The Role
As the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will spearhead the expansion of our Corporate and Community Giving portfolio. This role involves enhancing relationships with current donors, partnerships with new businesses, and playing a critical role in our Fundraising & Trading Department. You will be instrumental in managing income streams projected to raise £150,000 this year, with ambitions for future growth. Your role will also encompass being a prominent figure in the community, delivering fundraising talks, attending networking events and being an advocate for Bath Cats and Dogs Home.

About You
You are a dynamic individual with a successful track record in corporate fundraising, capable of securing significant income through corporate and community events. Your skills include:

• Exceptional leadership and the ability to manage and mentor a team.
• Strong marketing abilities, both online and offline, to achieve financial and recruitment targets.
• Excellent public engagement and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in IT and CRM databases, ideally with experience in Raisers Edge.

The Details

About the role

The role of the Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager is to generate income to meet the Charity’s fundraising requirements by maintaining and developing successful partnerships with corporate and community group supporters, through donations, sponsorship, employee and group fundraising activities and events (organised both by Hope and third parties).

As a Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager at Hope, you will work alongside our existing Corporate and Community Fundraiser. Together you will be responsible for the delivery of corporate and community activities, and our annual income and expenditure budget.

Role Information

The Finance Manager is a key strategic role within the organization and will be part of the Senior Leadership Team.  The post holder will work at a strategic level and attend and be answerable to the Board of Trustees in the areas of Finance, Compliance and Risk and undertake the position of GDPR lead on behalf of the organization working within the wider Senior Leadership Team that includes a CEO, Business Development Manager, Training and Development Manager and Operations Manager.

As Family Gateway enters into year 2 of its 3-year strategic plan, this is an exciting time in which the Board of Trustees, Senior Leadership team, staff and volunteers will shape the future of service delivery for the community that it serves in Howdon and Wallsend and as it reaches beyond and across the North East with its Barefoot Professional Model of service delivery with steady growth in mind.  The post holder therefore will be required to have a good understanding of the political and funding landscape and be able to form good stakeholder relationships.

The post holder will manage a small core staff team and will oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including Payroll, Debtors, Creditors, and Banking. The post holder will be responsible for Budgets, Management Accounts, Taxation, and all income streams including Grant Funding. In addition, the postholder will ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met, Companies House and the Charity Commission. The post holder will also be the key contact for auditing, and other financial needs as necessary and will track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement. 

The post holder will also seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company and research and analyze financial reports and market trends.  The post holder will also be responsible for the management of Family Gateways assets, IT and quality assurance systems and will ensure Family Gateway is complaint in all areas of risk, governance and business.

Key Accountabilities:

• To be responsible for the oversight of all Financial Services including risk management systems and processes within Family Gateway reporting directly to the CEO.

• The post holder will stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes and oversee all IT and data functions within the organization

• Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company

• Understand and adhere to Statutory and Regulatory financial regulations and legislation, including Companies House and The Charity Commissioners.

• To oversee the day-to-day management of the organizational risk register ensuring it is up to date and prepared for sub committee

• To write and/or contribute to the writing of tenders and grant applications and where appropriate collate information to aid the reporting requirements of funders

• To manage a small core function team as directed by the CEO providing regular supervision, performance management and annual appraisals.

• Be responsible for the maintenance and management of the Contracts Database ensuring all information is uploaded or removed as appropriate and that regular monitoring of this information provides information to the CEO and other managers in order to inform sound project management delivering projects to scale, to time and within budget

• To work in partnership with operations staff and The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) supporting the maintenance of an effective IT and CRM system which in turn will measure project data and produce KPI’s.

• Liaise with IT provider to ensure Cyber Security integrity measures are in place and working effectively. Control and Monitor IT access via Role Permissions and Passwords.

• To Control and Monitor as the GDPR Lead for the organization, keeping up to date with ICO registration and guidance and overseeing a robust Data Breach Register, ensuring all staff are trained annually in line with company policy

• Produce accurate and timely financial management information on a monthly basis to support decision-making and to present information to the Board of Trustees, attending Board meetings as required

• Establish and maintain appropriate, robust and secure financial recording processes for purchasing and payment of items and management of petty cash, including Cash Floats, Fixed Asset Register, Banking, and Taxation including VAT.

