Web and Digital Content Officer

As Fundraising Lead- North & North Wales, you will lead Philanthropy and Corporate fundraising across your region, developing relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, senior business leaders and corporate partners.

Fundraising at the Sutton Trust
We are seeking a dynamic and confident Philanthropy Manager to join our high-performing fundraising team. The Sutton Trust is at an exciting point in our organisational journey, with a new Chairperson and ambitions to significantly grow our impact and fundraising as part of our 2030 strategy.
Over the past five years the impact of the Sutton Trust has increased, especially in our programme numbers, securing a relatively stable income of c.£6m over a number of years. In recent years this has grown to c.£7m, and our organisational strategy to 2030/31 will continue this fundraising trajectory to increase income to £12m. With a growing portfolio of philanthropic income from individuals – currently accounting for c.£1.2m – there is considerable enthusiasm and opportunity to build upon existing relationships and establish new ones in support of the work of The Sutton Trust.
Our fundraising approach will continue to focus on major gifts, harnessing and increasing our networks, and multi-year partnerships to leverage a range of drivers to secure philanthropic support. We anticipate utilising the structured giving schemes designed for our individual supporters to build a robust pipeline for future major gifts. This will include a focus on building out our newly refreshed Fellowship scheme and, importantly, working with the Head of Philanthropy to implement a segmented fundraising campaign with our 40,000 strong alumni community. Additionally, there is significant opportunity to build upon recent successes and further develop our approach to legacy fundraising.
Main duties
New Business
Managing and growing the Trust’s Fellowship scheme through scoping, developing and securing new four and five-figure gifts from individual supporters, working closely with the Director of Development, Head of Philanthropy, and senior volunteers appropriately to secure and steward.
Work with the Head of Philanthropy to identify and cultivate a prospect pool of potential donors at all levels, including utilising the CRM, current low-level donors, stakeholder network mapping through the Board and Trustees, as well as prospects research of philanthropists with an active interest in education/ social mobility.
Undertake prospect research across the spectrum of philanthropic income in collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy – including identification, due diligence, qualification, and creating briefings and outreach plans.
Work with the Head of Alumni Engagement to proactively identify Sutton Trust alumni with the capacity and inclination to support our work, developing meaningful relationships, identifying relevant opportunities to deepen their connection to the Trust, and influencing alums to start and continue their giving journey.
Work with the Head of Fundraising Operations and Head of Philanthropy to design, implement, and promote a low-level online giving journey, including automated stewardship activation.
Supporting the Head of Philanthropy to implement a compelling legacy campaign.
Work with colleagues across the Development team to identify, qualify, cultivate and secure prospects, using resources effectively where there are links between corporates, individuals, and trusts & foundations.
Account Management and Development
Manage and grow the Trust’s Fellowship major donor scheme, creating meaningful, mutually beneficial and long-term relationships.
Create meaningful and personalised donor plans for your portfolio, including reporting, regular written updates and in person meetings where appropriate.
Working with the Director of Development and Head of Philanthropy to support the stewardship and management of the Board, and other major donors.
Be accountable for achieving individual agreed income targets, looking for opportunities to grow funding and diversify philanthropic income.
Support the Head of Philanthropy in developing high-quality Fellowship and philanthropy collateral and communications.
Take responsibility for all elements of event management for individual donors, including creating, planning and managing events that create meaningful experiences for donors. This may include drinks receptions, small private dinners, panel events, and programme visits.
Fundraising, Line Management, Finance and Reporting
Effectively line manage and coach the Philanthropy Assistant, supporting their development as a fundraiser.
Work with colleagues to deliver impactful events to cultivate prospects and steward partners, with a focus on experience for individual supporters and prospects.
Act as an ambassador for the Trust with external audiences, delivering presentations and providing expertise as required.
Work with colleagues across Development and Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, income tracking, donor record keeping, and reporting for philanthropic income.
Working closely with colleagues, provide philanthropy fundraising expertise to increase awareness of viable funding opportunities and develop organisational understanding of best practice when working with individual supporters.
Ensure you and your line report appropriately follow policies and procedures on due diligence, Salesforce and data management, account management, stewardship, and reporting.
Stay up to date with philanthropy fundraising best practice, embedding it across the Philanthropy team’s work, and keep abreast of developments and opportunities within the wider fundraising space.

