About the Role
Worcestershire Cricket Foundation is on an exciting journey to grow the game and transform lives through cricket. We’re now looking for a Non-Executive Treasurer Trustee to join our Board and provide strategic financial leadership at a critical time for the organisation.
This is more than a traditional treasurer role — it’s an opportunity to influence the direction of a forward-thinking charity that connects communities, inspires participation, and champions inclusion across the county. As Treasurer, you’ll ensure financial sustainability while helping us maximise our impact and reach more people than ever before.
Why Join Us?
At Worcestershire Cricket Foundation, we believe cricket has the power to unite and inspire. Guided by our values — being inclusive, collaborative, ambitious, and passionate — we are committed to creating opportunities for everyone, regardless of background or ability.
As a Trustee, you’ll be part of a supportive and ambitious board, contributing to a mission that truly matters:
Using cricket to provide opportunities for every individual across all our communities.
What You’ll Do
As Treasurer Trustee, you will provide oversight, insight, and assurance on all financial matters, helping to guide strategic decisions. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading oversight of budgets, financial planning, and annual accounts
- Ensuring robust financial controls, compliance, and reporting standards
- Advising the Board on financial strategy and sustainability
- Monitoring performance against financial plans and supporting informed decision-making
- Supporting the development of reserves, investment, and fundraising strategies
- Presenting financial updates in a clear and engaging way to the Board and at the AGM
- Acting as a trusted advisor to staff and fellow trustees on financial matters
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the Foundation’s resources are used effectively and responsibly to deliver maximum community impact.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings both financial expertise and a genuine passion for making a difference. You will likely have:
- Strong financial management or accounting experience
- Confidence interpreting financial data and advising at a strategic level
- The ability to influence, challenge constructively, and think independently
- An understanding (or willingness to learn) of charity finance and governance
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to our mission and values
- The integrity and judgement required of a Trustee
Experience with financial systems such as Xero and knowledge of charity reporting or fundraising would be advantageous.
What You’ll Gain
- The opportunity to make a tangible impact across communities in Worcestershire
- Board-level experience within a respected and growing organisation
- The chance to contribute your expertise to a meaningful cause
- A collaborative and inclusive environment where your voice matters
