As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers

· planning fundraising events and activities with your team

· allocating tasks before and during fundraising events

· keeping financial records from fundraising events

· encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection 

· following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

Time expectation

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

We want you to help us to connect families across Scotland by managing a special closed Community Network Facebook group and a Padlet of groups and events with the support of Adoption UK Staff and current Community Network volunteers. As a Virtual Community Network Volunteer (VCNV), you would be responsible for administering a closed Facebook group for families with adopted children and young people. The purpose of the group is to share Adoption UK Scotland groups and events but also to share activities aimed at adoptive families or care experienced children in one place. 

s a Virtual Community Network Volunteer (VCNV), you would be responsible for administering a closed Facebook group for families with adopted children and young people. The purpose of the group is to share Adoption UK Scotland groups and events but also to share activities aimed at adoptive families or care experienced children in one place. It would also allow parents to post in the group to find families local to them that they can connect with outside Adoption UK Scotland activities. As VCNV you would be responsible for moderating the chat and posts within the group, creating and managing a Padlet that contains groups or events that local authorities or other 3rd sector organisations are hosting. 

The Skills and Experience you need 

• IT literate and familiar with Facebook
• Enthusiasm

• Ability to respect other people’s differences and non-judgemental 

• Confidence to work independently and the ability to recognise when to ask for support or raise concerns if required 

• Desirable but not essential: Personal experience or understanding of the issues facing adoptive parents

We are looking for a Volunteer Copywriter / Script Editor to support our Podcast Production Team.

You will help turn podcast discussions into clear, engaging scripts and written content that supports storytelling and episode structure.

Key Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and creative Marketing Strategist to lead the development and execution of Wekume’s marketing initiatives. This role will play a key part in increasing brand awareness, driving user engagement, and supporting fundraising and growth efforts.
You will work closely with the communications and operations teams to design campaigns that resonate with our audience and amplify our mission.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning

• Lead the development and implementation of Wekume’s marketing strategy aligned with organisational goals
• Identify target audiences and define clear positioning and messaging
• Develop campaign plans to drive awareness, engagement, and user acquisition

Campaign Management

• Plan, execute, and optimise marketing campaigns across digital channels
• Collaborate with the communications team to deliver cohesive and impactful campaigns
• Support fundraising and awareness initiatives through targeted marketing efforts

Brand & Growth

• Strengthen Wekume’s brand identity and ensure consistency across all channels
• Identify opportunities to expand reach and grow Wekume’s user base
• Monitor trends and recommend innovative approaches to increase visibility

Performance & Insights

• Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance and key marketing metrics
• Use insights to refine strategies and improve effectiveness
• Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including communications, product, and partnerships
• Support alignment of marketing efforts with organisational priorities

Person Specification

Essential

• Experience in marketing, digital marketing, or brand strategy (non-profit or social impact experience is a plus)
• Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (social media, email, content, etc.)
• Ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans
• Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions
• Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable

• Experience in growth marketing or user acquisition strategies
