About the Role 

The role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising (CEF) directorate and reports to its director. The team serves the needs of the organisation by engaging a range of key audiences through various media channels, volunteer engagement, events and fundraising. The post holder will work in close collaboration with others across the organisation and will enjoy working in an innovative and creative environment.

You will lead the Fundraising team, including Supporter Care, in developing and implementing team plans and strategies to ensure long-term growth and delivering targets.

Working with the Director of Communications, Engagement & Fundraising, the Senior Fundraising Manager will deliver the organisational Fundraising strategy. This will include leading on all USPG fundraising streams including fundraising appeals, regular giving, legacy fundraising, major donors, church engagement, diocesan appeals, trust and foundations, grants and partnerships and any new fundraising products.

You will line manage the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraising Stewardship Manager, supporting their professional development to help achieve annual fundraising targets and objectives.

About You  

You will be responsible for delivering fundraising appeals, products and campaigns, ensuring that supporters go on a meaningful and experiential journey with USPG and become lifelong supporters. You are, therefore, a confident, passionate, organised and creative senior manager with the proven ability to motivate and inspire your team and USPG supporters.

You will bring energy and passion to this role and have the responsibility for delivering on time fundraising activity across the organisation. Your experience will bring our vital work to life in inspiring ways that increase engagement and individual giving, while ensuring that retention and acquisition strategies are in place, regularly reviewed, and continuously strengthened to grow the USPG supporter base. You will bring a freshness of ideas, whilst maintaining operational efficiency, quarterly reporting and inspirational leadership.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, driven and creative Marketing and Events Manager who brings a genuine passion for fundraising and events — and the skills to match. This is not primarily a desk-based marketing role: you will be the engine behind our events programme and a key driver of our fundraising income.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the planning and delivery of CWC’s events calendar, manage our fundraising activities, and oversee the work of the Marketing and Events Officer. You will be equally comfortable developing the strategy and getting stuck into the detail of execution.

Events will be at the heart of what you do. You will take ownership of our flagship event, coordinate a varied programme of fundraising events, sector conferences and networking activities, and ensure every event is professionally delivered and leaves supporters feeling connected to our mission. You will manage relationships with venues, suppliers and sponsors, and keep a close eye on budgets and income targets.

Fundraising will be a core focus. You will be responsible for achieving financial targets from individual and corporate fundraising, developing creative campaigns across platforms such as Enthuse and JustGiving, and building the kind of relationships with supporters and partners that turn one-off donations into long-term engagement.

Alongside this, you will lead and support the Marketing and Events Officer, ensuring our marketing output — social media, newsletters, website content and campaigns — is consistent, engaging and aligned with our strategic goals.

About You

You will have a proven track record in events management and fundraising, ideally within the charity sector. You know what it takes to plan and deliver events from first concept through to post-event evaluation, and you understand how events can drive income as well as awareness.

You will be a confident, organised and proactive person who can manage competing priorities without losing sight of quality or deadlines. You will be comfortable working independently, managing your own workload and supporting others to manage theirs.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• A proven track record in events management, with demonstrable experience of delivering fundraising income from events
• At least two years’ experience in a charity fundraising or events role
• Experience of line managing or supervising others
• Excellent relationship-building skills with sponsors, corporate partners and individual supporters
• Confidence using fundraising platforms (e.g. Enthuse, JustGiving) and CRM/database systems (Hubspot experience an advantage)
• Strong working knowledge of social media platforms, email marketing tools and website content management
• Experience managing budgets, monitoring income and expenditure, and reporting on financial performance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong project management skills
• Genuine enthusiasm for the charity’s mission and the people we support

Knowledge of the health and social care sector would be a distinct advantage, though not essential.

A strong instinct for understanding what motivates people to give, and the ability to turn that insight into campaigns and experiences that feel personal, compelling and effective. Comfort with ownership, and the confidence to create momentum and build something from the ground up.

Description 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Fundraising to lead and further develop our fundraising activity at a pivotal time for the Cathedral. This is a strategic and hands on role, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Management Team to secure the resources needed to sustain and grow the Cathedral’s mission, ministry and buildings. 

You will take the lead on generating fundraising income, primarily through trusts and foundations, while also developing appeals, legacy giving, regular giving and new fundraising income streams. You will build on the strong foundations already in place, bringing creativity, rigour and collaboration to everything you do. 

The role 

As Head of Fundraising, you will: 

• Lead relationships with trusts and foundations, identifying opportunities, writing compelling applications and managing reporting and compliance 

• Drive major fundraising bids to support the Cathedral’s Estates Masterplan and strategic priorities 

• Develop and deliver fundraising appeals and pilot new initiatives to diversify income 

• Grow legacy and regular giving, building a sustainable pipeline of long-term supporters 

• Lead supporter care, engagement and fundraising events

Key Responsibilities

1. Income Generation

· Maximise fundraising and revenue opportunities through community engagement delivering a number of community based initiatives to generate income over the year.

· Lead on delivery of the fundraising strategy to maximise funding opportunities.

• Work with the Volunteer Officer to create a cohesive team of fundraising volunteers who will support events and activities to generate income.
• Help to support and train  volunteers / peer mentors in gaining experience and skills so they are confident to deliver fundraising activities without staff support.
• To manage and maintain effective records of activities and income generated so this can be evaluated.
• To record and manage donations of goods and services as well as gift vouchers so we have accurate records of usage
• Lead on standard merchandise production and of items such as pens and other logo items as well as the hidden phone number items.
• Be the primary point of contact for all promotional or networking  opportunities and working with the Head of Enabling Services and the CEO to maintain those relationships.

