RANGER CADETS is a brand-new start-up uniformed youth work organisation dedicated to preparing young people for life. Through service, ceremony, community, and structured training, we help cadets grow in confidence, resilience, and pride.
Now, we’re seeking a visionary New Cadet Unit Development Lead/Manager to project manage the opening of new cadet units across England. From sourcing free venues, to recruiting adult and youth volunteers, to setting up systems and handing over to the Officer in Charge, you will lead the expansion of Ranger Cadets with dignity, precision, and impact.
Your Mission
As New Cadet Unit Development Lead/Manager, you will:

Project manage the opening of new cadet units, ensuring each launch is smooth, inspiring, and sustainable.

Source free venues and community spaces, building strong local partnerships.

Recruit and induct adult volunteers and youth cadets, creating vibrant new teams.

Lead a small team of volunteers, guiding them to support unit development.

Design systems and processes that serve as flagship models, making each future unit easier to establish.

Hand over each new unit to its Officer in Charge, and team ensuring continuity and dignity.
