You don't need previous trustee experience. If you have the skills, enthusiasm and commitment to support our mission, we'd love to hear from you. Full induction and ongoing support will be provided.

 What you'll do

As a trustee, you'll work alongside fellow Board members to:

  • Help shape the organisation's strategy and future direction.
  • Ensure good governance and sound decision-making.

  • Help us remain financially sustainable and deliver the greatest possible impact for Disabled people across Surrey.

 We're looking for someone who:

  • Identifies as Disabled and shares our values.
  • Has experience in communications, legal, fundraising or strategic leadership.
  • Can think strategically and contribute to constructive discussions.
  • Is committed to equality, inclusion and the social model of disability.
  • Can commit to attending four Board meetings per year and reading papers in advance.

What you'll gain

  • The opportunity to influence positive change for disabled people across Surrey.
  • Experience of charity governance.
  • The chance to use your professional skills to make a real difference.
  • The opportunity to work alongside a passionate and committed Board.
  • Training in GDPR and Safeguarding adults
