Age UK Bradford District is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Programme Lead – Social Connections to lead our work supporting older people who are experiencing loneliness, social isolation, or a lack of social support.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead our Enabling Connections Programme, helping older people build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and reconnect with their communities.
Working alongside staff, volunteers, health professionals, and community partners, you will play a key role in creating opportunities for older people to feel connected, valued, and supported.
What You'll Be Doing
✔ Leading the delivery and development of our Social Connections programmes.
✔ Building strong referral pathways with health, social care, housing and community organisations.
✔ Supporting and developing volunteers and staff to deliver high-quality services.
✔ Ensuring services are safe, person-centred and outcome-focused.
✔ Monitoring impact and demonstrating positive outcomes for older people.
✔ Promoting services across Bradford District and increasing community engagement.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience coordinating community, wellbeing, health or support services.
- Is passionate about improving the lives of older people.
- Understands the impact of loneliness and social isolation.
- Can build effective partnerships and engage local communities.
- Has experience supporting staff, support team members or volunteers.
- Is organised, proactive and confident working independently.
- Shares our commitment to inclusion, dignity and person-centred support.
Experience within befriending services, social prescribing, community development, or the voluntary sector would be an advantage.

Additional Information
- Travel across Bradford District is required.
- Will need access to a car.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
- Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
