We are looking for an interim Head of Legacies, In Memory and Supporter Care to play a vital role in strengthening the supporter experiences and relationships that help power our lifesaving work.​

This is a 12 month offering a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role where you’ll help shape and deliver our Legacy, In Memory and Supporter Care programmes. You’ll put insight, compassion and supporter needs at the heart of everything we do. You will lead a talented team to inspire people to give in meaningful ways, deepen their connection with our cause, and help us grow sustainable income that ensures we can be here for anyone who needs us.​

We're looking for someone who can drive our ambitious plans to grow our legacy income. ​Working collaboratively across teams and directorates, particularly Data, Finance and External Engagement, making sure our strategies are based on insight and are effective in communicating the need.​

With significant direct marketing experience, ideally across legacy and in memory fundraising, strong leadership capability and a passion for exceptional supporter care, you’ll bring the expertise and energy needed to help us reach new audiences and build long lasting supporter relationships.​

From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. 

We are a very ambitious organisation which has gone through transformational growth over the past five years. Alongside funding an existing programme of world-leading research, treatment and care, the Charity completed its largest capital appeal to date, successfully raising £70 million to build the Oak Cancer Centre at the hospital’s Sutton site, which opened in summer 2023. 

With one in two of us expected to develop some form of cancer, it is essential that we go even further in our fundraising efforts to support the essential work of The Royal Marsden. Therefore, we are delivering our most ambitious strategy yet, that will see us raising at least £215m over the 5-year period.

The Charity is committed its biggest fundraising appeal to date, for a new major development project in Chelsea. There is also an extensive portfolio of engaging projects outside of the capital appeals that help to support all aspects of the hospital’s work to improve the lives of cancer patients.

Job purpose

As Philanthropy Manager you will manage a portfolio of existing major donors and lead on building relationships with new potential supporters to secure 5 and 6 figure donations. We are recruiting for an Operations Manager to oversee the DRIVE project.

Drive is an innovative national project that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children, by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. The project combines case management of perpetrators with a co-ordinated multi-agency response.

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. They work to end domestic abuse and protect victims by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. Together they have developed the Drive Project to address a gap in work with high-harm, high-risk perpetrators of domestic abuse. They also work to advocate for systems and policy change- to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all perpetrators of domestic abuse.

About the role:

This role is based in Cumbria.

As a Perpetrator Service Operations Manager you will oversee 4 Case Managers and 2 IDVA's. You will:

• ensure that all support and advice given is in line with Drive Partnership key messages and strategic objectives.
• contribute to the development of the Drive model through service reviews, supporting the Drive Partnership in delivery challenges and implementation of changes to the Drive operational model.
• act as a champion for Drive across the area in all aspects of development and delivery. You will be expected to represent the service at local and national events; deliver training and presentations as appropriate.
• support the Commissioner and Drive Central Team in identifying and securing resources and implementing future funding plans agreed for the service.
• be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse, and/or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

You will need:

• previous experience leading projects and developing new service provision.
• the ability to complete reliable and timely reports and meet deadlines.
• to be able to manage your own workload.

You will join a team managing Galop’s specialist advocacy services, providing support to LGBT victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK, with a specialist focus on hate crime and hate-motivated abuse. You will work within the advocacy management team to deliver advice, support, and advocacy to thousands of LGBT victims and survivors of interpersonal abuse and violence each year.

You will manage a team of specialist advocates and triage workers providing needs-led support, information and advocacy to LGBT survivors of a range of violence and abuse. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and other advocacy managers to ensure that survivors have access to needs-led, timely support that is right for them, maintaining high quality, consistent support across our advocacy and one-to-one support, whether that is in-person or remote. 

You will have an in depth understanding of the spectrum of violence and abuse that LGBT people are subjected to, including the causes, impact and barriers to accessing services. You will use your expertise to represent Galop with key stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the community. 

You will also have management and oversight of the CATCH Partnership, a pan-London consortium of by-and-for hate crime support services, that cover all protected strands of hate crime across race, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation and transgender status. You will need to have excellent partner management skills and be able to lead and support a diverse range of organisations with an understanding of their specific needs and challenges. 

You will be responsible for ensuring that data collected about the service is collected consistently and use this to report to funders. You will develop and maintain relationships with funders and ensuring that the service is effectively demonstrating the different that it makes. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and Director of Services to develop bids for new or continued funding for frontline services.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Through the leadership of the Customer Support Team, you deliver excellent frontline service to FareShare’s network of charities and retail partners. Provide timely, professional and effective resolution of complex and sensitive issues, while maintaining accurate reporting and case management standards, collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, exceeding customer satisfaction and supporting the delivery of the charity vision and ambition.

