Labour Behind the Label is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Individual Giving Fundraiser to plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate an ambitious and effective individual giving programme for individual donations, cash appeals and regular giving. You will be responsible for the coordination of these areas of fundraising across multiple channels, as well as the administration and stewardship required to ensure engaging supporter journeys.

The successful candidate is likely to bring a strong understanding of how we can recruit and retain supporters as well the latest digital trends and demonstrate creative and technical skills to deliver a digital fundraising strategy. You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of boosting individual giving for small organisations, write compelling communications and have a particular flair for digital fundraising. You will collaborate with the team to optimise lifetime value from potential and current supporters. You will feel comfortable handling data sets and feel confident knowing how to make the most of data. You will be results driven and enjoy analysing your fundraising campaigns to ensure maximum success for the next.

Key areas                               

Fundraising

• Develop and implement LBL’s individual giving fundraising strategy (including one off, cash appeals and regular giving)
• Be responsible for driving up overall regular giving numbers

Communications

• Continue a regular giving strategy to generate growth in income and acquisition/retention numbers
• Continue to develop and implement a robust supporter journey
• Create social media assets for fundraising using Canva
• Social media use and update the website (including fundraising pages/posts and donation forms)

Database Management

• Manage the organisation’s database: Beacon
• Take a lead on ensuring data is properly processed, clean and useful for the team
• Manage data entry and updates on our CRM database to maintain up to date records on supporter contact information, attributes, relationships and donations

Other tasks

• Participate in team meetings

A unique opportunity has arisen to join SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, as the Community Engagement Manager for the South West region.

About the role

In this new and pivotal role, you will lead efforts to grow awareness, engagement, and income generation through a vibrant network of volunteer-led branches across  London and the South West region. As the primary point of contact and support for these branches, you'll play a vital role in empowering volunteers and fostering a sense of community and belonging throughout the region.

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South West region.

About the team

With the support of the Regional Manager – Casework and Community Engagement, this role plays a key part in establishing, coordinating, and leading a team of Community Engagement Volunteers across the South West Region of England.

The primary focus is to drive awareness, increase fundraising, and strengthen engagement in alignment with the strategic direction set by the Director of Welfare Operations.

You will work collaboratively with other regionally based Community Engagement Managers and strategic partners across the Fundraising, Marketing, and Communications directorate to help shape policies and guidance for branch activities,

The role involves regular meetings, both in-person and via Microsoft Teams, and you will benefit from a comprehensive support package including training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development.

About you

You will be an exceptional individual to lead this exciting initiative during a critical period of change. The ideal candidate will be a driven and highly motivated professional with a strong track record in fundraising, a solid understanding of fundraising regulations, and proven experience in leading and supporting volunteers in their efforts.

You will have excellent relationship management skills and a deep understanding of volunteer engagement and development. You will be a natural communicator with demonstrated success working with volunteers; experience in volunteer recruitment, induction, and best practice would be a strong advantage.

About the role

Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.

In this role, the Advisor will be instrumental in contributing towards the team’s annual income target and supporting additional planned growth in the coming years. 

Responsibilities

• Manage and cultivate relationships with a portfolio of key trust and foundation donors for Sightsavers (up to 7-figure funding agreements) via proposals, mailings, reports, telephone or face-to-face meetings as appropriate, and coordinate donor visits, dealing with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees.
• Develop key external and internal relationships and donor engagement activities for the achievement of planned objectives with these donors.
• Research, identify, prioritise, and develop personalised engagement plans and donor strategies to cultivate new trust prospects in targeted global markets. Lead on cultivating relationships with CEOs, Directors, and Trustees, with the aim of establishing additional high-value funding relationships.
• Work proactively across the organisation, including cross-culturally, to coordinate, develop, and deliver a high standard of compelling project proposals and reports ready for submission to donors whilst ensuring excellent grant/contract management to existing donor relationships.
• Actively participate in the networks surrounding trusts and foundations, sharing information, insights, opportunities, and fundraising materials produced.
• Represent Sightsavers and/or support staff delegations at conferences and networks to engage with and cultivate new donor relationships.
• Contribute to team, departmental, and wider organisational systems development and initiatives.

Role description

As our philanthropy coordinator, you will play a key role in building new partnerships with philanthropists and high-net-worth individuals, with an immediate focus on the UK, US, and Europe. You will design and implement a comprehensive strategy to build a robust portfolio of individual donors, Family Foundations, Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) and other personal giving vehicles. 

