We have an exciting opportunity for a Content Manager to join our team in this newly created role.

Location – This is a hybrid role with one day a week in our London office (usually a Monday) and the rest from home. There will also be occasional travel to other programme sites (currently Stoke-On-Trent, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Scotland).

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:

• Qualification in a relevant subject such as journalism, communications, English or a related discipline or demonstratable experience in a communications role, including copywriting and content creation.
• Experience developing content in partnership with people with lived experience, ideally within a third sector or community context.
• Significant experience producing high-quality, clear, compelling, and audience appropriate content for a range of platforms.
• Strong eye for a compelling story to help demonstrate our impact and inspire collaboration from our partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with different groups of people.

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Developing and delivering high-quality content that aligns with organisational strategy, brand guidelines, and communications objectives.
• Supporting the delivery of a national content strategy in collaboration with the Head of Communications, local Communications Coordinators and the Fundraising team.
• Identifying, creating, and delivering compelling content across multiple channels, from case studies, blogs and newsletters to infographics, video, film, and promotional materials.
• Maintaining and strengthening relationships with key national and local stakeholders in line with our communications strategy and goals.
• Supporting Thrive at Five’s positioning with funders, policymakers, partners and the wider early years sector, including government, policy, media and influencing activities.

One in 20 adults in the UK has never learnt to read at all. This can have a serious impact on their confidence and wellbeing, limiting access to training, employment, and everyday opportunities that many take for granted. Being unable to read as an adult can be isolating and dangerous, reinforces social inequality, restricts economic growth, and worsens intergenerational disadvantage - but it is never too late to learn.

Read Easy helps adults transform their lives by learning to read. It does this by supporting its growing network of locally run, volunteer-led affiliated groups that offer free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching—both in person and online to adults - aged from 18-88. 

With its free, flexible, confidential approach, Read Easy encourages people who are too embarrassed to join a class to come forward for one-to-one support. Each new reader is provided with their own personal Reading Coach, so that they can learn in private and at their own pace. Learning to read transforms their lives in many other ways as well, including enabling them to support their children’s and grandchildren’s reading, and so transfers the benefits to the next generation.

There are currently 80 affiliated Read Easy groups across England, together involving more than a thousand volunteers. Read Easy UK is the registered charity and umbrella organisation which supports this network of affiliated volunteer groups and provides the structure, training and support to enable volunteers to establish groups in new areas.

As our Central Regional Adviser, your role would be to provide strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure that all volunteer groups consistently deliver high-quality services aligned with Read Easy UK’s strategy.

You will support local volunteer leaders to strengthen group performance, and foster collaboration across affiliated groups, so that that they deliver coaching to Readers with consistent quality, and a positive and worthwhile experience is had by all.

You will also find volunteers to ‘pioneer’ three new groups in the counties where there is no Read Easy presence in the East and West Midlands and East of England and provide them and our 29 existing groups and pioneers in the region, with high-quality support. Your quality support will ensure that they provide the same for their volunteers and new Readers. From meeting (mostly online) with Team Leaders to provide one to one support, and hosting online and annual in-person volunteer forums, to delivering presentations and occasional training for small groups of volunteers, this is a dynamic and rewarding role.

This is a home-based post requiring flexibility, some early evening working and occasional travel to visit groups. The role is available on either a full or part time basis (min 32 hours p/w, 85% of 37.5 hours p/w FTE).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Live within one of the following areas: West Midlands (Defined as the 7 metropolitan boroughs of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall, and Wolverhampton), Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire or Rutland;
• have been employed to work with volunteers for at least two years;
• have strong people management and interpersonal skills; excellent communication skills; and the confidence to run meetings and deliver presentations.

We’ve launched a bold new pilot in the West Midlands to tackle the urgent issue of late prostate cancer diagnosis in Black men and we need a dynamic Project Manager to lead the way. In this pivotal role, you’ll bring communities, healthcare partners and local insight together to dismantle barriers, build trust, and shape a model that could change outcomes across the UK.

What the job involves

As the Project Manager, you’ll lead an innovative pilot designed to tackle late diagnosis of prostate cancer in Black men. Day to day, you’ll shape and deliver a regional model that breaks down systemic barriers to early diagnosis - from coordinating the unification of efforts to address drivers of inequity in prostate cancer to establishing a new bridging fund to support cross-sector partnerships. You’ll work closely with community organisations, Primary Care Networks and NHS stakeholders, bringing people together to build trust and drive practical, measurable improvements.