• To produce and prepare annual budgets and cost scenarios for the Board of Trustees, CEO and SLT and to host monthly finance reviews with SLT

• To ensure timely payroll data is prepared, checked and processed prior to submission to third party provider and thereafter import to Finance system via journal entry. To oversee appropriate pension and insurance provision is in place on behalf of the company and that legal compliance is followed.

• Prepare ad hoc financial and activity information to support new project development plans as required

• To engage fully in management meetings, supervision and appraisals

• Demonstrate professionalism, tenacity and empathy in their work

• To undertake any reasonable task as requested in line with the senior nature of this role

• Adhere to and work demonstrating Family Gateway values and support development of the Barefoot Professional Model.

The Autism Centre of Excellence exists to improve access to high quality support and remove barriers and stigma for autistic people, but to do this we need to grow our funding.

We aim to raise £5 million over the next five years to increase our reach, impact and activities, whilst creating a sustainable and predictable income stream for the charity. To do this we need to systematically build a pipeline of donors and supporters, to build profile and new relationships. In the short term we need someone who can lead the development of a series of applications to trusts, foundations and other sources of funding to support our priority workstreams.

Main duties and Responsibilities

• Primary focus will be on managing and soliciting income from your own portfolio of high value trusts, foundations and statutory funders, securing gifts of between £10,000 - £1,000,000 to successfully achieve the charity’s ambitious fundraising targets.
• Secondary focus will be on the planning and delivery of first-class Special Events and Major Donor fundraising.
• Create a robust prospect pipeline of effectively researched and qualified funders, ensuring a continued flow of prospects through the pipeline, taking a sales approach to lead generation and the assessment of the warmth and value donors.
• Deliver effective research of prospective and existing donors, which enables us to raise significant income through both new and existing relationships; utilising our networks effectively.
• Implement effective cultivation and stewardship journeys that provides a high-quality supporter experience to your portfolio of donors and prospects.
• Deliver first-class relationship management to ensure excellent ongoing relationships with donors in both a written and face-to-face capacity.
• Deliver exceptional writing skills through proposal and bid writing and day-to-day communication with donors and colleagues.
• Fully understand the charity’s projects and activities to both ascertain their suitability as funding propositions and communicate them in a compelling manner to funders.

Who we are

The problem - On average, 160 young people are excluded from school each week. Once excluded, prospects for these young people are bleak, with only 4% achieving good GCSE grades, and 67% entering sustained education, employment or training compared to 96% of their non-excluded peers. This can be a pipeline to prison, with concerning statistics showing 63% of prisoners having been excluded from school.

Our mission - To ensure that young people who have been excluded from school are not excluded from society.

Who we serve - We support the hardest to reach young people in the most disadvantaged communities, each of whom are most at risk of experiencing school exclusion or are at risk of being excluded. Young people who are eligible for free school meals are 4x more likely to get excluded, along with black Caribbean boys. Young people with special educational needs are also six times as likely to be excluded as their peers.

Our work - We work in a number of different settings both during term time and after school. Our coaches lead small groups of 8-10 young people, using sport as a hook and mentorship as an anchor to develop their soft skills, as well as improve their physical & mental wellbeing. This, coupled with exposure to the work place through Career Taster Days, raises their aspirations and puts young people in a better position to enter sustained education, employment or training (EET) when they leave school.

ROLE SPECIFICS

Location: Home working or office-based in London, Edinburgh, or Cardiff
Working patterns: Full time / 35 hours, 1.00FTW, with typical working hours between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. National charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, trains dogs to transform the lives of deaf people and provides hearing loss services, because nobody with hearing loss should feel alone.

What you will be doing

This role supports the delivery of our Individual Giving programme, specifically in support of our Puppy Sponsorship Scheme. The delivery of exceptional supporter care across multiple channels lies at the heart of the Supporter Services team and forms an integral part of the Individual Giving retention strategy. In many instances, you will be the first line of enquiry either by telephone, email, social media, or letter (and occasionally face-to-face) for Hearing Dogs’ supporters.

