About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Sustrans as part of our Active Journeys South and East team covering projects across London and South East, where you will help shape healthier, happier communities through walking, wheeling, and cycling. 

As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and oversight of behaviour change and engagement projects, as well as leading and supporting the delivery team. You’ll be at the heart of creating positive change, ensuring projects are cost-efficient, timely, and impactful. 

You will be involved with exciting projects such as Wheels4Me London and Moveability (East Sussex) funded by the Motability Foundation. Exploring how cities can improve accessibility by involving disabled people in decision-making, with the goal of creating more inclusive and equitable transportation systems. 

This role will require travel and work at various locations across London and the Southeast area as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans. 

About you

You will bring a solid understanding of active travel and the barriers faced by communities experiencing inequalities, alongside knowledge or practical experience in behaviour change concepts and approaches. 

You will have demonstrable experience in: 

• Managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, particularly those with a strong emphasis on community engagement.
• Facilitating workshops and delivering presentations to diverse audiences, both in person and online.
• Communicating effectively across a range of formats and with varied audiences. 

You are a skilled problem solver with excellent organisational abilities, capable of managing and prioritising work across multiple projects to meet deadlines and targets.

About the role

Our dedicated team moderates our full-service accounts (all organic content and paid ads) as well as one-off campaigns and appeals for some of the most recognisable charities in the sector. 

This role is perfect for skilled comms experts who can provide excellent supporter care and is best suited as an additional source of income (the majority of our team are freelancers and consultants). You must be able to begin moderation at 9 am (or earlier), wrap up by 9 pm and adhere to our sub-three-hour response time. 

Our moderators must have a minimum of three years’ in-house, third-sector comms experience. 

As a Social Media Moderator, you would be responsible for:

• Becoming the voice of the cause you are representing, adhering to their brand guidelines and tone of voice at all times

• Identifying, escalating and signposting any safeguarding issues

• Managing your own time and work on own initiative

• Working across a range of social media management tools

• Responding/actioning to all comments and queries in under three hours

• Maximising donations when required 

• Going above and beyond at all times to provide supporters with an incredible experience

Our moderation takes place between 9 am and 9 pm, Monday-Sunday. 

Different accounts will require varying levels of ‘active’ hours (defined as time spent taking action). You will split your active hours between 9am and 9pm. For example, for an account which requires three active hours, you might carry out your work in six, thirty minute instalments throughout the shift.

As you gain experience, you will be allocated multiple accounts which will enable you to increase your hours worked. 

Whilst you need to be on hand to monitor your accounts during 9am-9pm, the role does allow for a great deal of personal flexibility.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' professional comms experience, working with a large charity with an active social media following. They will understand the importance of building positive engagement and relationships with the public and be committed to act in the best interests of our charity partners.

We are Olive Branch Aid (OBA), an award-winning Foodbank charity operating in south London, and we are looking for a dynamic and confident Foodbank Manager to work alongside our newly appointed Foodbank Coordinator as well as an energetic team of more than 60 volunteers.

OBA is different

OBA provides a hand-up rather than a hand-out. More than a Foodbank, OBA provides support for 3 months - much longer than most Foodbanks. We also provide an innovative well-being support service that helps service users address the underlying causes of their food needs. In 2024, OBA helped more than 75 households with complex underlying issues, this involved many weeks of telephone calls and meetings and helped prevent at least five families from becoming homeless. OBA also provides free preloved clothing and household goods to help service users get back on their feet.

Since 2023, OBA has its own fully funded premises off Portslade Road next to the Windrush overground station. Despite these successes, we continue to rely entirely on donations for our day to day expenses. As Foodbank Manager, you will help us secure the funding to grow our services and help even more people.

The Society

The Position

The IT Manager will work with our outsourced helpdesk provider to deliver maximum availability of the network, data and systems, to ensure we are secure and compliant and to provide support and training to our staff. The IT infrastructure includes an extensive wired and Wi-Fi network throughout the building with approaching 100 Wi-Fi access points. This network is critical for the smooth running of the Society’s day to day activities and the successful operation of events on the premises, which account for turnover in excess of £1m p.a.

The IT Manager will also be the internal technical/project lead on the ongoing development of the Society’s CRM system, Centrepoint’s oomi product.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a permanent, full-time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £45,000-£55,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manager of Philanthropic Fundraising will serve as the cornerstone of administrative support for ULI’s philanthropic fundraising initiatives in Europe. The role will report to the Vice President, Business Development & Membership on a day-to-day basis and work closely with the Chair of the ULI Charitable Trust and CEO ULI Europe. 

