This position is a permanent full-time post (40 hours per week) which will be home-based. However, regular travel across the UK attend events and meetings will be required. The starting salary for the post will be £29,644.00 per annum.

Job Purpose
- This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all our boroughs.
- Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.
- The objectives of the service include:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
- To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
- To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
- To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
- To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation

The Role
The role of the senior support worker is to support the team manager with the smooth running of the allocated site and staff; supporting development and rest of the team including volunteer recruiting, induction (training and development) and supervision. Senior support worker will also lead in delivering interventions on a one-to-one. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The role will include deputising for the team manager where applicable including debriefing and providing support to the team.

About the role
The aim of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Domestic Abuse Casework Service is to provide advice, information, and support to survivors of intimate partner or familial violence living in the community about the range, effectiveness, and suitability of options to improve their safety and that of their children. All advice will be based on a thorough understanding and assessment of risk and its management.
The purpose of the Hertfordshire Mind Network Community Outreach Worker role is to:
- To provide support and advocacy services to clients experiencing domestic abuse
- To ensure direct contact is made with the client within a specified time of an incident being reported to the police and to carry out a risk assessment.
- To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
- To maintain and enhance service delivery standards and effectiveness.
- To support the team with case management and volume of referrals to ensure a short waiting time and referrals are contacted promptly and assessed appropriately.
- To collate and obtain feedback regarding the effectiveness of the service.

We are recruiting for qualified counsellor or therapist with experience of working with primary age children to join our team and deliver our service at Burstow Primary School in Horley, Surrey from September 2025.
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a difference to lives of the children and young people they work with. You will have a keen interest in and experience of working with children and young people of primary age.
Key responsibilities
- Run a suitable appointment system flexible to the needs of the school, offering students appropriate assessments and counselling appointments
- Manage the tight time boundaries of the role and the often complex and varied workload
- Liaise with school staff over referrals, waiting lists and appointments
- Carry out initial clinical and risk assessments and establish appropriate referral pathways with other services where appropriate. Continually assess risk throughout each student’s counselling.
- Follow YMCA Dialogue safeguarding procedures; to know who the School’s Designated Safeguarding Officer/s is and how to contact them when a safeguarding concern arises
- Work at all times within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions
- Maintain individual membership of the BACP and to become a Registered Member (or other professional body such as HCPC)
- You will establish good professional working relationships with key school staff

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
- You will have a Counselling or Psychotherapy qualification, minimum Level four and ideally level six, and two years’ post qualifying experience in individual counselling or therapy with young people. This will include working with risk issues
- You will also have a sound understanding of child protection and vulnerable adult safeguarding issues, policies, and procedures
- You will have proven experience in safeguarding children and young people, responding to, managing, and referring safeguarding issues
- You will have a BACP Membership; BACP Registered or Accredited. Or other professional body e.g. HCPC
- You will have a keen interest in working with children and will be familiar with using creative therapeutic approaches, along with experience of working in a school setting

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic Campaign Manager to lead, plan, implement and evaluate campaign activity to showcase and promote us as Kingston and Richmond’s local Hospice, helping us to build trust and engagement now and to sustain future decades of community support.
You will lead on gathering insights on these local communities enabling us to create a campaign which resonates with and inspires people to support us, work with us and connect with us. You will collaborate to produce an innovative campaign, using digital and non-digital channels across a range of owned, paid and earned media.
Your success will be measured on results; increased awareness, understanding, engagement and activation that results in raising more income for Princess Alice Hospice. Building relationships with local stakeholders will also be key.
The role will be based at the Hospice but will require you to spend time on a weekly basis in both Kingston and Richmond. There is also some flexibility with regards to hybrid working.
Flexible, between the hours of 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and/or evening work required. Part-time (minimum 30 hours) will be considered.
About you
You will be an exceptional communicator. You will have experience of managing comprehensive campaigns across a range of media especially in local or community-based campaigns. Your ability to inspire, motivate and mobilise both internal colleagues and potential partners externally will be key. Overall, you will have excellent insight, planning, organisational and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and appreciation of copy and production quality issues.
