What will I be doing?
Supporting the annual marketing planning process in setting overarching marketing objectives, key Performance Indicators, forecasts and budgets; translating these into an all-channel cross-portfolio marketing plan
Consulting with agencies and internal teams on paid marketing campaigns and activity to ensure optimal strategic alignment and fully integrated campaign planning across, audiences, channels and products
Working closely with the Commercial and Operations function to support the end-to-end marketing workflow including and managing key stakeholder and agency/supplier relationships
Working closely with the Marketing performance team and wider marketing teams to gather actionable insight and learnings from past campaigns
Analysing campaign results, evaluating performance against targets while spotting opportunities to optimise activity, innovate and increase efficiency
Taking a future-facing view of marketing trends and developments as well as competitor activity, the consumer landscape and data insight to ensure Cancer Research UK's marketing and communications stay ahead of the curve and are data and insight driven.
What skills are we looking for?
Strong understanding of paid media channels; Audio Visual, Out Of Home, Digital with a particular focus on Paid Search and the role of the different channels in integrated campaign planning. You will also have experience working in an Agency environment.
Excellent project management and communication skills with experience of managing and improving priority workstreams involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
Media planning expertise and experience delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns across a broad portfolio.
Experience of leading communications to manage and motivate suppliers and agencies to drive maximum value from relationships.
Relevant experience of building positive working relationships and influencing others and working effectively as part of a matrix team.
Commercially aware with budget management experience.
Awareness of direct marketing channels and their role in the end-to-end marketing journey.

Job purpose:
The post holder will support the Digital Content Manager in implementing the Association’s digital strategy. They will create web content that is user focused, accessible and optimised for search engines. As the Senior Legacy Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for helping shape and deliver the legacy and in-memory giving fundraising programme that will maximise the lifetime value of supporters. This role will be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing budget of £600k and an income target of £240k. With a varied legacy marketing programme, this role will focus on both the acquisition and retention of legacy supporters and work across a range of channels including direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV, digital, events, and Free Will products.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within legacy marketing and have a strong understanding of direct marketing across a range of audiences. Assistant Centre Manager
Role to cover: Bookings, Marketing & Administration

Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday with capacity to work occasional evenings and a maximum of 2 Saturdays out of 4 each month, if needed. Time off in lieu applied.

Holiday: 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
This is very much a hands-on role and will be suited to a candidate with sales, marketing and administration experience. This role is a significant and essential one for St Paul’s Church and Community Centre.
This role has two clear functions. Firstly to take the lead in room hire and bookings for the church. It is vital in this role for the business to be run with professionalism and skill, maximising the income for the church. The post-holder will develop a clear business strategy with support from the Centre Manager and commercial trustees. The business strategy should be mindful of the wider mission of the church and its community interests. An element of the position is event coordination, to help plan and run events, weddings, and to support external hirers with logistics and setup.
The second function of the role is marketing and communications. The post-holder will be responsible for helping to promote not just the commercial side of the business, but St Paul’s Church and Community Centre as a whole. This means developing an approach across social media, the physical building, the website, and other avenues to communicate the wider vision of St Paul’s. This will be done in consultation with the Centre Manager, Vicar, other staff members and with the PCC.
The role is the engine of the church, providing the necessary income to run the building, employ staff and help run the community programmes. The assistant centre manager is a key role in the life of St Paul’s Church. Working closely with the Centre Manager, other staff and volunteers, the postholder is essential to the smooth running of all our operations. The postholder works across the church and centre programmes but with a particular focus on bookings and marketing.
Role Description
Commercial:
• Be the lead on managing the commercial bookings from the initial enquiry all the way to the end of the booking, dealing with any queries or issues arising.
• Ensure that bookings are well-managed and appropriate for the spaces and facilities offered. Be available to work some Saturdays and evenings in order to facilitate out of hours and larger weekend events.
• Respond to bookings enquiries on email, via our website, on the phone and in person with a customer-focused professionalism and skill.
• Work with the Centre Manager and Vicar to ensure the appropriateness of bookings and cross-referencing with the church diary and community programme.
• Make and complete bookings on our Midas (or similar) booking system, detailing as much information as possible to be able to share with other members of the team.

