About the Role
We’re looking for an Individual Giving Officer to join our fundraising team and play a key role in growing our supporter base and income.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll have a varied and creative role, including:
- Leading the delivery of our Individual Giving income stream, including donor acquisition, retention and stewardship
- Building and managing strong relationships with supporters, ensuring excellent and personalised supporter care
- Developing and delivering engaging campaigns, appeals and communications across email, digital and direct channels
- Creating and improving supporter journeys to enhance engagement and long-term support
- Using CRM data (Donorfy/Beacon) to segment audiences, generate insights and inform activity
- Monitoring performance, reporting on income and identifying opportunities for growth
- Supporting the delivery of seasonal campaigns and fundraising appeals
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure consistent messaging and impactful storytelling
- Working with digital colleagues to maximise online engagement
- Ensuring communications are compliant, accurate and aligned with our values (including GDPR and Gift Aid)

Knowledge of the voluntary sector, digital tools (e.g. Canva, Hootsuite) or youth homelessness is helpful but not essential—we welcome transferable skills and a willingness to learn.

About the Role

As Research Development and Engagement Manager, you will lead engagement with researchers, our patient community, and external partners to develop and support new research collaborations. - Lead the SmellTaste contribution to a 12-month National Institute of Health Research-funded Programme Development Grant, led by Prof Carl Philpott at the University of East Anglia (the ICAST Programme: Improving Care for patients with Smell & Taste Disorders).

The Senior Supporter Engagement Manager will lead the strategic development of personalised, data‑driven supporter experiences that deepen engagement and maximise long‑term value. This role oversees the design and optimisation of multi‑channel supporter journeys, with a key focus on the creation and delivery of the email, SMS and What’s App communications, as well as our loyalty‑focused communications such as Cure Magazine, supporter newsletters and seasonal loyalty comm such as Christmas Cards. You’ll be a resident expert in marketing personalisation and data automation through martech tools.

· Work collaboratively with the digital analytics team to ensure a strong connection between web and paid digital activity to avoid siloes across the stages of a supporter's experience with ARUK.
Supporter Loyalty & Stewardship Communications
· Lead the creation of loyalty‑focused communications that build long‑term relationships and increase lifetime value and deliver on our supporter experience principles – including communications such as Cure Magazine and E-newsletter.
· Work collaborative with Senior Supporter Relations Manager to develop stewardship frameworks that recognise and thank supporters at key moments – including the coordination of an ARUK approach supporter Christmas and Seasonal greetings.
· Ensure collaboration within these organisational supporter loyalty communications is effective leading for RACI and levels of approval.
· Lead for your team adhering to GDPR-aligned audience management and safe data activation.
Leadership & Collaboration
· Manage and develop a multi‑disciplinary team across your key responsibilities, fostering a culture of audience led, testing, continuous improvement and joined up thinking, planning and delivery.
· Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across fundraising, digital, brand, data, insight, info services, policy and campaigning, and research teams to ensure alignment and shared priorities.
· Responsible for keeping up to date on latest thinking, tools and technology for delivering effective Supporter Experiences, working closely with our Salesforce Technical Product Owner. And represent the charity in conferences, networking and influencing within the sector.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Extensive experience in supporter or customer journey design, CRM‑driven marketing personalisation and data automation
· Strong understanding of email marketing and supporter journey platforms and infrastructure, automation tools, and CRM systems.
· Familiarity of audience targeting segmentation and data selections.

Ways of working:
As part of our Agile ways of working, you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Supporter Relations Executive
The Supporter Relations and Fundraising Operations team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is a key point of contact in the charity for supporters and members of the public and ensures the highest standards in operational processes and compliance, in order to ensure a first-class supporter experience.
The Supporter Relations Executive will be responsible for delivering supporter facing engagement activities ensuring delivery of an excellent experience for every contact, recognise opportunities to increase supporter loyalty, and generate the maximum amount of income for dementia research. This role primarily works within the Supporter Relations sub- team alongside other Executives. To ensure appropriate resourcing across the wider team and maintain SLAs, the role will also carry out donation processing and other operational tasks relating to supporter activities, where required.

Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Enquiry Management
· Provide exceptional supporter care, ensuring every supporter and member of the public enjoys an outstanding experience when engaging with the charity, in all communications: inbound telephone calls, emails, social media messages and enquiries by post.
· Respond to a wide range of enquiries including marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials, within a timely and professional manner.
· Receive and respond to feedback and complaints from members of the public and supporters, as the first point of contact in the team, escalating where required.
· Ensure the integrity of the CRM database, Salesforce, by amending supporter records accurately, including coding of and processing donations.
· Promote fundraising, engagement and retention opportunities when communicating with supporters, using a range of initiatives to explain the positive impact of their donations in contributing to the charity mission, ‘for a cure’.
· Ensure formal guidelines and best practice are adhered to in relation to Direct Debits, Gift Aid, FR codes of Fundraising Practice, Gambling Commission, and Data Protection Act.
Supporter Stewardship:
· Engage in outbound telephone calls and written communications to increase the value of, or to retain supporters; this will include thanking, stewardship activity, obtaining Gift Aid declarations and vulnerability checks.
· Support the Fundraising Relationship team to manage accounts specific to their regions, to ensure excellent supporter stewardship.
· Effectively and consistently seek opportunities to build networks among our fundraising community, ensuring these are directed to appropriate fundraising teams.
· Seek opportunities for repeat fundraising, by identifying opportunities and engaging with supporters as part of our re-engagement process.
· Manage the supporter follow‑up process to ensure funds are received promptly and accurately.
· Engage supporters in the best practice in ‘in aid of’ fundraising policies and deliver promotion of this opportunity.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Experience of working in a customer facing role.