What we want from you

You’ll be someone who cares deeply about health equity and is motivated by making real change happen for Black men in prostate cancer. We’re looking for someone who has experience designing or delivering community‑based health projects and feels confident working across sectors to build strong, equitable partnerships. You’ll bring strategic thinking, the ability to turn insight into action, and the communication skills to engage, influence and inspire. You’ll be comfortable managing timelines, budgets and reporting impact, and you’ll bring a strong understanding of public health, health equity or programme management. Most importantly, you’ll champion inclusion, cultural sensitivity and our values in everything you do.

As this role is supporting our work in the West Midlands, candidates must live within, or no more than 30 minutes from, one of the following NHS Health Trust areas: Herefordshire and Worcestershire, Black Country, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, Birmingham and Solihull, or Coventry and Warwickshire.

We’re now looking for an experienced leader to step into a senior interim role, providing stability, leadership and momentum across our engagement activity during a period of transition.

This role will lead all of our mass fundraising and engagement activity, including Individual Giving, Legacies, Community & Events Fundraising, and Supporter Care. It is a senior, influential role shaping how supporters experience Mencap, how we grow income sustainably, and how we build long-term relationships rooted in trust and shared values.

As part of the interim remit, the role will also provide operational oversight and support to our High Value Relationships team, working closely with the interim Executive Director of Fundraising and other colleagues to ensure continuity, strong performance management and clear oversight of income and KPIs during this period.

You’ll bring strategic vision and clarity, alongside strong operational judgement. You’ll know how to turn insight into action, how to use data intelligently (without losing the human touch), and how to lead teams through change with confidence and care. You’ll be comfortable holding performance, using financial and KPI information to support delivery and decision-making.

Just as importantly, you’ll recognise that our supporters aren’t just numbers or segments – they’re individuals who care deeply about our work and want to feel connected to the difference they’re helping to make.

We’re seeking an experienced and visionary Fundraising Database and Insights Lead.

This is a strategic, high-impact role for a data-driven expert who can unlock insights to maximise supporter engagement and drive income growth.

You will ensure the quality, accuracy and strategic use of data to define clear strategies that sharpen targeting, deepen donor relationships, and enhance campaign performance.

You will support the implementation of a brand-new CRM system, own responsibility for the management and overall health of our supporter data, generate fundraising output data and analyse the effectiveness of our fundraising efforts.

From AI-driven analytics to performance dashboards and predictive modelling – this is a hands-on role where your insights will directly fuel mission impact.

LGBT Foundation is an impactful, vibrant charity with a wide portfolio of well-established services and rapidly developing new initiatives aimed at meeting the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans people.  The Fundraising & Marketing Team at LGBT Foundation is a small yet collaborative group of professionals. They are dedicated to advancing the visibility and impact of the UK’s leading health and wellbeing charity. The team is responsible for implementing wide-ranging fundraising, communication, and marketing strategies. By leveraging various channels such as email marketing, the organisation’s website, video, social media, OOH advertising and traditional media, the team strives to support the national visibility, brand awareness, impact storytelling and income generation of the charity by attracting, engaging and stewarding a growing supporter base.   LGBT Foundation’s Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor will work with fundraising & marketing colleagues to deliver against strategic objectives and achieve in-year financial targets, significantly increasing income and support, specifically from corporates, individual giving (donations), legacies and fundraising events. In this role as a Partnerships & Philanthropy Advisor, corporate partnerships (attraction, engagement, and retention) will be a priority, ensuring members see the value in our offer.   

You will also work with the Director of Fundraising & Marketing to shape four individual giving campaigns a year and two legacy awareness campaigns a year. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to keep fundraising information on webpages and social channels active, ensuring regular promotion of charity challenges and shaping digital mobilisation efforts which will build the charity’s supporter base, attracting more new donors.   

You will support regular reporting on performance towards financial targets, working closely with colleagues to reconcile income, ensure Salesforce records and reports are up-to-date and that integrations support automated data flows.

The Acquisition & Retention Manager will lead and manage the multichannel donor acquisition portfolio/program within the Individual Giving function at Birmingham Women’s and Children's Hospital Charity.The Charity has been growing its supporter base over recent years and has an ambition to create a step change in our approach and significantly grow our 'Individual Giving' donors and supporters. 

Principle Responsibilities  

The Acquisition & Retention Manager will be responsible for creating and delivering a multi-channel acquisition Retention strategy that fully supports the goals and objectives of the wider Charity strategy.The post holder will develop, manage and grow the existing acquisition program via a range of Digital and Face to Face campaigns utilising third party agencies for Private Site, Door to Door and, telemarketing activities, as well as management of our own onsite Face to Face acquisition team.

The postholder will have substantial experience of working within or managing a successful fundraising acquisition team, with excellent working knowledge of sector practises and channels to ensure best use of budget, ensure a competitive cost per acquisition (CPA), while increasing loyalty, engagement and lifetime value (LTV) among existing supporters.

