Job description

Be the Guardian of Legacy and Vision

RANGER CADETS is a brand new start up uniformed youth work organisation dedicated to preparing young people for life. Through service, ceremony, community, and structured training, we help cadets grow in confidence, resilience, and pride. Now, we’re seeking committed Trustees to join our Board and help guide our mission, ensuring Ranger Cadets thrives with integrity, sustainability, and impact.

Your Mission

As a Trustee, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership, helping shape the vision and direction of Ranger Cadets.

  • Safeguard governance and compliance, ensuring we meet our legal and ethical responsibilities.

  • Support financial oversight, protecting resources and ensuring sustainability.

  • Champion our values, ensuring volunteers and cadets are respected, valued, and inspired.

  • Act as an ambassador, raising awareness and building partnerships that strengthen our movement.

Why This Role Matters

Trustees are the stewards of Ranger Cadets’ future. Your leadership will ensure our organisation remains strong, transparent, and dignified, enabling us to prepare young people for life for generations to come.

What You’ll Gain

  • The chance to shape the legacy of a growing national youth movement.

  • Experience in charity governance and leadership, transferable across sectors.

  • The pride of knowing your decisions empower cadets, volunteers, and communities.

  • Belonging to a close-knit team that honours tradition while preparing youth for the future.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Leaders with integrity, vision, and a passion for youth empowerment.

  • Individuals with skills in governance, finance, HR, communications, or community leadership.

  • No prior cadet or military experience required — commitment, heart, and wisdom are essential.

Step Forward

This is more than a role. It’s a chance to be the guardian of Ranger Cadets’ legacy, inspire community, and prepare young people for life.
