3. About the Role

This is a brand-new role with the exciting opportunity to help shape and grow Save the Rhino International’s fundraising from high-net-worth individuals, charitable family trusts and foundations, and corporate partners who share our passion for conservation. As Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager, you will lead on building and managing relationships with both new and existing supporters, helping to secure significant funding to support our long-term goals.

You’ll be responsible for the full supporter and partner journey, from identifying and approaching new prospects, to developing tailored proposals, making personal asks, and delivering excellent stewardship. You’ll bring a collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and a flair for building lasting partnerships based on shared values and trust.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role, working closely with colleagues across fundraising and communications. It’s ideal for someone with a strong track record in philanthropy and partnership fundraising who’s ready to take the lead and make a real impact for rhinos in the wild.

4. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic planning and direction
  • Review and refine the philanthropy and partnerships objectives and targets within our 2025–2030 organisational strategy, annual workplans and budgets, with the aim of increasing five- and six-figure donations
     
• Prospect identification and pipeline development
  • Identify new prospects across high-net-worth individuals, family trusts and foundations, and corporate trusts and foundations
  • Maintain and develop a robust pipeline of prospects and funders, using data insights and forecasting to inform planning and prioritisation
  • Conduct due diligence to ensure alignment with Save the Rhino’s values and ethical fundraising practices
     
• Relationship building, cultivation and stewardship
  • Nurture long-term relationships with existing and prospective high net-worth individuals, charitable family trusts and foundations, corporate supporters, and Donor-Advised Funds
  • Proactively build and leverage networks, including through Save the Rhino’s Patrons and Ambassadors programmes, to unlock new opportunities
  • Assess and respond to new partnership enquiries (philanthropic or corporate), exploring alignment and developing tailored approaches
  • Design and deliver effective stewardship plans for all high-value individuals, charitable family trusts and foundations, and corporates, ensuring timely acknowledgement, reporting, and ongoing engagement

Essential skills and experience

• Proven ability to design and implement fundraising strategies for high value donors, including developing cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans
• Minimum 3 years’ fundraising experience with high net-worth individuals, family trusts and foundations and proven track record of securing and managing significant five and six figure donations
• Experience in developing stewardship and recognition strategies that deepen engagement and foster long-term support
• Knowledge of key sector regulations and guidance, including from the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, and Chartered Institute of Fundraising, with a strong understanding of GDPR and data protection
• Experience using CRM systems and fundraising databases, with an understanding of how to apply data mining and segmentation strategies to support donor engagement and income generation
• Experience of developing high-quality funding proposals and narrative and financial reports
• Very strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships across geographies and cultures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to translate complex issues into compelling content that engages and inspires through storytelling
• Ability to work independently and accurately with attention to detail and meet deadlines as well as collaboratively as a part of cross-cutting teams across organisations
• Financial competence in budgeting, income and expenditure management

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. This role will require you to lead on organic social media as part of the DEC Communications team, working closely with the Digital and Innovation team in Fundraising, collaborate with social leads across our 15 member charities and public figures through our talent agency. During appeal launch periods it will also involve managing a small social media team of volunteers.

Operation Christmas Child UK (OCC) has implemented a strategic volunteer ministry, investing in teams of volunteers who will multiply themselves and hugely extend the reach of OCC’s mission.

OCC is the world’s largest shoebox appeal where Samaritan’s Purse, together with local churches here and overseas, distributes from the UK 1/4 million gift-filled shoeboxes annually to children in need overseas and in so doing demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

A resourceful and energetic Regional Manager is needed to recruit, select, equip, and lead teams of volunteers throughout the 32 London boroughs.

You will be passionate about developing others towards highly effective ministry, teamwork and increased personal competency.

You will also directly engage churches to participate in OCC in areas not yet covered by Connect volunteers. A special opportunity will be engaging London churches that have partnered with our sister ministry, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for the June 2025 God Loves You Tour London.

