The Partnerships Manager will manage a portfolio of commercial and fundraising accounts totalling c.£250k, as well as some new business development. The portfolio includes a £60k per annum CRM relationship with Plum & Ashby, focused around the Wave of Light candle campaign for Baby Loss Awareness week, with lots of influencer and comms engagement. The new business element will support the Senior Partnerships Manager and the Head of Corporate in their new strategy for increased brand, strategic and coty partnerships.
Key responsibilities:
- Account manage and build strong relationships with corporate partners at a 5-figure+ level
- Create and deliver high quality account management and stewardship plans for your accounts

Essential criteria:

Role Requirements
The post holder will line manage the charity’s Shop Managers, supporting them to achieve agreed income targets. Working with colleagues, this role will also be responsible for proposing and then implementing new business initiatives, such as pop-up opportunities, niche offers and promoting online sales within the team as well as monitoring expenditure in line with budget expectations.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. We will be developing a number of research, policy and practice development projects in support of our new strategy. These include the 'extremely vulnerable people' project and a new partnership researching older people's experiences pre and post an urgent episode of care or emergency hospital admission.
This exciting opportunity will also take on responsibility for managing our response to the Pandemic Inquiry and relationship with the Health and Wellbeing Alliance. This is initially a 12-month role, with the possibility of extending to 24 months depending on project funding.

About this Role

This role will raise unrestricted income through the development of Amref UK’s Major Gifts programme - the Mbele Movement - by identifying and cultivating new high net worth supporters, and inspiring them to make unrestricted, multi-year major gifts, in line with the Philanthropy Strategy. Your role will be to further develop and deliver a range of events and initiatives that the Harlequins Foundation offers to its supporters to help us to raise the funds we need to deliver our programmes. Qualifications and Experience
- Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Exceptional events management and project management experience; managing a range of events and budgets in size, profile and scale
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills including budget and project management
- Experience of delivering fundraising events and activations that can engage supporters
- Ability to build excellent relationships especially with supporters, partners, ambassadors and suppliers
- Strong team player and project leadership, ensuring clear and regular communication with the team and stakeholders as appropriate
- Competent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience of CRM systems and project management tools
- Experience of working within the sports charity/sports sector
- Experience of working with high-net-worth individuals or celebrities would be an advantage

About the role
We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bid Manager who can actively craft commercial tender submissions and work with the team to ensure we submit high-quality, winning bids within UK government procurement rules.
