Job description
Support Baytree’s Communications Teams by taking photographs of activities and events across the Centre. Your images will help showcase Baytree’s impact, tell the stories of our community, and support its marketing, communications, and fundraising plans.
Main responsibilities:
- Take photographs of Baytree activities, workshops, events and celebrations.
- Share selected images with Communications Team in timely manner.
- Adhere to Baytree’s safeguarding, consent and privacy policies.
Skills and qualities required:
- Able to provide and use their own camera equipment.
- Confident using a camera and taking high-quality photographs.
- Comfortable working with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Flexible and willing to support varied tasks.
Desirable:
- Experience in event, portrait, or documentary photography.
- Interest in charity, education, or community development.
- Basic photo editing skills.
- Experience volunteering or working in a community setting.
Commitment:
- Flexible
– once a month (Monday–Thursday), two hours between 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
- 4 to 6 months during term time, with flexibility to extend.

We reimburse up to £7 for travel and £5 for lunch expenses for each full day of internship.

Job description
Many people affected by terminal illness don't realise the support available to them until they need it.
By becoming a Community Ambassador Volunteer, you can help change that.
Local communities play a vital role in supporting people through some of life's most challenging times. You can help strengthen those community connections by sharing information about Marie Curie and raising awareness of the support available to anyone affected by terminal illness.
This is a flexible role that can fit around work, study, family life or retirement.
Whether you visit a local library, community centre, GP surgery, leisure centre or community event, you'll be building relationships, sharing information about Marie Curie and helping strengthen community awareness. (
Availability: Volunteer around your existing commitments
Time: Just 2-3 hours per month
Location: Within north East Derbyshire.
Volunteers are not expected to travel extensively across the area and can choose opportunities that are local and convenient to them.
Criteria: 18 years of age or over