About the Role

Sex Education Forum was founded in 1987 and became an independent charity in 2021. We convene over 70 Partner organisations, working together to make sure that the relationships and sex education (RSE) young people get is right for them. We influence national policy, are a respected voice in the media and contribute to ground-breaking research on RSE. It’s been a successful few years for PCR’s Events team with good results across the portfolio, raising over £1.4m (against a target of £800k) in 2023-24 and more than £2.3m in 2024-25 (against a target of £1.7m). The team structure has recently been refreshed, bringing in new roles to ease capacity and ensure the whole team can do their best work – contributing to PCR’s lifesaving mission, developing in their careers and enjoying their jobs within our ambitious and supportive team. 

This role is a new position within the structure, created to focus on our growing third-party events portfolio, an area which is performing well across the sector and deserves more attention. It is an important role which will oversee the innovation, planning and delivery of all third-party events, whilst taking a leading role on wider infrastructure development for the team.

You will work with colleagues across the organisation to seize opportunities, whilst ensuring best practice in our fundraising activity and the delivery of brilliant stewardship during supporters’ participation in third-party events & beyond.

The position reports to the Head of Events & Community and will supervise the work of two Events & Community Executives on relevant projects. Collaboration will be important, including with the other Events team managers who each lead the innovation, planning & delivery of (a) virtual challenge events, and (b) PCR-owned bespoke events. 

We are keen to work together to develop & shape this into an exciting and meaningful role for you. At PCR, we prioritise our team members’ development, and there will be a % of time available to work on other areas of the portfolio for development and interest. However, your main focus will be: 

Strategy, project management and income growth 

• Create and lead the strategy to maximise the value of PCR’s third-party challenge events portfolio, working with the Head of E&C and others to take a long-term view and build this area into a sustainable & growing income stream. 

• Oversee the project management of all third-party events, including the London & Brighton Marathons (and other new events as they are introduced), working with the E&C Executives to ensure targets are met and best practice delivered. 

• Design and deliver ambitious fundraising budgets for your projects which contribute net income towards PCR’s mission. 

• Build good relationships with suppliers, venues, agencies and consultants to ensure great value. 

• Oversee the stewardship of fundraisers, ensuring journeys are relevant & engaging and continuously improved.

• Work with the other Events team managers to contribute to the planning & delivery of other activity areas. 

Product development and innovation 

• Seize the opportunity to grow & improve PCR’s third-party event portfolio, staying up to date with sector trends, identifying new journeys, suppliers & products, and taking a test & learn approach, always ensuring that learnings are captured. For this, there will be realistic budgets & an understanding of the investment needed for new ideas. 

• Develop approaches to engage supporters beyond their initial participation, working with Public Fundraising colleagues & others to test cross-selling journeys and maximise the life-time value of third-party event fundraisers. 

• Maintain a strong level of understanding of PCR’s existing (and target) supporters to create and implement products & stewardship that motivate and inspire them. 

• Alongside the Head of E&C and other Events team managers, embed a culture of innovation and supporter insight. 

• Proactively collaborate internally, working with other teams to identify opportunities which meet PCR’s objectives, including with the Partnerships team to ensure the development & delivery of an employee fundraising programme. 

• Take the lead in developing processes and infrastructure across the Events team that improve efficiency, compliance and best practice, working with other team members to prioritise and deliver this work. 

Team leadership  

• Alongside the other Events team managers, supervise the relevant day-to-day work of the Events & Community Executives to ensure that the projects you are working on together are carried out effectively. 

• Work closely with the Head of E&C and the other Events team managers on team strategy and capacity planning. 

• Work with the team to embed our agile ways of working, modelling the principle of collective responsibility. 

• Attend and contribute to meetings, sharing new ideas and learnings that might be useful for the wider team. 

• Work with the Head of E&C and other Events team managers to embed and model PCR’s organisational values: innovation, collaboration, accountability and championing the patient voice. 

The Events & Community Manager may also get involved with other projects and tasks as appropriate to support Public Fundraising activities. Attendance may be required at some weekend and evening events, for which TOIL will be given.

Skills and Competencies

We are looking for a Planning Manager to ensure the execution of CRUK's mass audience strategy through MFE plans, empowering teams to achieve our goals efficiently and effectively. This is a brand-new position and will be crucial for driving change across the business.