The role will have a functional reporting line to the Chief (Philanthropic) Fundraising Officer. This position requires excellent relationship management, organisational and communication skills. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide administrative and management support to the philanthropic fundraising initiatives of the ULI Charitable Trust (and the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee) and ULI Europe, including fundraising campaigns, processing collections (through ULI CT or ULI Europe) and preparing donor reports in cooperation with the ULI Finance team in the US.  
• Oversee and coordinate design and development of marketing collateral, presentations supporting fundraising campaigns, in collaboration with the ULI Europe Marketing and Communications team. 
• Collaborate closely with team members of the ULI Europe business Development and Membership team, in addition to ULI’s country directors and governance director to support the planning of, and coordinate the implementation of the European philanthropic fundraising strategy determined by ULI Europe (namely by the CT Board of Trustees / ULIF Europe Committee), focusing on both donations from individuals based in Europe and donations from European philanthropic foundations and government programmes;

• Work in close collaboration with Research & Advisory Services and ESG Programmes colleagues, to identify and research (third party) philanthropic funding and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of applications for philanthropic funding from (third party) foundations and government agencies; 
• Coordination of proposal writing for potential foundation funding, in close collaboration with the research, marketing communications and legal and compliance teams.
• Set up and implement application, reporting and compliance process for philanthropic gifts for ULI Europe. 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• At least 6-8 years’ experience working in a similar role. 
• Experience working in an international business environment. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The Role:

The General Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Society, managing staff, and working closely with the Board to execute the organisation’s strategic plan. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a combination of operational acumen, team leadership, member engagement, and fundraising expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the organisation’s operations, programs, and services.
• Provide guidance and support to the Board of Governors in strategy and governance.
• Supervise and develop a small team of employees.
• Develop and manage the annual budget; oversee financial reporting and compliance.
• Build strong relationships with members, patrons, donors, partners, and the wider community.
• Oversee fundraising activities, grant applications, and patron stewardship.

Edward Gibbons House is seeking an enthusiastic Senior Substance Misuse Worker to support our amazing residents.

Providence Row Housing Association has been helping homeless people in East London since 1860. We provide social housing along with excellent services that aim to support homeless people with complex needs and enable their recovery. We remain committed to our East London roots and currently serve the communities in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and the City of London.

Our Senior Substance Misuse Worker works alongside members of the support team to create a safe and welcoming environment within a psychologically informed environment. You will contribute to the development of the recovery hub, by providing expertise in alcohol and drug misuse. Taking a lead role in delivering training/ advising staff on substance misuse issues, liaison with substance misuse agencies, facilitating multidisciplinary case conferences and negotiating access to detox and treatment services. Carrying out assessments of drug and alcohol usage with key clients, delivering brief and extended interventions, outlining risks, advice on harm minimisation and refer to specialist agencies.

You will also conduct surveys of residents view and opinions, assist with audits and reporting on the service, help to ensure compliance with regulation and best practice, and work with a Support Team which promotes person centred coproduced approaches.

You need to have experience of working with homeless people with complex needs, have a good understanding of strengths, needs, and risks they experience. Be competent with computer systems, and comfortable completing regular performance reports. The Senior Substance Misuse Worker is a day shift based role with evening and weekend working.

As Senior IT Project Manager, you'll lead some of our most complex technology programmes. Overseeing delivery of major technology initiatives that directly enhance our ability to support people affected by dementia. You'll line manage a team of IT Project Managers and Project Support Officers. You'll bring out the best in your team while delivering complex, high-impact projects on time and within budget.

This is an important technical leadership role within our Technology Directorate. Working closely with our Project Management Office (PMO) to implement large-scale technology projects using PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies. You'll build relationships across the organisation. Managing cross-functional specialist teams and ensuring our technology infrastructure, systems and applications evolve to meet the needs of those we serve.

About you

You're an accomplished Senior IT Project Manager with proven expertise in delivering complex technology programmes. You'll have:

- Significant line management experience with responsibility for team development, performance management, and leading through organisational change.
- Proven track record in senior IT project management roles, delivering complex technology change programmes with lasting organisational impact.
- Extensive experience across technology infrastructure, data, digital, systems and/or applications project delivery, with in-depth expertise in at least one area.
- Advanced understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle management, including planning, risk management, resource allocation and financial controls.
- A formal project management qualification at Practitioner level (PRINCE2, MAPM, PMP, or APMG) alongside experience with both traditional and Agile project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication abilities, engaging technical and non-technical audiences with equal effectiveness alongside strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

What you’ll focus on: 

- Formal line management and development of a small team of IT Project Managers and Project Support Officers including coaching, mentoring and supporting their career progression.
- Leading selected technology programmes within our broader Technology Transformation initiative, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets and strategic organisation wide objectives.
- Managing cross-functional specialist teams and building effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainable technology solutions.
- Developing comprehensive project plans, maintaining proper governance structures, and producing regular progress reports for senior leadership and project boards.
- Identifying, documenting and managing risks and interdependencies across programmes, escalating resource conflicts and issues as appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with the PMO to ensure projects align with our methodology standards while supporting the organisation's broader strategic goals.
