Brain tumours do not discriminate, and they do not respect boundaries. They can strike anyone, at any age. And they strike quickly. Our Community Experience (CX) team plays a vital role in making sure our community receives an excellent experience and remain at the heart of everything we do.

The Supporter Care team are looking to recruit a CX Office Admin Volunteer, who can support with some of the weekly admin and practical tasks, especially during our busiest period leading up to Christmas. Whether you're sending letters and certificates, keeping our supporter database accurate and up to date, or helping with essential admin tasks, your support will help us provide a high-quality experience for our donors and fundraisers.

How can you help?

In this role, you’ll work within our Supporter Care team, helping to make sure all of our donors and fundraisers feel valued and appreciated for their incredible support. You’ll be asked to support with a range of activities, such as:

• Generating and printing out certificates for our events and community fundraisers
• Posting out thank you letters to supporters
• Sending out welcome letters and badges to our new Regular Givers
• Updating The Charity’s database and carrying out data entry tasks
• Helping with other ad-hoc admin tasks as needed

Location and time commitment

It means balancing training with everyday life, committing to an ambitious fundraising target, and pushing yourself physically and mentally – all while supporting a cause that means so much. That's where you come in.

As a volunteer, you'll play a vital role in motivating and inspiring our incredible fundraisers every step of the way. Whether you're sending words of encouragement, creating thoughtful fundraising and cheer packs, preparing event-day kits, or helping our Events Team deliver an unforgettable experience, your support will make a real difference. Together, we'll ensure every participant feels valued, supported and ready to achieve something extraordinary.

How can you help? 

As an Events Team Support Volunteer, you will play an important behind-thescenes role in helping our fundraising events run smoothly. You'll help create a positive experience for our supporters from the moment they sign up through to celebrating their achievements after event day. You may be asked to support with a range of activities, including but not limited to:

• Supporter communications: Making phone calls to wish participants good luck before their event, congratulate them afterwards and thank them for their incredible fundraising efforts, as well as preparing and posting good luck cards and other supporter mailings.
• Participant materials: Preparing fundraising packs, participant welcome materials and certificates, ensuring participants receive everything they need.
• Event preparation: Packing event day materials and organising and assembling cheer packs, including banners, pom-poms, signs and other supporter resources.
• Data and administration: Assisting with data entry, updating supporter records, envelope stuffing, labelling and other general administrative tasks.
• Event and team support: Assisting with event logistics in the lead-up to busy fundraising events and helping to ensure the Events Team workspace is tidy, organised and well-stocked.
• Ad hoc support: Supporting wider Events Team projects and administrative tasks, particularly during busy periods, to help keep things running smoothly.

About The Pinnacle Centre

The Pinnacle Centre is a third space in Birmingham helping young adults grow holistically. We work across three domains: personal development, sports and wellbeing, and community and belonging.

Vision 2030 is where that work is heading. We're building a multi-purpose centre in Birmingham — sports facilities, co-working space, an auditorium and a café — designed as a home for young adults to train, work, learn and gather.

Role Summary

You own campaigns end to end, and the audience thinking behind them. You take a target — attendance, sign-ups, donations — work out who we need to reach and how, brief the team, and deliver the number.

Key tasks

1.  Audience & planning

○ Define priority audiences and what genuinely motivates each of them to turn up.

○ Own the marketing calendar, mapped to the programme, event and fundraising calendars.

○ Set and publish targets: reach, sign-ups, attendance and return rate.

2.  Campaign execution

○ Build campaign plans with objective, audience, message, channels and timeline.

○ Write clear briefs for Creative, Video and Social, with realistic lead times.

○ Manage paid promotion within budget, and adjust mid-campaign on what the numbers say.

3.  Measurement

○ Track performance against target daily while a campaign is live.

○ Run post-campaign reviews with honest conclusions.

○ Own analytics, CRM data quality and GDPR compliance for marketing communications.

4.  Coordination

○ Coordinate with Fundraising on income campaigns and with Events on ticketing.

