 Maximise Giving

You will implement a philanthropic giving strategy that significantly shifts the museums approach towards the generation of substantial philanthropic income and that supports the Museum's vision and mission. You will work collaboratively with the Executive, Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to establish a long-term plan and supporting fundraising strategies that align and help the museum move forward with its objectives.

 Cultivate and Steward Donors

You will actively cultivate and steward relationships with potential and existing donors, for major new, repeat and legacy gifts, significantly raising the profile of Beamish, generating excitement and a desire to support Beamish now and into the future across a range of projects.  These will be supported by stewardship plans that foster mutual trust to secure ongoing support. 

Reputation and Engagement

You will build the profile of the Museum through donor engagement.  You will personally manage a portfolio of prospective donors, guiding them through the cultivation process, and ultimately securing new funding. You will work closely with the CEO building new networks, opening new doors and linking with communities in support of the museum's philanthropic goals and furthering its reputation and that of the sector.

Successful Philanthropy Team

You will ensure a high performing team is in place that supports Beamish’s Philanthropic strategy, imbuing a culture of innovation and enterprise across the museum. The team will ensure day to day delivery of the function, including to trusts and grants, provide excellent customer service, and produce timely data to support and measure the impact of all giving.  The team will champion equality, diversity and sustainability and creating a strong culture of philanthropy throughout Beamish. 

Essential Qualities, Experience and Knowledge

• Significant experience working at a senior level, building strong relationships with supporters who can give at a six/seven figure level.
• Demonstrable extensive networks, including trusts and foundations, corporate partners and high net worth individuals.
• Personal track record of securing six figure donations from Trusts and Foundations
• An excellent communicator who can inspire staff, volunteers and colleagues in taking our philanthropic strategy forwards.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills including tact, sophistication and gravitas 
• ·Able to work collaboratively, engaging with colleagues to design robust project proposals and reporting, monitoring and evaluation systems
• Skilled in utilising financial information including project budgets

The Opportunity

The Business Development Director will have strategic responsibility for income and growth, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maximise business opportunities. You will lead development of key partnerships with new and existing stakeholders, commercialisation of services, and lead the communications and marketing strategy. The post holder will lead the Business Development Team, developing collaborative partnerships and leadership as part of the SLT and by supporting the Leeds Mind Board of Trustees.  You should have excellent commercial awareness, communication and interpersonal skills, drive and commitment to promote and deliver innovate high quality provision and experiences for people with mental health difficulties.

The Business Development Director will set a clear strategic plan for growth, leading our tendering and partnership processes to fulfil our strategic objectives and maximise our impact. In collaboration with CEO  and SLT, you will inform the strategic direction and deliver against key performance indicators in creating a progressive and agile culture. You will lead the implementation and development of income generation, developing and implementing strategies to drive all income streams to drive growth. You will develop a pipeline to maximise income from corporate partnerships, (including training), whilst looking at diversifying the portfolio to generate new business

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience/success in a leadership role in Charity Income Generation and sustainable business development
• Working knowledge of Charity Income Generation and regulations
• Good understanding of bid framework, commissioning, and tendering
• Experience of Third sector and charitable trusts
• Proven experience in devising, managing, and implementing a budget, financial modelling including meeting/exceeding targets.

Fluency in English is essential and French is highly desirable. Knowledge of language relevant to Fauna & Flora’s work, such as Bahasa, Swahili, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish, will be highly valuable.

Fauna & Flora is part of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative in The David Attenborough Building, providing a great platform for collaboration with other conservation organisations and University of Cambridge departments and institutions. The North-West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North-West Region.

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) tackles serious organised crime across the North West region. The NWROCU carries out investigations into serious and organised crime on behalf of police forces in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and North Wales. The lead force for NWROCU is Merseyside Police, with the Assistant Chief Constable of NWROCU reporting into Chief Constable Serena Kennedy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner as a fully qualified accountant to provide pro-active professionally qualified support and guidance to budget holders for the financial management of the ROCU. This is an amazing opportunity to work for a regional unit, building close relationships across 6 Regional Forces, Home Office and the ROCU Network. As Merseyside Police are the Lead Force for the collaboration; the NWROCU follow lead force Financial Regulations and the successful post holder will build close working relationships with the Merseyside Finance Department.

Job Description

As a Senior Finance Business Partner you will provide pro-active professionally qualified support and guidance to budget holders for the financial management of the ROCU. Assist the Head of Enabling Services in the provision of a professional financial planning, management and accounting service, maintaining the integrity of NWROCU's financial records, and developing new systems and processes to comply with legislation, with a clear focus on ensuring best use of resources based on sound and demonstrable financial reasoning.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with budget holders and senior managers, ensuring that needs of the budget holder are fully satisfied, and SLA's adhered to.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting upon the financial position of units to relevant stakeholders using appropriate means of communication and methods of financial analysis to ensure an effective and efficient budget management service is provided. This will include attendance at key SLT/Command Team meetings as the finance expert.
• Provision of professional challenge, support and advice to budget holders over a wider range of subjects, with a clear focus on obtaining best value, and best use of resources for the Force. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Review and monitor expenditure on supplies and services; and produce recommendations for improved efficiencies where appropriate for effective financial management of the NWROCU budget.
• Provide assistance with the preparation of the capital programme in order to determine the capital financing requirement of the NWROCU.
• Maintain the asset register and capital accounting records ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Provide technical input in the development of budget monitoring to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and to meet specific requirements of the NWROCU.
• Complete statutory returns and grant claims; prepare appropriate working papers to ensure the maintenance of financial accounts.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will:

• Be a Fully qualified CCAB Accountant.
• Have experience of working within a large and complex financial environment; with specific knowledge and experience of fulfilling a budget management role.
• Have advanced communication skills to deal effectively with a variety of potential stakeholders. This includes the ability to challenge devolved budget managers, and budget holders, present and disseminate financial information effectively to nonfinancial officers, and to present both verbal and written reports to Chief Officers and other stakeholders.
• Well-developed analytical skills, and the ability to pro-actively respond to financial issues as they arise.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

The Senior Philanthropy Manager will line manage the Philanthropy Officer, supporting their development and fostering an overall culture of collaboration and high performance. Their creative flair and understanding of what mobilises individual giving audiences will help them to develop compelling propositions for support. As individual giving lead, the Senior Income & Engagement Officer will join War on Want at a very exciting time. We have recently launched a new supporter mobilisation strategy to bring transformative growth to our supporter base, both increasing participation with War on Want campaigns, and increasing the number of active War on Want members who support our work with regular monthly donations.

This position would suit an experienced fundraiser who’s looking to take ownership of an individual giving strategy. In doing so, they will oversee a significant proportion of War on Want’s income and engagement Programme and make a valued contribution in the fight against global poverty.

To succeed in this role you'll be a strong copywriter with the ability to adapt and adhere to the Ambition tone of voice and style guide. It is essential that you have experience in creating content in a range of formats and for a range of channels. Whilst it would be desirable for you to have design skills with experience of using InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop, this is not essential for the role.

You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable you to build authentic relationships with members, donors, partners and commissioners.  You will also need experience in leading change within an organisation, supporting our team on our journey of growth and sustainability.

You will need to be approachable, organised and have excellent communication skills with good IT skills to be able to excel in fundraising.

Duties Include:

Fundraising and project development:

· Lead the implementation of Bexley Mencap’s Fundraising Strategy; reviewing existing fundraising strategies, identifying opportunities for development and introducing innovative strategies to achieve fundraising goals. 

· Research and pursue new funding opportunities; including grants, legacies and social enterprise/earned income opportunities.

· Develop compelling cases for support, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly

· Develop and maintain funding pipelines, providing reports to the Trustee Board

· Support and line manage part-time member of the team (may be required to support more staff if the role grows/adapts)

· Support the Chief Executive in extending and strengthening relationships with existing partners and developing new relationships

· Ensure all fundraising initiatives adhere to best practices, ethical guidelines and legislation

· Identify and evaluate opportunities for new projects and initiatives aligned with the mission and objectives of the organisation.

· Lead the development of project proposals, including conducting needs assessments, defining project scopes, and establishing timelines and budgets.

· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project implementation and delivery.

Organisational Change and Growth:

· Work closely with the senior leadership team to identify areas for organisational growth and improvement.

· Champion initiatives aimed at enhancing organisational capacity, efficiency, and sustainability.

· Support change management processes to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

· Coach, motivate and guide staff and volunteers

Elders Voice is a local charity serving older people in Brent. We are recruiting a CEO to lead our talented and experienced staff team through a period of change to ensure our financial security.

Elders Voice is an established and trusted charity in the heart of Kensal Green. We believe ageing should be a wonderful and worthwhile journey, but for that to happen older people need to feel safe and happy in their homes and have access to affordable activities in an environment that embraces their differences. 

The pillars of our work are a well-respected handyperson service and a day centre offering a range of activities focusing on health and well-being, socialising, art, gardening and intergenerational work with and for older people.

The CEO will need to embrace our aims and lead the EV team to provide services based on holistic, long-term, high-quality relationships and to ensure that older people shape development of our services. In this difficult economic environment, we need to explore new funding opportunities and transition away from a reliance on local authority funding.

You will report directly to the Chair of the Board of Trustees and be supported by the board and a small, dedicated staff team.

The HR Officer will be responsible for providing support to the Senior HR Business Partner and the wider People and Culture team in the delivery of HR services. The role will focus on a range of HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, aspects of payroll, L&D, travel logistics and other generalist HR duties. A key part of the role will be to provide support in identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet all Muslim Aid’s staffing needs.

Chief Operating Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Operating Officer to join the team in this hybrid-working role.

About the Role

Our team currently consists of 8 dedicated staff members and is led by our CEO, Anne Bishop. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a new role for BAUS. It will be a key part of our Senior Leadership Team, playing a vital part in the development and implementation of our strategy and deputising for the Chief Executive.

The COO role provides the essential financial stability and operational facilities to enable future growth through leadership and management of finance, maintaining and developing our IT infrastructure, and ensuring effective governance and regulatory compliance.