A proactive and thoughtful relationship builder, you will maintain long-term relationships and lead bold strategies to engage new audiences, including millennial and next-generation philanthropists. You will steward Open Briefing’s first global development board, working closely with our CEO and director of development to engage members around a dynamic programme of activities designed to make Open Briefing more fundable and findable. 

Together with our director of development, you will drive forward a multi-year fundraising strategy to resource our work with activists and organisations on the frontlines of human rights, social justice, and environmental action. 

Your primary responsibilities will include: 

• Designing and executing our philanthropy fundraising strategy. Lead a strategy to identify, cultivate, and solicit high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) —including through Donor Advised Funds, Family Offices, Family Foundations, and other giving vehicles—with an immediate focus on the US, UK and Europe. 

• Prospecting and donor acquisition. Manage HNWI prospecting, generate new leads, develop solicitation plans, brief senior leadership in advance of meetings, and coordinate cultivation and networking opportunities.

• Stewardship and relationship management. Build strong relationships with existing and potential donors through tailored stewardship plans designed to grow income over time. Manage donor tracking and communication systems. 

• Nurture and grow our development board - Work alongside our director of development and CEO to identify and engage members and steward the Board through a 12-month action-orientated development campaign. 

• Budget Management. Manage a programme budget for cultivation and stewardship events and activities.

• Collaboration and Communication. Work closely with our communications coordinator, director of development and programme teams in the production and dissemination of donor-relevant reports, updates and other content; and contribute to the conception and organisation of donor-facing online and in-person events.

• Team support. As a key member of our development and communications team, undertaken other duties as reasonably requested relevant to team and organisational goals. 

Person specification 

Essential 

• You will have extensive experience managing a HNWI or major gift portfolio. 

• You will have a proven track-record of personally securing four, five, or six-figure donations from HNWI and/or major gift donors in the UK, US and/or Europe. 

• You will have experience working within a nonprofit focused on human rights, social justice, and/or environmental action. 

• You will have excellent verbal communication skills, including English language skills, both spoken and written.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community.  Individuals with a social prescribing or working aged veteran support background are encouraged to apply.

Partnerships Executive (Interim)

The Partnerships Executive plays a key role in developing CST’s commercial relationships. Their primary responsibility is to secure conference exhibition sales to meet budget targets and manage all aspects of the exhibitor experience from prospecting to on-the-day support, to post-event communications. They also manage listings in the Directory of Services and work closely with the Partnerships Manager to support the prospecting process.

Reporting to: Partnerships Manager

Key responsibilities

1. Ensure that exhibition sales targets are met for each CST conference.

2. Maintain the CRM for commercial organisations, including creating and managing prospect groups and executing effective exhibition sales campaigns.

3. Create and maintain relevant webforms.

4. Provide excellent end-to-end support for exhibitors, including in person at larger conferences to ensure that all exhibitors’ needs are met on the day.

5. Gather feedback from exhibitors on the quality of their experience and report on what worked well and areas for improvement following each event.

6. Maintain and update marketing collateral to support CST’s commercial activities such as brochures, floorplans, briefings and manuals.

7. Cross-promote the Directory of Services to exhibitors along with other opportunities to work with CST where relevant.

8. Manage the sales and onboarding process for the Directory of Services, including overseeing the references, undertaken by a third party, sending out agreements and liaising with the marketing team on the promotion of new suppliers.

9. Support the Partnerships Manager in the development of the commercial pipeline for CST partnerships by holding initial meetings with new prospects and identifying opportunities for engagement.

We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across the West Midlands but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community.  Individuals with a social prescribing or working aged veteran support background are encouraged to apply.

This is a community-based position working from home covering the West Midlands, delivering both remote and face to face support, ideally you will be based in Staffordshire or Shropshire.  The candidate must have their own vehicle to use to travel around these regions.  Occasional travel to London will be required.  The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) is seeking a proactive and skilled Media Officer to join our Communications and Public Affairs team. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to help shape and strengthen NFCC’s voice in the national conversation around fire and rescue services.

Reporting into the Media and External Affairs Manager, you will play a central role in growing our media presence and positioning NFCC as the go-to source for journalists covering national fire and rescue issues.