You will help drive a step-change to make MFE become a truly audience-centric directorate, especially in the way we translate strategy into plans. You will help design and embed a new approach to planning in MFE, centrally setting clear priorities and improving how agree and align resource to achieve our shared goals.

What will I be doing?

• Support the design, build and implementation of an integrated and well-sequenced planning process to successfully drive forward delivery of the mass audience strategy, including putting a much greater focus on audience needs in the way we plan our work

• Support the running of this planning process, working with stakeholders across MFE and key partners in other directorates to align priorities, activity and KPIs.

• Support the design, build and implementation of MFE quarterly business performance reviews to drive alignment with the audience strategy and ensure prioritisation and investment decisions deliver on overall strategic goals

• Contribute to the development of a '3-year plan' for MFE, translating the mass audience strategy into a high-level plan of priorities and activity

• Act as a key interface for MFE with other directorates, ensuring support functions receive a joined-up view of needs, requirements and priorities across MFE, aligned to the mass audience strategy (including deputising for the MFE Planning & Change Lead on forums relating to CRUK-wide planning)

• Support improvements to how CRUK-wide planning is done, including how we align people and budgets to achieve our shared goals, especially in areas of org-wide shared resource (e.g. Creative)

• Support the design, build and implementation of a new fit-for-purpose governance structure for MFE, and support the MFE Planning & Change Lead in running this new governance

• Champion process optimisation initiatives across MFE to deliver efficiencies and improve employee experience

• Work with colleagues in Fundraising Finance to ensure financial and operational planning are integrated and aligned, and to collaborate at key points in the business cycle (e.g. target-setting, budgeting etc)

• Contribute to writing impactful papers and presentations for a variety of stakeholder groups, including MFE SLT

Main Duties

• Manage a team of 2-3 Finance Business Partners (FBP) supporting Programme teams with the grant portfolio, keeping budgets under continuous review, and providing regular financial information and analysis.
• Contribute proactively with the Programme Finance Lead and the core Finance team in improving programme finance systems and procedures.
• Working with Programme Heads and the FBPs, provide commentary and insight into the Programmes financial position on a monthly basis, flagging material risks and identifying mitigating actions.
• Review the financial assessment of new grant proposals and grant agreements. Ensure that they are in line with ClientEarth strategy and financial guidelines for cost recovery and overheads. Escalate grants or contracts that do not comply to the Head of Finance, Planning and Analysis for sign off.
• Review monthly salary allocation and cost recovery journals prepared by FBPs and ensure that data checks are in place including accuracy of fund balances
• Ensure that the financial aspects, reporting and audit requirements of grant/donor funded projects are aligned with donors’ contractual requirements.

The Role

The Community Centre Manager will play a key role in the leadership and smooth running of The Edward Woods centre, managing change, growth and performance as agreed with the CEO. Working closely with the UPG Management team, employees, partners, contractors, volunteers and other local organisations, the Manager will work to ensure the

Community Centre is a vibrant, well-managed facility that operates within a sustainable framework for the benefit of residents and organisations. They will also promote the profile, role and impact of the Centre.

Duties and Responsibilities

Management of the Community Centre

• Manage the operations of the Community Centre, its staff and the development and delivery of activities and facilities in line with the business and strategic plan.

• Ensure compliance with employment law and that we follow good practice regarding HR.

• Contribute to the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the business and strategic plan and present regular progress updates to the UPG Management team.

• Oversee the maintenance of the building - including building maintenance and improvement

programmes.

• Manage and monitor all aspects of risk assessments, health and safety and security as required by regulation or good practice including, in conjunction, the review and updating of

policies and procedures.

Management of staff and Volunteers

• Create a positive working environment in which equality and diversity are well managed, dignity at work is upheld and staff and volunteers can achieve their best.

• Ensure effective management of HR including recruitment, supervision and development of

employees, contractors, and volunteers, including carrying out DBS checks as

necessary.

