Our client, a significant UK-focused grant-making foundation, is looking to recruit a Grant Manager to manage and develop a portfolio of grants, focusing in particular on enabling disadvantaged children and young people to fulfil their potential (with a focus on education attainment, employability, wellbeing and youth development) and health and wellbeing.
The foundation’s approach to grant-making is distinctive, in that it focuses on capacity building to strengthen the impact, effectiveness and/or sustainability/resilience of non-profit organisations so they can thrive and fulfil their mission and goals.
The role:
Role: Grant Manager
Location: London. This is a full-time role based in London (Cannon Street) and the post holder will need to be in the office at least 2-3 days per week, and available for additional days/travel for site visits and meetings as required.
Salary: £47k - £53k + comprehensive benefits
Reports to: Head of UK Programmes
Working closely with the Head of the UK Programmes, the Grant Manager will play a critical role in the development, delivery, and management of a significant portfolio of grants across the UK foundation’s priority programme areas, with a focus on health and wellbeing and children and young people (working on grant-making across other programme areas - arts, culture and heritage and environmental conservation as required).
The foundation has evolved significantly in recent years, and this is an exciting time to join the foundations as they look to grow and develop grant portfolios, continue to finesse their grant-making strategies, and deepen their understanding of the impact of their grants. While this role is UK focused, the post-holder will get exposure to the grant-making of affiliated foundations that have an international focus.
The candidate:
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of and significant experience within the non-profit sector in the UK, ideally having a combination of grant-making experience as well as direct experience of working within, and/or acting as a consultant to, mid to large sized non-profits that are active in the fields of interest to the foundation.
In terms of subject matter expertise, candidates will have in-depth knowledge and experience within the Disadvantaged Children & Young People, and/or Health & Wellbeing sectors.

In addition to excellent analytical skills, the successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to understand and articulate complex information clearly and concisely, especially in written form. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities will be key to success in this role. You will be comfortable working at pace, with a range of digital systems (including proprietary ones as required), and you will continuously look at ways that the team can keep getting better. You will be excellent at working as part of a remote team, building relationships and managing your time effectively.

Additional Oak closure days over Christmas/New Year

About Us
Head and neck cancer is one of the fastest-rising cancers in the UK, now affecting around 14,000 people every year — the 5th most common cancer among men, 7th overall, and the fastest growing among young people. Too often, symptoms are missed or misunderstood, and more than half of cases are diagnosed at a late stage. That means compromised survival rates, more invasive treatment, and a recovery that can mean a new way of eating, speaking and living.
Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK exists to change that story. We work to prevent cancers where possible, drive earlier detection, and make sure people have clear information, support and guidance through and after treatment — so nobody has to cope in silence or confusion. We also fund groundbreaking research and collaborate across the sector to maximise our impact for patients.
As the only national charity dedicated to head and neck cancers, we're moving in an exciting new direction — and we have a unique opportunity to build an organisation that delivers maximum impact for patients and their families, while staying true to our roots.
The Role
We're looking for an Individual Giving, Community & Events Fundraiser to join our small, ambitious team. You'll bring broad experience of individual giving and community fundraising (or strong transferable skills), and you'll be confident organising events and stewarding supporters across their whole journey with us.
We need someone flexible, hands-on, and ready to get stuck into everything a small charity has to offer. We push boundaries for our patient community, so we value people who bring innovation and aren't afraid to seize opportunities as they arise.
We offer a competitive salary and remote working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and professional development and mentorship opportunities.
How to Apply
To apply, please submit your CV and a supporting statement of no more than 2 sides each. The statement must clearly demonstrate your relevant experience and how you meet the person specification set out in the full job description attached.

Working closely with the Head of Income Generation, you'll lead our events and community fundraising programme, line manage our Community Partnerships function and play a key role in developing one of the charity's most important income streams.
About You
We're looking for someone with experience in events and/or community fundraising who enjoys working with people and creating new opportunities.
You will be organised, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable taking responsibility for your own work. You will enjoy developing relationships with supporters, community groups and colleagues, and won't be afraid to try new ideas if they have the potential to grow income or improve our supporters’ experience.
You will recognise the importance of delivering an excellent experience for our supporters and understand the role that events and community fundraising play in helping Birmingham Dogs Home achieve its ambitions.
