Central to the mental health and wellbeing teams are Peer support Workers who are core members of each team and fully integrated as part of the Transformation Programme. peer support workers represent an integral part of the wider programme of work which supports the Transformation of Mental Health Services agenda across Redbridge.
Purpose of the role
The post holder will provide support and recovery guidance to individuals experiencing common and severe mental health problems, using their own life experience of mental distress or as a carer and recovery as a template.
The Peer Worker Team will consist of five Peer Workers, as well as the Project Worker -lead who will provide day-to-day leadership and support to the Peer Worker Team.
The Peer Project Worker will be the key liaison between the NELFT Mental Health Wellness Teams, Team Manager and the Peer Workers. They will be supported to guide and lead the team to ensure project aims and objectives are achieved. They will report to and be supervised by the Operational Director for MindTHNR. They will be tasked with supporting the team to develop recovery-based programme for service users and members of the local community in partnership with statutory and community organisations.
Key Responsibilities
1. To ensure that all the team are represented at all Network meetings.
2. To work within both NELFT and MindTHNR values ethos and vision
3. To work in accordance with all policies and procedures of both NELFT and MindTHNR, particularly (but not exclusively) Health and Safety, Information Governance, risk management and Safeguarding
4. To work with a varied caseload of clients in one to one and group settings
5. To provide practical and emotional support to the Peer Workers and support them to use their personal life experience of mental health issues in an intentional and professional way to provide insight and motivational support in achieving recovery goals.
6. To set up monthly meetings with the team and incorporate reflective learning into these meetings.
7. To develop effective relationships with the Clinical Lead, the mental health teams and a range of external organisations and agencies
8. To promote the service and the peer support approach to communities and agencies as appropriate
9. To keep accurate and up to date records of client’s records
10. To ensure quality standards are adhered to and met and that audits are passed.
11. To ensure all statutory responsibilities are followed and reported as required.
General
· Act as an ambassador and represent Mind in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Redbridge at external functions, events, giving talks and presentations to inform and inspire.

· NVQ level 3 or equivalent standard of literacy and numeracy
· Lived experience of mental health service use – statutory or 3rd sector – as a service user or a carer.

· Experience of working with people facing a range of barriers and social issues including homelessness and substance misuse

We are looking for a Support Project Worker to join our team at the Gareth Stacey House, which is one of our 24-hour supported housing projects offering high levels of housing-related support for young people aged 16-25, with 15 bedspaces and shared communal facilities.
You will support a caseload of young people to develop living skills such as cleaning, budgeting, managing behaviour, seeking and securing employment and making wise decisions. You will bring your own individual and unique qualities to the team for the betterment of the team dynamic. You will work on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective and supportive staff during the day. You will develop your working knowledge of psychological models to aid in creating and finding solutions with the young people in the service. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk. In addition, you will complete reports, support plans and risk assessments on time and to a high standard.
Based on site, this role is on a seven-day rolling rota, including weekends and bank holidays, with shifts 8am - 4pm and 2pm - 10pm. There is a small amount of lone working, but you will get to know the team and project, along with extensive training prior to starting on a rota.

Provide Information, Advice, and Guidance:
• Offer information, advice, and guidance to individuals with sensory impairments, including British Sign Language users.
Assistive Technology Demonstration:
• Demonstrate assistive technology, including I.T. equipment, to visitors at the Resource Centre and during home visits.
• Provide advice on the suitability of assistive technology for individual needs.
Support NHS Hearing Aid Users:
• Provide support to hearing aid users, including maintenance of hearing aids both in the Resource Centre and in the community.
• Organise and arrange hearing aid clinics as needed.
Person-Centred Support:
• Conduct home visits to individuals with sensory impairments.
• Design and coordinate the implementation of person-centred support plans to enhance self confidence and promote independent living.
Sensory Awareness Training:
• Develop and deliver sensory awareness training sessions to various audiences, including medical students, the general public, professionals and colleagues.
Community Engagement:
• Represent Improving Lives Plymouth at workshops, exhibitions, presentations, and events to promote services within the community.
Volunteer and Student Training:
• Assist with the training and development of Sensory Solutions volunteers and visiting students.
Record Keeping:

Cash Handling Procedures:
• Implement secure cash handling procedures for equipment sales and loans, including cash register management and petty cash reconciliation.

They work to ensure that victims are supported to rebuild their lives, and that perpetrators are supported to change their behaviour. They are now searching for a Refuge Project Worker to join their team, working across Hampshire.
As a Refuge Project Worker you will ensure the needs of women and children living in the refuge are met, by providing advocacy, advice and assistance. You will play a key role in preventing domestic abuse by delivering one-to-one support, facilitating group work and holiday activities, and supporting children and young people and access and maintain education.
You will assist with the smooth running of the refuge on a day-to-day basis, finding alternative accommodation for women depending on need, and establishing resettlement support when clients are ready to move on. As a Refuge Project Worker you will establish effective working relationships with colleagues in other services including the Job Centre, Social Services, the local authority, police and voluntary agencies, assisting to increase their understanding of domestic violence issues taking and making referrals and acting in an advocacy role for women as necessary.
Ideal candidates will have experience providing support to vulnerable people and children under stress, and have the ability to build rapport with those participating in Stop Domestic Abuse’s services. Knowledge and awareness of the needs of women, men and children who have experienced domestic violence, and understanding of children protection and safeguarding is crucial, as is experience of facilitating support groups.
Experience of developing services for victims and survivors of domestic abuse is desirable but not crucial, as is awareness and knowledge of the benefits system, legal and housing issues affecting families escaping domestic violence. Due to the nature of the role, you are required to hold a clean driving license and have access to a vehicle. Please note this is a full-time role, 37 hours per week. There is a requirement for early morning/evening and weekend work in this job.

This role sits within our Nottinghamshire Service which works with and supports children and young people involved in and/or vulnerable to sexual exploitation/criminal exploitation and those young people that have required therapeutic support. We also have parent/carer support in place to emotionally support parents and carers that are impacted by exploitation and to raise awareness and increase understanding to enable to them to increase protection for their children.
We also deliver work around 'systems change' that challenge the challenges and barriers that exist within professional systems and processes that may increase further risk and harm for young people. The project supports young people who are wishing to exit the abusive and exploitative relationships/situations they find themselves involved/forced into. It also works preventatively with children and young people in a variety of settings as well as offering training and information sessions to groups of professionals regarding sexual exploitation.

As Project Lead for APAP's Night Shelter provision you will be responsible for a caseload of clients and the wider management of the Night Shelter project. You will work with clients from assessment, through to placement in our provision and then support them to move beyond homelessness.
We work in partnership to provide single room, 24 hour staffed accommodation to clients in our provision. You will take a lead on maintaining a relationship with the accommodation provider through regular liaison and communication. You will also lead on all casework in relation to our clients, assessing their needs and supporting them to attend and engage with the services they need to move through and beyond homelessness.
Working predominantly with clients that have No Recourse to Public Funds, our Night Shelter Provision provides respite from the streets and an opportunity to work across agencies to address issues including immigration, mental and physical health and substance misuse.
As a Project Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day running of a residential unit, providing emotional and practical support to 16 adult male residents in overcoming addiction, and enabling them to live independently through support planning, assessments and key working and delivering group-work sessions.
As an excellent team player with great communication skills, you will have experience and knowledge of our service user group and their surrounding issues. Competence in the use of Microsoft Office tools is essential. SVQ 3 in Social Care or equivalent is desirable, coupled with experience in a Residential/Housing support setting.