• Oversee the Community Centre’s complaints procedure, and the proper handling, investigation and resolution of any complaints against the Centre, its staff and volunteers.

Working with Others

• Continue developing and maintaining relationships with various local partners to ensure activities at the Community Centre fit with others provided in the area.

• Positively represent the Centre and the community at partner and other meetings/events to raise the profile of the Community Centre and to ensure the views and needs of the community are prioritised and included.

• Prepare reports for funders, PRM and annual general meetings.

PR/Marketing and Fundraising

• Oversee the development and implementation of an income generation & marketing strategy.

• Develop strategies to promote the use and profile of the Community Centre, maximising use of social media, publicity opportunities and liaison with the local media.

Financial management

• Liaise with the CEO and Finance officer in setting and managing budgets and maintain an overview of the financial position of the Community Centre.

• Code invoices to ensure that income and expenditure is allocated to correct projects.

• Ensure best practice in all financial matters.

Project Management

• Support and oversee the continued delivery of high-quality services and activities.

• Devise and implement robust impact monitoring and evaluation strategies for all projects.

• Ensure all projects are correctly risk assessed and supported.

Edward Woods Community Centre has a small team of employees, tenants, volunteers and a

wide range of activities. it is expected that the post holder will be flexible in assisting in areas of work which go beyond their main duties. In particular, the holder of this post will be expected to assist with covering frontline reception and administrative duties and attendance at and/or supervision of events outside of normal working hours.

Our operations team is led by the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and includes the finance and bookings & venue teams. This is a newly created role that will report directly to the COO and work closely with the wider operations team.

Scope of role

The role supports the delivery of our IT, facilities, health and safety across operations. They act as the first point of contact with outsourced providers and co-ordinate any work related to these areas.
The role is in place to support the project management and delivery of a set of work programs and there is a level of autonomy to make decisions on a project / work area basis within an agreed framework to deliver.
The role will hold the IT budget, and support COO with facilities budget; thus it is expected that there is a good understanding of the budgets to understand constraints and opportunities. The role can make spending decisions up to £2,000.
This role is designed to allocate approximately 60% of the focus on core IT functions and 40% on facilities and operational oversight including procurement.
They will be expecting to advise COO and wider SMT on IT and Operations related plans for the year.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Information Technology & Systems

• Be responsible with the support of the COO and wider SMT with all IT related strategy including procurement and streamline of new IT service provider/s. Including setting up KPIs’ and using these to assess performance.
• Manage the setup of new staff – including the procurement of equipment required for the role – this includes all communication tools.
• Managing the relationship and being the key point of contact with the technology suppliers and technology support providers.
• Identifying cost savings/efficiencies in the tech stack.
• Supporting IT KIT refresh plans and purchase, this includes audit of needs and vendor negotiations and lifecycle planning with the COO.
• Leading on regular assessment of IT and systems needs for all services and administrative staff.
  Facilities, Health and Safety & General Administration
• Act as the main point of contact with our property management company. Work with the COO to escalate issues.
• Book in contractors and maintain all required documentation in conjunction with other key stake holders (property manager/agent).
• Be the escalation point for maintenance issues, liaising with the property management company to make sure that issues are dealt with in a satisfactory manner.
• Work with H&S consultants and property managers to ensure all relevant training is planned for and carried out and Risk assessments are being completed and used.
• Work with HR to ensure that all relevant training is planned for and carried out.
• Maintain records for all mandatory tests in conjunction with our property agents.
• Liaise with the Events and Venue Manager to ensure building management is always in place, keyholding, security etc.
• Ensure smooth operations of front of house – including reception and security rotas and arranging additional cover as needed for events.

Projects

• Manage ad hoc projects on behalf of the operations team; such as refurbishments, implementation of printer management.

General

• Building good working relationships across the organisation
• Representing Toynbee Hall to external audiences
• Developing an open and ‘critical friend’ dialogue within our programmatic work
• Undertaking any other appropriate responsibilities that may arise such as top up of franking machines, and general administrative orders as needed.
• Hold regular catch ups with team members, and ensure they are meeting their yearly appraisals.