○ Support Partnerships with distribution through partner channels.

○ Report to the CMO against target.

Shopmobility is a scheme that supports people to hire mobility aids during their visit to the city. We're based in Chantry Place (previously Chapelfield Shopping Centre) and we are looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the day-to-day running of the shop.This is a great opportunity to volunteer, build your skills and meet new people!

Purpose of the Role:

Support the delivery of engaging and practical IT sessions at the Baytree Centre, helping adult participants gain confidence in using laptops, smartphones, and other digital tools for everyday tasks. By offering guidance, encouragement, and a welcoming environment, the role empowers participants to enhance their digital skills and navigate technology with ease.

Main Responsibilities:

- Provide one-to-one support to participants, helping them with basic laptop and smartphone functions.

You are the person who thinks “this would make a good post”, while activities are taking place. More than that, your interest and belief in digital communications as a force for good should be backed with an interest in data and analytics, using them to influence our overall communication strategy.

Your role would include:

• Interacting with our digital communities to increase engagement, followers and the quality of user experience.

• Identifying key influencers and conversations that we should engage in to better showcase our work and expand our reach.

• Managing our other channels of communication, including newsletters, donor engagement, website and press service.

EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Equal Aqua is managed by an international team of 30+ volunteers, based mainly in the UK and Uganda, but spanning over 10 countries.

Fundraising Manager (volunteer) - Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of Equal Aqua's fundraising strategy in line with business objectives, and the vision and values of EAU;
• Lead an international team of volunteers to execute the fundraising strategy, delegating and managing responsibilities as appropriate;
• Lead EAU Fundraising team to raise income through multiple channels: grant and charitable foundation applications, corporate sponsorship, individual and community giving, and creative fundraising events;
• Manage a portfolio of existing supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors;
• Improve supporter retention and maximise donors’ lifetime value to EAU;

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

You can expect us to

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

· help at fundraising events such as quiz nights, cake sales and dances

· promoting a professional image of Cats Protection at events

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

We are looking for a Community Engagement & Accountability Officer who is responsible for assisting in the implementation of integration activities and projects and ensuring that the needs and opinions of Second Tree community members are used to guide our work.

Your role would include:

• Creating timelines and coordinating plans for community engagement events

• Summarising relevant data collection in reports and project deliverables

• Communicating with community members and building trusting relationships

• Managing the organisation of proposals and other documents created by the CEA team

• Maintaining necessary records, files, reports, databases, and resource materials for the CEA team

• Researching information and gathering data necessary for community reporting

• Working with the wider Second Tree team to ensure that all community engagement events and projects align with organisational and programme strategies

• Supporting the CEA team by ensuring good levels of engagement with the community during activities and projects.

You should be able to:

• Be flexible with changing approaches and processes dependent on adjusting needs and contexts

• Take initiative and show high motivation

• Oversee the delivery of program activities and the completion of vital administrative and logistical tasks

• Be accountable and efficient, making sure that tasks that you take up are completed in the agreed timeframe

• Be honest and transparent, being able to give and receive feedback in the most straightforward way

• Care for people: the interests of the people we work with should always be your first concern

• Prioritise and delegate tasks effectively, ensuring all deadlines are met;

• Manage individuals effectively to create a positive team environment in which shared problem-solving is encouraged

• Communicate in English, both written and orally

• Learn quickly, and manage a wide-ranging and intense workload

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in integrating meaningful community participation premised on thorough needs assessments

• Experience in maintaining and monitoring effective feedback mechanisms

• Experience in integrating community perspectives into planning, evaluation, and reporting of community engagement projects and events

• Training in facilitating focus groups and interviews;

• Knowledge of European projects and deliverables

• Familiarity with project management

• Proficiency in excel and quantitative data collection

In certain periods of the year, demand is extremely high, and the shared houses might be full. If you have the means to pay for your own accommodation, please let us know. We would still be happy to host you if space is available. However, in a situation where the shared houses are full, this would allow us to offer an opportunity to someone that cannot afford to pay rent.
