Our amazing team of volunteers help us run over 100 shops across England and Wales.  Every donated item that you sort, prepare and sell helps to raise vital funds to support us in our mission to make sure no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, is isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential. What your role will involve

There are a variety of tasks that you can get involved with in the shop, including:

• Welcoming and assisting customers, providing great customer service and a fantastic shopping experience
• Receiving donated goods from members of the public
• Sorting, steaming, tagging and preparing donated goods for sale
• Creating eye catching window and in-shop displays
• Keeping the shop floor well stocked, tidy, clean and organised
• Processing sales and serving on the till
• Promoting Gift Aid and other Sense fundraising initiatives
• Acting as an ambassador for Sense; promoting the shop and Sense in your local community
• Supporting with the recruitment and training of new volunteers
• Following new health and safety measures to ensure the safety of everyone

OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Using the voluntary working practices, policies, procedures and values set by Alex TLC, work with paid staff to ensure the charity shop business is run accordingly.

Work to the high standards expected at all Alex TLC shop premises according to the requests of the Shop Manager.

Work as a team member, taking full responsibility for all shop duties undertaken.

Participate in all training and legislative checks required by Alex TLC, statutory and specific to role.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES (INTERNAL & EXTERNAL)

Maintain excellent levels of customer service (remembering customer service extends to colleagues and service providers, as well as customers), going above and beyond where possible.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Expert knowledge of the safe and correct use of all equipment used in the day to day running of the charity shop, for example the till, steamer, pricing equipment. Training is provided.

OTHER FEATURES OF JOB

Hours of work are according to those agreed between yourself and the Shop Manager.

Opportunity to attend the Alex TLC Community Weekend and meet sufferers of leukodystrophy and their families. Volunteers assist in the running of activities during the Weekend and attend the social events included.

About the role 

We are looking for a Community Engagement and Co-Production Volunteer to support our Connect and Offload (CandO) Helpline in Gloucestershire. You will be based within the county of Gloucestershire and, ideally, you will be able to commit 5 hours every two weeks to volunteering. 

This is very much a ‘hands on’ promotional volunteering opportunity. You will be volunteering within our Community Engagement and Co Production team attending local events and attending key stakeholder meetings, with a view to promoting the Helpline and encouraging people to access support. You will also be interacting directly with service users to help identify ways in which we can improve the support we provide within Gloucestershire.

About the service 

Our service provides emotional support, information and signposting for any adult, living in Gloucestershire who would like support with their mental wellbeing.  The service is available every day of the year between 2pm and 9pm.  The service is confidential and promises a safe space in which people can talk freely about their mental wellbeing. 

What you will be doing as a Community Engagement and Co-production Volunteer: 

• Attending external events in order to promote the CandO Helpline. 

• Connecting and liaising with key stakeholders within the county to raise the profile of the Helpline. 

• Engaging with Gloucestershire stakeholders, to identify ways in which we can reach more marginalised members of the community.

What your role will involve

There are a variety of tasks that you can get involved with in the shop, including:

• Welcoming and assisting customers, providing great customer service and a fantastic shopping experience
• Receiving donated goods from members of the public
• Sorting, steaming, tagging and preparing donated goods for sale
• Creating eye catching window and in-shop displays
• Keeping the shop floor well stocked, tidy, clean and organised
• Processing sales and serving on the till
• Promoting Gift Aid and other Sense fundraising initiatives
• Acting as an ambassador for Sense; promoting the shop and Sense in your local community
• Supporting with the recruitment and training of new volunteers
• Following new health and safety measures to ensure the safety of everyone

RollaDome All Skate is seeking a volunteer IT Support Coordinator to assist with IT operations. This role will involve managing Office 365 accounts, providing technical support to the team, and overseeing hardware distribution and maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical IT experience in a nonprofit setting while ensuring smooth technological operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Office 365 Management: Administer and manage the organization’s Office 365 accounts, including setting up new accounts, managing access, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. 

• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to team members, troubleshooting software and hardware issues related to Office 365 and other systems as needed. 

• Hardware Maintenance: Oversee the inventory, maintenance, and distribution of hardware (e.g., laptops, printers, routers) among team members. Ensure that equipment is functioning properly and arrange repairs or replacements as necessary. 

• User Training: Assist team members with Office 365 tools and applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), helping them use these tools effectively for their roles. 

• Network and Security: Support the implementation and monitoring of basic network security measures, ensuring that systems are protected from potential threats. 

• Documentation: Maintain and update IT-related documentation, including user guides, hardware inventory records, and account management processes. 

• Software Licensing: Ensure software licenses are up to date and renew or acquire licenses as needed for organization software. 

• Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate IT systems and processes, suggesting improvements for efficiency, productivity, and security. 

Skills & Qualifications 

• Basic knowledge of IT systems, particularly Office 365 administration 

• Strong troubleshooting skills 

• Knowledge of hardware maintenance (laptops, printers, routers) 

• Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical team members 

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

As a Volunteer Assistant Projects Coordinator, you will support the planning and execution of events and projects for RollaDome All Skate. Working alongside the Event Projects Coordinator, you will gain valuable experience in project management, event coordination, and stakeholder engagement, assisting with both the administrative and operational aspects of project delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Assist with the planning and coordination of events, projects, and community outreach initiatives. 

• Support the logistical aspects of events, including scheduling, vendor coordination, and resource management. 

• Help with the preparation of marketing materials and promotion of events through various channels. 

• Communicate with team members, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on event objectives. 

• Provide on-the-day event support, ensuring that operations run smoothly and tasks are completed efficiently. 

• Assist with tracking event progress and managing project timelines. 

• Help with post-event evaluations, including collecting feedback and providing administrative support. 

Skills & Qualifications 

• Strong interest in event planning and project coordination. 

• Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills. 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Creative, with a strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail. 

• Previous experience in event coordination, administration, or customer service is beneficial but not required.

Single Parents Support and Advice Services is a Charitable Incorporated Company with over 35000 members UK wide. 

Our charity founder and director, Nicola Booth, took the initiative to set up SPSAS in 2012, with the purpose to reduce isolation, loneliness, and to promote equal and fair treatment amongst Single Parents and their Children. We also aim to help, advise and support single / lone parents by giving them access to support and services that they normally would not be able to access for varied reasons. We try to eliminate the stigma attached to being a single parent in society, within all ethnicities across the UK. 

Our charity runs solely on donations and all members of our charity, including the director are currently working on a non-paid voluntary basis. Despite these hurdles, we feel we have made a positive impact with our services. 

We are looking for a solicitor or barrister to occasionally supervise our legal student advisors currentlystudying LPC/BPC. The role is based remotely

·Be a qualified solicitor/barrister with experience of family law and various other laws;

·Have a valid practice certificate
