The Role

As Head of High Value Partnerships, you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive high-value fundraising strategy to achieve ambitious income targets
• Lead a proactive acquisition approach to build a robust pipeline of six- and seven-figure prospects
• Identify and cultivate new opportunities across corporates, major donors, and trusts
• Collaborate across the organisation to create compelling fundraising propositions and assess impact
• Manage your own portfolio of high-value donors while supporting your team to do the same

About the role

This is a hugely exciting time to be joining Galop, with flexibility to think long term about how best to drive change and do something new and different. Whilst Galop has always advocated for policy change, this role is part of a new, growing team specifically focused on evidence-based policy change. The team is led by the Director of Policy and Evidence and composed of a Research Manager, Survivor Engagement Manager, Research Officer and this Policy Officer role.

We are building an effective Policy and Evidence team, rooted in frontline insights, a formal research programme, and opportunities to make change happen for LGBT people at a pivotal time. As the Policy Officer, you will report to the Director of Policy and Evidence and work alongside the team to deliver Galop’s policy priorities, with support. You will also work closely with the Communications and Fundraising team and our Services.

You will be expected to:

• Undertake desk-based research, alongside using Galop’s own research, to support evidence-based policy analyses and positions.
• Draft policy briefings, research summaries, consultation responses, letters, reports, newsletters and stakeholder communications
• Research and track policy developments, political landscape changes, and other relevant areas to identify opportunities to further Galop’s objectives.
• Monitor and report on parliamentary activities, government announcements, and consultations relevant to LGBT victims/survivors.

The key duties of the Senior Finance Business Partner are as follows:

• Owning relationships with key senior stakeholders within the Communications and Fundraising Directorate.

• Own directorate specific timelines for delivering financial forecasts and budgets.

The successful candidate will have:

• Completed a professional accounting qualification or be part-qualified with relevant professional experience.

• Ability to analyse large quantities of data with a view to identifying trends and key drivers.
• Adaptability to build effective working relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues and work in a collaborative way.

About the Role

They are seeking an organised, diligent Service Charge professional to support on the technical side of the Service Charge lifecycle and improve processes within the department. You will work closely with budget holders, enabling data-led decision-making and supporting donor and committee reporting. As a key member of a small, collaborative team, you will be hands-on managing a mix of transactional and more advanced duties, proactive in ensuring the key points in the yearly Service Charge cycle run smoothly.

Role Responsibilities:

• Undertake assigned processing, accounting, monitoring, control and review of service charge income and costs on a periodic basis.
• Review service charge income and costs monthly to ensure they have been charged to the correct scheme and fully investigate and resolve any principal variances and anomalies identified (e.g., miscoding’s, duplications).
• Prepare periodic reconciliations of service charge income and costs on a scheme/block level and with the preparation of annual service charge estimates and actuals processes for all tenures.
• Resolve service charge queries from internal and external customers.

• Ensure consistent apportionment and allocation of scheme costs in mixed tenure blocks and other complex schemes and regular monitoring, control and analysis of such costs.

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee the strategic delivery of Care4Calais’ operational (direct aid provision) work across all regions. This is quite a newly created role that will play a central part in shaping the charity’s growth, resilience, and day-to-day effectiveness—ensuring our humanitarian aid reaches those who need it most.

The COO will work closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Trustees, to develop internal systems, guide operational teams, maintain consistency across all projects, and strengthen our digital communications, training, safeguarding, and volunteer engagement. You will also play a key leadership role in fostering innovation, implementing policy, and coordinating multi-regional delivery across the UK and Northern France.

This is a remote-based role, but regular travel to operational sites in Calais and around the UK is essential to ensure quality, cohesion, and morale across our field teams and volunteer network.

Key Responsibilities

➣ Strategic & Operational Leadership

• Oversee the delivery of all operational activities across the UK and French field sites, ensuring they align with Care4Calais’ mission, values, and strategic goals.

• Lead and support UK Field Operations Managers and France Operations Coordinators in planning and executing aid distributions, support services, and community engagement.

• Monitor performance across regions, using data and feedback to drive improvements in impact, efficiency, safety, and volunteer satisfaction.

➣ Volunteer Coordination & Digital Community Oversight

• Supervise volunteer communication channels, including Facebook groups, WhatsApp chats, and other platforms, ensuring all messaging is consistent, safe, and in line with our organisational tone and values.

• Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of a diverse and inclusive volunteer base.

• Work daily with Field Operations Managers to provide hands-on guidance, motivation, problem-solving and support for regional leads and volunteer teams.

➣ Training, Safeguarding & Compliance

• Develop, maintain, and implement comprehensive training programmes for volunteers to ensure service quality, safety, and dignity for people seeking asylum.

• Ensure that safeguarding policies are understood by all team members, staff and volunteers alike, and rigorously implemented, acting as a point of escalation for issues that arise.

• Oversee incident reporting processes, risk assessments, and other compliance-related procedures to safeguard both volunteers and people seeking asylum.

