Job Title: Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business)
Reporting To: Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager
Salary Range:£40,000 - £44,000 (Dependent upon experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, full time
Location: Hybrid, with weekly visits to our sites across London (mainly to Old Street, Canary Wharf).
Working days/hours per week: 35 hours, 9am - 5pm.

Purpose of the Job:
The Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business) drives income growth by securing high-value, multi-year corporate partnerships. With new business separated from account management, and as The Felix Project moves through its merger with FareShare to form a larger national food redistribution network, the role requires a strategic, results-driven specialist who can build a robust pipeline, develop compelling propositions and convert interest into significant private-sector income. Working within the wider Income Generation Team, the post-holder collaborates across all fundraising streams to ensure opportunities are aligned and maximised.
The role leads prospect research, pitch development, early-stage cultivation, income forecasting and CRM accuracy, and ensures a smooth transition of secured partners into account management. The role also works with senior leaders, including the CEO and Trustees, to unlock major opportunities linked to the merger and the organisation’s expanding national profile.
Additionally, the post-holder will build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation, engaging with key internal stakeholders such as the CEO and Trustees to identify and cultivate funding opportunities. The role may require evening and weekend work to attend networking or corporate partner event and to support fundraising events.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Secure High-Value, Multi-Year Partnerships – Proactively identify and secure six-figure, multi-year corporate partnerships across various industries.
- Expand Corporate Partnerships Pipeline – Develop and drive multiple income streams, including strategic partnerships, corporate foundations, grants, commercial opportunities, sponsorships, and social value initiatives.
- Develop and Pitch New Business Propositions – Create compelling fundraising initiatives and business cases to attract new corporate partners.
- Leverage Sector Knowledge & Relationship Management – Use commercial acumen to build strong relationships, secure new partnerships, and maximize corporate engagement.
- Manage Inbound Partnership Opportunities – Respond to and convert corporate interest, particularly in corporate volunteering, into long-term partnerships.
- Strategic Collaboration & Fundraising Implementation – Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement corporate fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with KPIs and organizational goals.
- Support Strategic Partner Development – Assist the Senior Partnerships Manager and Head of Corporate Partnerships in developing key corporate relationships for sustainable income growth.
- Financial Oversight & Budgeting – Assist in forecasting budgets, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accurate income reporting in collaboration with the Finance Team.
- Maintain & Track Partnerships Data – Keep up-to-date records of funding partnerships, ensuring a structured cultivation cycle aligned with team processes.
- Ensure Compliance & Best Practices – Adhere to GDPR, fundraising regulations, and relevant legislation while maintaining ethical fundraising practices.
- Collaborate on Partner Onboarding – Work with the Account Management team to ensure a smooth transition for new corporate partners.
- Contribute to Corporate Income Targets – Play an active role in achieving the team’s annual corporate income goals.

- Experience of securing income from Social Value Bids, Commercial and/or Sponsorship for physical assets or mass participation challenge events.

- Proven Track Record – Experience in securing high-value corporate partnerships in a new business focused role (at a minimum, six figure, multi-year partnerships).
- New Business Development – Strong ability to research, identify, and secure new corporate funding opportunities both restricted and unrestricted income.
- Proposal & Pitching Expertise – Skilled in developing compelling business cases, proposals, grant applications and presentations.
- Relationship Management – Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate stakeholders. A natural networker that can seek out opportunity in every room.
- Strategic Thinking – Ability to create strategic and purposeful partnerships outside of the traditional corporate fundraising models of charity of the year etc.

- Data Management – Experience using CRM systems to track prospects and ensure accurate reporting.

Flexibility
Our services are delivered across the city of Derby and Ilkeston, therefore building relationships in our area is key to the role. We will consider remote working for up to two days a week after induction, or part time working from 25+ per week (35 hours is full time).

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Research and Clinical Trials, you will manage the portfolio of active Research Awards and develop an in-depth knowledge of the portfolio to support internal and external communications. This will include developing appropriate monitoring strategies for projects within the portfolio to ensure key milestones are tracked against plans, acting as a key contact point for Award holders and staff within the Charity.
As Research Grants Manager, you will support the delivery of our research strategy and progress with our strategy through engagement with researchers and collection of key data. The role includes engaging with researchers, developing and maintaining monitoring systems and data collection, and oversight of ongoing research awards and budgets.
Specifically, you will:
Research award management and governance
Ensure Research Awards are effectively managed, allocated funding is used as planned and the impact is monitored:
- Develop strong relationships with award holders and serve as the main point of contact for any issues with research awards.
- Manage funded awards, ensuring monitoring processes are fit for purpose. Monitor the progress of research awards, through regular meetings with award holders and ensuring satisfactory progress reports are submitted.
- Develop appropriate management processes for new funding initiatives.
Research strategy development and implementation
· With the Head of Research and Clinical Trials and the wider Research Funding Team, set the Research Funding Team objectives and budgets ensuring they underpin the delivery of the organisational strategy.
· Maintain awareness of the external research environment, including working with the, AMRC and relevant funding organisations such as the NIHR and other health charities and developments in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Team collaboration, management and development
· Coach and develop the Research Funding team, whilst role modelling the values of the charity.
· Work closely with the other Research Grants Managers and provide cover when needed.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
· To have a Post Graduate Qualification in a relevant subject or a degree in a relevant subject area with demonstratable experience in a charity, research or health environment, at a similar level.
· To have an in depth understanding of research funding mechanisms including peer review processes and management of research awards.
· To have demonstratable experience of research funding and/or management of clinical research.
· To have experience of managing budgets and analysing expenditure of grant awards.
· To have experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with a broad range of external stakeholders including senior academics, medical consultants, public health experts and members of the public.
· To have excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills with an ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
· To be an experienced user of PubMed and other research literature databases.
· To have good project management skills including budget control.
· To have excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple complex projects.
· To be able develop reports and present complex information to range of stakeholders.
· To have strong IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) and experience in using databases.

About the role
As Gift Aid Manager, you will oversee our end-to-end Donation Gift Aid programme, working closely with fundraising, data, finance and external partners. You'll need to be confident, hitting the ground running, building strong relationships quickly, and taking ownership of complex, cross-organisational processes.
We are looking for a true Gift Aid professional. This is not just a data or process management role: you will be the organisation's go-to authority on Gift Aid, providing expert advice and training, leading assurance activity, shaping strategy and building capability across teams.
This role sits at the heart of that income, ensuring we maximise every eligible pound while meeting the highest standards of compliance, assurance and supporter experience.
In this role, you will:
- Act as the internal expert and trusted adviser on Gift Aid for fundraising, data and finance teams
- Oversee the end-to-end Gift Aid programme, ensuring compliance, accuracy and an excellent supporter experience
- Develop and deliver a Gift Aid strategy to maximise income and identify new opportunities across fundraising
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC Gift Aid regulations, leading on regulatory change and liaising with HMRC
- Own organisational Gift Aid knowledge management, including documentation, guidance and training
- Lead Gift Aid assurance and audits, ensuring HMRC-audit readiness and issue resolution
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Extensive practical knowledge of HMRC Gift Aid regulations, with experience of Gift Aid management and/or auditing
- Experience working with Gift Aid data and supporter databases (Salesforce preferred), and managing end-to-end, data-driven processes
- Strong understanding of charity fundraising income streams and related regulations, including data protection
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, delivering to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, including experience explaining complex Gift Aid requirements and delivering training or guidance