About the role

As Events Manager, you’ll lead Birmingham Hospice’s events programme end-to-end, combining strategic planning with hands-on delivery. You’ll work closely with the Senior Fundraising Project Manager to shape an ambitious events programme that strengthens Birmingham Hospice’s brand while delivering real financial impact.

You will:

• Act as the events lead within the Income Generation team, sharing insight and supporting colleagues across the charity
• Lead the development and delivery of the annual events plan, creating a dynamic, costeffective programme that inspires supporters and drives income
• Line manage two Events Officers, providing regular 1:1s, development support and inspirational leadership
• Manage a varied portfolio including mass participation, third-party challenges, adrenaline events and special events
• Deliver against agreed income and expenditure budgets, contributing to an overall events income target of around £250k, including a £50k headline event
• Track income and expenditure day-to-day, produce post-event evaluations, and use learning to continuously improve future activity
• Identify new growth opportunities, using market insight and sector trends to expand participation and reach new audiences
• Build strong internal relationships across clinical, retail and corporate teams to promote events and maximise engagement
• Ensure all events meet high standards of health & safety, compliance and supporter care
• Oversee volunteers, apprentices and placements, ensuring a positive and professional experience for everyone involved

About you

You’ll be a confident, motivated events professional with charity sector experience and a strong track record of delivering successful fundraising events. You’ll bring:

• Proven experience delivering fundraising events, ideally including mass participation and third-party challenges
• Experience working in the charity sector
• Experience of line managing one or two staff, with a supportive, confident leadership style
• Strong event delivery skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience managing budgets and contributing to income targets
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative approach
• A proactive mindset, keen to test new ideas and grow audiences

The role is Birmingham-based, primarily at Selly Park, with regular working from Erdington. The team typically spends at least two days per week onsite, alongside event delivery. The Policy and Campaigns Manager leads ADUK in championing reforms that pave the way for better access for all disabled people partnered with a highly trained assistance dog. Through dynamic campaigns and impactful initiatives, this role is pivotal to how ADUK amplifies the voices of those whose lives are transformed by these life changing dogs, ensuring that their rights are protected for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Executive Director (ED), continue to develop a compelling case for taking a standards-based approach to the training and welfare of assistance dogs.
• Gather, analyse and apply robust evidence to strengthen ADUK’s credibility, influence and voice on key policy and campaigning issues.
• Work with the ED to identify and progress opportunities for ADUK and its members to engage with policymakers, regulators and other decision-makers, and to support positive policy change.
• Develop and deliver written and in-person reports and briefings for different audiences, including politicians, policy officials, and other decision-makers.
• Collaborate with the ED and Head of Education and Allyship to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
• Lead, manage and convene the ADUK Advisory Panel, ensuring it operates effectively and informs ADUK’s policy and campaigning work.
•  Monitor legislation and policy developments relevant to assistance dogs and dog welfare and communicate these as appropriate to members.
• Support the ED with the delivery of ADUK’s policy function, including the preparation of policy statements, briefing papers, media responses, and submissions to consultations and inquiries.
• Provide informed policy advice to the ED on priority issues affecting ADUK and its members.
• Represent ADUK externally, articulating its policy positions at meetings, events and forums, where appropriate.
• Take responsibility for projects, with the support of the Executive Director where appropriate, including joint work with partner organisations.
• Organise meetings, policy roundtables, expert workshops, policy training and other events.
• Provide information and support to service providers on assistance dog policies to promote access rights for disabled people with assistance dogs.

Campaigns and Public Affairs Officer

We’re looking for a Campaigns and Public Affairs Officer to help turn insight, lived experience and evidence into powerful public campaigns that drive change for people affected by bowel cancer. You’ll play a hands-on role in delivering creative, inclusive campaigns that mobilise supporters, grow engagement and help people take meaningful action across the UK. Working closely with colleagues across policy, communications and fundraising, you’ll support the design and delivery of campaign actions, digital activity and events, while also contributing to our wider influencing work with decision-makers. This is a UK-wide role, with an initial focus on devolved nations, ideal for someone who’s passionate about campaigning, motivated by impact and excited to be part of a team pushing for earlier diagnosis and better care.

Our vision at Rafiki Thabo Foundation is that young people, including those living with disabilities, will be empowered through education to enable them to reach their full potential and initiate positive change in their communities. We do this by enabling access to education for disadvantaged children and young people for whom escaping the poverty cycle would be impossible without support.  

By the end of 2025 we had supported 910 children and young people through education on our scholarship programme and this year we are proud to support more than 400 scholars, 45 of whom live with a disability.