• Present a professional, positive, and proactive approach to supporter care and adherence to best practice regarding stewardship and supporter engagement.
• Be proactive in stewardship process improvement and development, maintaining up-to-date guidance notes for areas of your work.
• Ensure all interactions with supporters are logged in the CRM system and where appropriate passed on to the relevant team(s) in a timely manner.
• Use KPIs and SLAs to track, measure, and report on performance to ensure supporter care consistently meets our high standards.  
• Process telephone, post and email enquiries/donations regarding and related to the Puppy Sponsorship Scheme, and ensure that all queries are responded to and resolved within recommended stewardship guidelines and timeframes for the team.
• Assist with maintenance of Puppy Sponsorship data on the Charity’s CRM to ensure supporter records are up-to-date and accurate, flagging any issues to the Supporter Services Manager.
• Prepare data for Puppy Sponsorship updates and build email communications.

Developed in 2011 the Approved Provider Scheme is a voluntary standards-based accreditation for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury.

The scheme enables Approved Provider units to affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. The Approved Provider Associate Manager will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with their Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

• Contributing to the development and growth of Headway’s Approved Provider scheme, by continuing to drive forward standards and onboarding new units. 
• Working with freelance Lead Assessors and Service User Perspective Assessors who are based around the UK, to organise assessments and ensure the schemes standards are upheld.

ABOUT YOU

About the role 

You’ll be responsible for the ownership and effective management of our Raiser's Edge CRM platform. This role entails the management of campaign selections and data imports, along with a wider remit to contribute to our longer-term CRM strategy of migrating to Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud.

You’ll manage and develop two team members, assume ownership of  our new data quality platform, and help drive greater focus on data integrity. 

What you’ll do:

• Combine hands-on technical skills with planning, resourcing and stakeholder management.
• Manage and support the import of data from  third party data suppliers.
• Manage and support the extraction and supply of data for marketing campaigns to agreed timelines
• Develop existing data management processes to identify improvements and implement them. 
• Leverage the PUK Data Quality platform to enhance data quality across the organisation, and help define and ensure data standards are applied at all times
• Identify, understand and address data quality issues at source, and define and implement data quality monitoring and management processes

Through this role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with corporate partners and large scale, multi-year grant giving Trusts and Foundations. You’ll grow our portfolio of flagship fundraising events, and you’ll lead the fundraising team, inspiring income growth across donor stewardship, community fundraising, individual giving and our wider relationships with grant giving Trusts and Foundations.

You'll be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships.

Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships and growing income with corporate partners and large scale Trusts and Foundations to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.

Key Responsibilities

· Through excellent, comprehensive, and considered research, you’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential large scale, multi-year Trusts and Foundations funders for Horsham Matters. Working with colleagues, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding bids that can successfully engage and grow these new Trusts and Foundations funders.  

· You’ll proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors. You’ll develop funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage corporate partners and align with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.

· You’ll lead and grow our portfolio of flagship fundraising events, helping us engage a variety of prospective and existing donors.

· You’ll lead the fundraising team and line manage the two team members (our Trusts & Foundations Officer and our Community Fundraising Assistant). Working with the fundraising team to set fundraising priorities and to ensure that we maximise our opportunities for donor stewardship, relationship management and income growth across community fundraising, individual giving, and wider trusts fundraising. 

· You’ll develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio establishing a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income. You’ll successfully manage competing, proactive and reactive fundraising opportunities to ensure that Horsham Matters remains focused on its fundraising priorities.

Skills

· You’ll have established and proven experience of corporate partnerships and trusts and foundations fundraising. You’ll also have a good understanding of other aspects of fundraising.

· With excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling and winning funding proposals and appeals.

· You’ll have experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising KPI’s, budgets and priorities.

· You’ll have experience of line management.  

· You’ll be well organised, proactive, and a self-starter who is able to self-motivate. You’ll be able to build relationships and rapport with colleagues across the organisation.