About the role
Fundraising plays an important role in the sustainability of The Brilliant Club, and this is only set to grow in our next strategy. The new Fundraising Officer will be responsible for building relationships and creating excellent experiences for a portfolio of supporters and prospective supporters, to help us raise over £1.4 million each year.

Supporters will be mainly Trusts & Foundations, but also some corporates and individuals. The role will include meeting with prospects, writing compelling applications for funding, stewarding and renewing existing partnerships and writing engaging funding reports.

The successful candidate will have experience working as part of a fundraising team, or have transferable skills from a similar external-facing role. They will have a proven ability to confidently build relationships with external stakeholders and have excellent written communication skills. Attention to detail, strong organisational skills and experience using a CRM system are also key for this role.

While this role can be based at either our Leeds or London office, we expect some travel will be required (mainly to London) for events and to attend in-person meetings with colleagues and funders. The role will report into the Head of Fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

· Take full ownership of the primary CRM database, ensuring it is used effectively and consistently across the organisation
 

· Lead on supporter data management, ensuring information is accurate, up to date and handled correctly by all departments
 

· Ensure the primary CRM holds all relevant supporter data from every source and database
 

· Champion supporter care at Treetops, setting standards that ensure supporters receive timely, meaningful and personalised communication
 

· Lead on supporter journeys, including thanking processes, ensuring they are well‑designed, functioning and regularly reviewed

Role description:

We are excited to be seeking a talented and motivated individual to join Southampton Hospitals Charity as a Community & Events Fundraising Officer, to help develop and grow this key area by engaging supporters, building strong relationships within the community, and maximising income through creative and impactful fundraising activities.

This opportunity comes at an exciting time within the Charity as we look to grow our team and reach. The post holder will require a good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire patients, visitors, hospital staff and the local community to choose Southampton Hospitals Charity as their preferred charity.

We are looking for an individual who is as passionate about fundraising as the work we do as a Charity to join our team. This role will be key, as we look to embed our ambitious new strategy to grow our income, reach and impact.

Key tasks and responsibilities

Community & Events

• Working with the Fundraising Manager to develop and implement strategies to support the growth from community fundraising activities.
• Acting as a key point of contact for community fundraisers, providing guidance, resources, and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Develop an annual calendar of participation events, including leading on the creation and delivery of marketing activity for these initiatives to maximise promotion, engagement and income.
• To work closely with the Hospital Engagement team within the Charity Hub to help ensure good cross stewardship, maximise hospital staff participating in events and being on-hand to meet with potential donors.
• Planning, organising and delivering fundraising events, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet income targets.
• Support with the recruiting, training and managing event volunteers to ensure successful delivery of events and show them a high standard of care and support to retain them.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with supporters, ensuring excellent stewardship and engagement.
• Identify and develop opportunities to grow the Charity’s supporter base (including working collaboratively with other teams to integrate community and event fundraising with other areas of the organisation).
• Representing the Chairty at external functions, events, giving talks and presentations as required.
• Work closely with the marketing team on the planning and delivery of marketing activity for all fundraising events and initiatives, taking responsibility for generating content, scheduling activity and driving audience engagement.
• Build a robust fundraising pipeline across community and events, monitoring and evaluating the success of fundraising activities, producing regular reports and data analysis.
• Setting and manage income and expenditure for all fundraising initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Keeping accurate records of donor interactions, income, and expenditure on the charity’s database (Beacon).
• Performing other duties as reasonably required within the role.
• To liaise and manage relationships with external suppliers such as 3rd party event organisers, event companies and venues.

Knowledge and experience

• Experience of increasing income through successful community events, corporate or volunteer fundraising programmes or equivalent transferable experience from another sector.
• A proven track record of delivering an excellent customer/supporter stewardship experience.
• Experience of managing multiple projects and budgets.
• Demonstrable experience using data insight and analysis to inform decision making.
•  Excellent IT skills including using Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point as well as experience of administering and maintaining dedicated supporter databases.
• Knowledge of a Fundraising Database and knowledge of fundraising regulations.

To help achieve this, we are seeking to recruit an Individual Giving Officer (internally titled Direct Marketing Officer – Individual Giving) to join the Direct Marketing Team. In this exciting new role, you will support the delivery of our Individual Giving programme to help recruit and steward supporters through regular giving, lottery, payroll and cash giving programmes.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join SHP’s fundraising team and play a key role in how we connect with and grow our community of supporters. As Supporter Engagement Officer, you will help build meaningful, long-term relationships with people who are passionate about ending homelessness in London, using digital fundraising and challenge events to bring that connection to life. From someone making their first donation to those who continue to give and champion our work, you will shape supporter journeys that feel personal, engaging and impactful.

You’ll take ownership of delivering creative, insight-led campaigns across the year, with a particular focus on challenge events and our annual Christmas appeal. Alongside this, you’ll use digital tools and data to understand what resonates with supporters, continuously improving how we communicate, grow income and strengthen loyalty. The role also offers the chance to get involved in wider projects, from developing new audiences to helping gather authentic content that reflects the real impact of our services, giving supporters a genuine connection to the change they are part of.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and ambitious team that isn’t afraid to do things differently. Our hybrid working model means the role is currently 2 days per week at our Head Office in Kings Cross with the remaining 3 days from home. Specific days agreement will be discussed with the line manager.

• Experience delivering supporter engagement or fundraising activity, ideally across digital channels and challenge events, with a focus on building lasting relationships
• Confident using, or keen to learn, digital fundraising tools such as FundraiseUp, Mailchimp, JustGiving, Let’s Do This, Shopify or WordPress
• Able to use insight and data to shape campaigns, improve supporter journeys and increase engagement, income and retention