• Bring in new business to the centre by reaching out to past, present and new clients to increase bookings.
Marketing:
• Be responsible for marketing St Paul’s Church and Community Centre, including physical and social media content. Be proactive in designing posters, flyers, banners and other promotional material, working with external designers and printers when needed.
• Advertise and promote the centre spaces for hire, working with the centre manager and commerce committee to maximise income.
• Ensure that both our physical and digital assets are within brand guidelines, professional and that they promote St Paul’s Church and Community Centre in a positive way.
• Oversee the website and ensure that it is up to date; oversee any new website design project. Enable other staff members to edit the website and support our social media.
Other:
• Be a team player who communicates and works well with our volunteers, the staff team, the commerce committee and vicar.
• Support the Centre Manager in the day-to-day operations of running the church and centre, including parish administration, practical tasks and liaison with external contractors, as necessary.

In this vital role, you will lead the development and delivery of the charity's cash giving programme, including two key postal campaigns and segmented e-newsletters designed to enhance supporter engagement and retention. The Role
We are looking for a Cinema Manager to build and run our brand new service at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
The post-holder will build their team of nurses and volunteers and will work closely with them, the hospital, and with central office operations team to prepare for and run successful film screenings each week.
We will run four regular inpatient screenings each week – exact times and dates to be agreed with all stakeholders, but will include evenings and weekends. There will also be a programme of additional Tailored and Personal screenings on top of these four regular inpatient screenings.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The role of the Cinema Manager is essential to ensure the effective and safe delivery of our service. Based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital the role is responsible for all operational aspects of the service. This includes ensuring screenings happen on schedule and as planned, recruiting and managing volunteers and nurses, and developing relationships with a variety of hospital staff and departments to ensure the service is widely promoted and utilised, and to work together on developing Tailored Screening groups and identify candidates for Personal Screenings.
The position would be part of the larger cinema managers team (all of whom operate remotely at various hospital sites) and report to the National Cinema Manager who is based in our central office in London. This position would suit someone who is self-motivated, wants a varied and interesting role and has an interest in film, healthcare and helping to improve people’s wellbeing.
Service Delivery
- Deliver a programme of screenings each week as agreed according to the operating procedures of a MediCinema, including running and managing screenings on your own. Most screenings are held in the evenings so the role requires regular evening working.
- Be responsible for:
- Marketing the service throughout the hospital, organising collecting and returning patients, and for safety and care in the cinema itself.
- Taking responsibility for health and safety of patients coming to the cinema, and the safety and appearance of the cinema space itself.
- Preparing and operating the digital projection equipment for the screening, ensuring that films are screened to the highest technical standards at all times. Training and ongoing technical support will be provided for this.
- Ensuring that all operational, welfare and safeguarding policies set out by MediCinema are followed accordingly, and that consent forms are obtained for photographic or filmed records.
- Ensuring that all aspects of the operation comply with relevant health and safety legislation, and that areas where MediCinema might be in breach of such are dealt with immediately or brought to the attention of the appropriate authorities for rectification.
- Keeping accurate monitoring and operational records, including contacts and database updating as required
- Collate, analyse and report back on agreed metrics and KPI’s
- Support with arranging and running any special events and special screenings
- When required, arrange and run additional personal screenings for patients unable to attend regular screenings, plus special tailored screenings with particular hospital departments and patient groups.
- Manage the local development and roll out of different Tailored Screening patient groups. Also any other potential new type of screenings we embark on.
- Support the delivery of our ‘Beyond the Big Screen’ bedside services, such as our Disney ‘Moments that Matter’ work.
Nurse & Volunteer Management
- Build, manage and support the team of nurses and volunteers to assist in the duties outlined above and to ensure that screenings run safely and smoothly – this will include managing recruitment and creating monthly rotas.
- Work closely with Voluntary Services Department of the hospital about all the checks and training required for volunteers.
Marketing and Relationship Management
- Be proactive in marketing the service within the hospital, and building key relationships with hospital staff and our partner Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
- Develop and manage effective partnerships throughout the hospital and community.
- Represent the organisation effectively and compellingly at all times.
- Support the programming and development of the MediCinema as a centre for entertainment, being pro-active in developing a creative programme of sustainable events at each site. This could include supporter events, live performance and other relevant activities.
Administration and other duties
- Provide holiday or emergency screening cover when required.
- Manage the collection, loading and returning of films.
- Champion the work of MediCinema within the hospital and cinema environment, as well as confidently and positively representing MediCinema in all interactions and at any meetings and events, including supporter visits.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Birmingham MediCinema, operations and MediCinema as a wider organisation
- Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring an inclusive and whole organisation approach
- Undertake other tasks, projects and duties as reasonably required.
MediCinema is a small team and staff members are expected to support each other and share cross-organisational work in addition to fulfilling individual responsibilities.
