If you are a professional fundraiser and would like to help but are short on time, we would love to hear from you even if you are unable to get deeply involved. We would appreciate one-off or ongoing advice on the phone, online or in person. We would welcome feedback on our fundraising strategy and past applications, any advice about trust and grant fundraising, and any other advice you can give.
The Fundraising Circle currently meets fortnightly on a Thursday evening on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely. We understand that people may not have a lot of time to give, so we want to find volunteers who could give us one-off or ongoing strategic advice and support.
If you have experience in funding strategy, writing grants for funding applications, corporate fundraising, philanthropy, or any other aspect of fundraising, it would be great to hear from you.

We are looking for illustrators, animators and graphic designers to contribute to our community-led working circle who are working on coordinating our digital marketing.
There is opportunity to lead on projects across creative direction, content creation, social media, film or any other channels of interest, and facilitate the direction of the working circle.
The Comms Circle currently meets every 4 weeks on a Tuesday evening on Google Meet and spends voluntary time outside of the meeting completing agreed tasks remotely.
While technical skills are essential, we also value your ability to think creatively and strategically. You should have experience in creating engaging visual content for various platforms that will engage stakeholders and decision makers, such as public reports, presentations for decision makers, social media and websites. A strong understanding of storytelling and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively through visuals will be invaluable. You should be comfortable with community-led processes. We are looking for a finance professional to join our engaged and friendly board as Treasurer, with specific oversight of the charity’s financial management. While day-to-day financial administration is carried out by employees or external providers, the Treasurer works closely with them and the Board to ensure sound financial governance. The Treasurer provides financial leadership, helps trustees understand the organisation’s finances, and ensures that the charity meets its financial and statutory obligations.
You will have a qualification in Financial Management, Accounting, or Audit, or perhaps be a senior Finance Manager or Director in a charity. We welcome applications from people for whom this is their first Treasurer role, but we are seeking candiates who have some understanding and/or experience of the charity sector. We are willing to provide access to training around the treasurer role, but a basic knowledge of charity accounting and financial management would be a strong advantage.
You will have the ability to communicate financial information clearly to those without financial expertise and be a strategic thinker, with the ability to balance financial scrutiny with broader trustee responsibilities.
Our board meet once a month (either virtually or in person in London) for around 90 minutes. We aim to have strategy days twice a year. You will meet with the CEO and Finance Manager once a month, and be available for ad hoc emails, advice. Trustees are usually appointed for a three-year term, which can usually be extended.
You will also bring a commitment to the values, aims, and objectives of the charity, and a desire to help children and young people who have experienced grief.
Our mission is to provide early intervention to help young people everywhere feel less alone when their world is turned upside down.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the charity’s financial affairs, ensuring transparency and accountability

Established in 1980, the Trust has a long history of supporting progressive farming. For many years we worked as the Organic Research Centre, and following a de-merger in September 2025, we have refocused our activities and are now developing a new strategy to guide our future work.
We are recruiting up to four new volunteer Directors to join our Board and help strengthen the organisation. The Board currently meets quarterly (around one day every three months), either in person or online.
We welcome applications from people who bring any of the following:
- Experience as a grower, farmer, or food producer
- Knowledge of charity sector finance
- An interest in improving uptake of knowledge and skills in sustainable agriculture and food supply chains

Our partner is an NGO working in a low-resource, cash-based operating environment in Zimbabwe to deliver education and livelihoods programmes. With most financial transactions managed manually and limited digital banking infrastructure, the organisation is seeking to strengthen its finance systems to support transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability.
They are looking for a pro bono finance professional to provide targeted finance expertise that will help improve how cash is managed, tracked, and reported, while also strengthening the organisation’s ability to tell its story through clearer, more meaningful financial reporting. This support will directly contribute to stronger decision-making, increased funder confidence, and more resilient operations on the ground.
Key areas of support include:
- Reviewing current cash handling and reconciliation processes and identifying practical improvements
- Sharing best practices for managing high volumes of cash transactions in non-digital environments
- Reviewing existing financial reporting and suggesting NGO-relevant KPIs that better reflect impact and operational performance
- Providing realistic, context-appropriate recommendations that can be implemented by a small leadership team
The volunteer will work closely with senior leadership, supporting finance and operations colleagues to strengthen systems that underpin programme delivery.
Volunteer profile:
The ideal volunteer will have a strong foundation in finance, through professional qualification or relevant experience. Experience working with NGOs and/or in cash-based or developing country contexts would be highly valued. The role would suit someone who enjoys translating technical finance concepts into practical, usable guidance.
Natuore of the role & time commitment:
This is a pro bono role. The assignment is flexible, starting in late January or early February, 2026, requiring approximately 2 hours per week over 1–2 months, with a total commitment of around 15–25 hours.