Stand-by-me Bereavement Support (SBM) is an award-winning charity based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. We support children and young people who have suffered bereavement through therapeutic group work, support for parents and carers and ‘Contact-me’, our school framework for supporting bereaved pupils. 

Role Overview 

The Bereavement Support Manager oversees the Contact-me programme. They introduce, train and help implement the programme within the school setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services for pupils affected by bereavement.

They partner with the Clinical Services Manager to deliver SBM’s therapeutic groupwork programme, supporting assessments and leading the Parents/Carer sessions that run alongside.

Key Responsibilities 

Contact-me 

• Oversee the Contact-me programme, ensuring it meets the needs of bereaved children, their families, school and healthcare professionals.

• Introduce, train and help implement the programme within the school setting, providing ongoing guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality support services. 

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to enable a holistic, ‘team around the family’ approach to bereavement support services.

• Continuously evaluate the programme’s impact, making recommendations and implementing improvements as appropriate. 

Groupwork 

• Partner with the Clinical Services Manager to deliver SBM’s therapeutic groupwork programme, organising programmes, supporting assessments and leading the Parents/Carer sessions that run alongside. 

• Collect quantitative and qualitative information to inform SBM and meet the requirements for reporting to funders.

The Gurkha Welfare Trust provides vital support to Gurkha veterans, their families and communities in Nepal. We have been working in Nepal for over 50 years, delivering essential financial and medical aid to Gurkha veterans and widows, and working with local communities to provide access to clean water and education. We also build earthquake-resilient homes for our most vulnerable pensioners.

This role’s primary responsibilities will be as follows:

 1. Develop and implement the Trust’s Individual Giving acquisition strategy across regular giving, one‑off donors, mid‑value supporters, and legacy pledgers, in collaboration with the Head of Fundraising & Communications.

2. Lead the planning and management of the annual acquisition budget, ensuring income and expenditure forecasts are accurate and regularly monitored.

3. Deliver integrated, supporter‑focused campaigns across direct mail, TV, door‑drop, inserts, press, telephone fundraising, and digital channels, ensuring activity meets agreed targets, deadlines, and quality standards.

4. Work with the Database Manager and external partners to ensure accurate data selection, segmentation, and fulfilment for all campaigns.

5. Monitor donor behaviour and key performance indicators, including attrition, response rates, and ROI, and develop strategies to enhance retention and reactivate lapsed supporters.

6. Collaborate with creative and fundraising agencies to test, refine, and optimise campaign content, propositions, and targeting.

7. Ensure the highest standard of donor care, working closely with the Individual Giving (Stewardship & Retention) Manager, Database Manager, and fulfilment providers to deliver a consistent and positive supporter experience.

8. Strengthen the regular‑giving acquisition proposition, identifying growth opportunities and mitigating donor attrition.

9. Maximise Gift Aid income by ensuring all acquisition activity includes appropriate prompts and compliance measures.

Support legacy marketing activity in partnership with the Legacy Administration team.

KEY SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Applicants for this position should be able to satisfy the following criteria:

Essential:

• Proven success in delivering Individual Giving or marketing campaigns that meet or exceed income targets.
• Strong project management skills and experience coordinating multi‑channel fundraising campaigns.
• Experience managing significant income and expenditure budgets.
• Ability to analyse campaign performance, interpret data, and produce clear, actionable reports.
• Strong creative judgement and ability to guide external agencies.
• Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues, partners, and suppliers.
• Good understanding of fundraising regulation, Gift Aid, and data‑protection requirements.
• Strong numeracy skills and confidence working with financial and supporter datasets.
• Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and competent IT skills.

We’re looking for an Individual Giving Manager (9-month maternity cover) to achieve BMS’ fundraising strategy and goals by stimulating new and repeat donations from individual givers and leading creative innovative fundraising campaigns. You will also lead a small team of two Individual Giving Officers (one full-time and one part-time).

The successful candidate will be a fundraiser with a track record of meeting ambitious fundraising targets. You will develop and deliver an individual giving strategy and employ a range of retention and acquisition techniques. You will manage and oversee BMS’ appeals, regular giving, major donor and community fundraising programmes.

You will quickly build excellent relationships within BMS and with supporters and have a strong commitment to outstanding supporter care. This is an important role, at a critical time in the life of the organisation, and we are looking for a strategic, professional and knowledgeable fundraiser to deliver on our strategy.

This role is a 9 month maternity contract starting early June 2026 to early March 2027. This role can be hybrid with flexibility but would need to attend the Didcot office in agreement with your line manager.