➣ Organisational Development & Governance

• Contribute to strategic planning and policy development with the CEO, and SLT.

• Identify opportunities for innovation in service delivery, volunteer management, and infrastructure.

➣ Field Engagement & External Representation

• Conduct regular visits to UK and French operational sites, meeting with local teams, assessing needs, and providing in-person leadership and support.

• Represent Care4Calais in meetings with partner organisations and local authorities, and at public events.

Person Specification

Essential

• Demonstrable experience managing multi-site teams.

• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to delegate effectively and manage competing priorities.

• Deep understanding of issues affecting asylum seekers, displaced people, or those facing immigration challenges.

• Commitment to anti-racism, inclusivity, and the promotion of human rights.

• Ability and willingness to travel frequently to field operations across the UK and Calais.

Desirable

• Proven experience in a senior operational, COO, or equivalent leadership role within the charity, humanitarian or grassroots community sector.

Introduction

Reporting into the Head of Planning & Delivery, this role is the central link between our reactive and planned reactive teams and the rest of the organisation, in particular Country Comms, Policy & Advocacy, and Campaign & Mobilisation teams. It is responsible for making sure all our reactive and planned-reactive comms are managed and delivered across appropriate owned and earned channels.? Strategic Communications colleagues, Media and PR teams, Delivery Managers, key stakeholders across the organisation, and our Content & Creative teams will be your day to day partners.

This role needs to be collaborative, resilient and able to adapt quickly to new information and shifting priorities, understanding when decisions are needed and making sure the right people are involved. Comfortable working in a fast moving environment, collaborating with colleagues across the RSPB and acting as a conduit to keep all teams and stakeholders informed, this role needs to maintain a broad view of activities on all comms channels so that changes can quickly be updated and communicated to the wider group.

This role is required to support the work of the Campaign & Mobilisation team, by delivering reactive and planned reactive one-off emails and/or website updates. This means you will need to be comfortable switching between different ways of working (agile and waterfall) and be able to prioritise your own workload effectively. You will be taking briefs from Activity Owners and managing the delivery work, working closely with our Traffic Management and Content & Creative teams.

This role is expected to be a key part of our planning cycle, making sure our activities across channels are coordinated and aligned. In this way you will wear different hats throughout each day, making sure information is being transferred and decisions are being made at pace; a fundamental and important member of the comms community.

Role specific tasks include:

• Own and maintain a clear, live and accurate 12-week Communications Calendar, and ensure teams understand what is expected of them from both a delivery and an Activity Owner perspective. Making sure there is transparency across all teams, and that information is accessible to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with our Annual Marcomms Planning process, making sure that the 12-week Comms Calendar reflects the activities agreed in the MarComms Calendar, and that all changes/information is kept up to date.
• Responsible for chairing the ‘Lookahead’ meeting (a group which responds to work within a 12-week timescale) and maintaining the meeting Planner with all relevant information.
• Key stakeholder in the ‘Newsroom’ meeting, making sure that all activities reflect decisions made in the Lookahead meeting and identifying where changes need to be made to accommodate shifting daily priorities.
• Writing delivery briefs, keeping all Activity Owners updated about decisions and progress for reactive and planned-reactive comms, and making sure our Content & Creative teams have the information they need to deliver work.
• Make sure that all required activity requests are submitted for review through our Triage processes, and then take all agreed requirements to the Lookahead meeting for consideration/delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with our Campaigning & Mobilisation teams, taking briefs and working collaboratively to deliver requirements. Manage the lifecycle of the process to enable teams to meet deadlines. Make decisions as appropriate and escalate any issues to the Head of Planning & Delivery.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience and knowledge of marketing, communications and design
• Understanding and experience of writing Content briefs
• Proven experience of working with PR, Media, Creative and Digital Delivery teams, with a clear understanding of the different disciplines within each

The primary set of data you will be managing is the SHOAL 1,000 Fishes Database. This is a database of more than 2,000 fish species that will require constant updates on their conservation status from experts and partners.

You will be a key person in collaborating with potentially hundreds of partners across the world to ensure that our database of priority species adequately reflects the action on the ground for each species.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a highly organised administrator to support our Fundraising team.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Harris Federation’s impactful fundraising efforts through vital administrative assistance. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and other team members, you will help celebrate and acknowledge our donors by crafting thoughtful reports and heartfelt communications. Your contributions will ensure donors feel valued through timely updates, expressions of gratitude and meaningful engagement.

You will also establish and maintain an efficient system to manage our donation records, ensuring that every contribution is acknowledged and appreciated.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing administrative support to the Fundraising, Partnerships and Alumni department of the Harris Federation
• Supporting the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and colleagues with donor reporting, including managing invoices, preparing thank-you communications, providing timely updates and sending reports to funders
• Maintaining an accurate database and systems to manage donation records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
• Coordinating and tracking fundraising activities, deadlines and events to support the smooth operation of campaigns
• Assisting with scheduling meetings, managing calendars and organising internal and external communications
• Supporting the preparation of fundraising proposals, presentations and other documentation as required