Person Specification
We welcome applications from individuals who have experience in:
Experience building and managing donor relationships with individuals giving four-figures and above per annum in a philanthropy team or other fundraising capacity, and through structured giving schemes.
Experience of all elements of the cultivation cycle, including prospect research via multiple sources, to develop a prospect pool of individual supporters.
Experience of working with key senior colleagues across an organisation to secure major gifts and steward relationships, including making the ask for five-figure gifts.
Experience of managing meaningful donor events and experiences, from concept to delivery.
First-class interpersonal skills - a natural ambassador able to represent the Sutton Trust with gravitas and confidence in a range of settings.

About the Role
Norwood is investing in the future of Positive Behaviour Support across both our adult and Children & Family Services.
This is a strategic role with the mandate to shape, strengthen and modernise PBS practice across Ravenswood and our North West London services. You will define what high-quality, evidence-based and person-centred PBS looks like at Norwood and ensure it is delivered consistently.

· Lead transition support across all nations, with a focus on Scotland, for children and young people facing key life changes, including:

· You will lead, but expected to work collaboratively with the England-based Transition Coordinator to ensure consistency and continuity of support across the UK

3. Wellbeing Tracking and Outcome Measurement
· Administer wellbeing questionnaires and record scores across key domains (e.g. physical health, emotional wellbeing, financial security)
· Collaborate with families to co-create action plans and track progress
· Ensure all data is entered into CRM (E-Tapestry or similar) within the allotted timeframe, i.e. immediately after or during the call.

We are seeking an experienced Manager of Philanthropic Giving with a strong track record in securing major gifts. We are looking for an experienced and motivated fundraising professional with a strong track record in major donor fundraising along with experience in Trusts and Foundations fundraising. You will have experience of Trusts and Foundations fundraising including pipeline management and stewardship, writing compelling funding applications and impact reports.

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.
We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.
Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits and welfare advisor.
Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families. We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.
The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

TITLE: Borough Service Manager - Ealing
SALARY: £33,845 p.a.

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
JOB PURPOSE: To manage and develop the Weekend Social Club on behalf of the organisation within the agreed business plan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.Running a Service
The Borough Service Manager is responsible for ensuring that the running of a service is done in line with Build on Belief mission to offer a place where clients users and volunteers can get on-going peer support from others with similar experiences through a range of activities, in line with Build on Belief Core Values and abiding by the Policies and Procedures of Build on Belief and the Build on Belief Standards of Practice and Operational Guidelines (hereafter referred to as SOPOG).
2. Staff Management
The Borough Service Manager will be responsible for a small team and will be in charge of ensuring that their Service Support Workers, Team Leaders, Facilitators and Volunteers work within the Policies and Procedures applicable to them and the SOPOG.
They will be responsible for the supervision of their Service Support Workers and the Team Leaders. The remaining volunteers will be supervised by Build on Belief Service Support Workers.
The Borough Service Manager will be accountable for ensuring their Service Support Workers complete accurate timesheets, comply with the Annual Leave policy, report absence, and keep accurate financial records and petty cash and supervise volunteers in accordance with the SOPOG.
The Borough Service Manager will support the Service Support Workers in ensuring that all required reporting and paperwork is submitted on time and to acceptable levels of competency.
3. Finance
The Borough Service Manager is responsible for all financial accounting and reporting related to the day to day running of their service in accordance with the SOPOG.
The Borough Service Manager will be accountable for all petty cash activities in the service centre ensuring the following:
• All financial matter relating to petty cash and vouchers are undertaken in line with the guidelines set down in the SOPOG.
• For the reporting of all financial matters to the Chief Operating Officer within the timelines set down in the SOPOG.
• For accurate and immediate reporting of any financial irregularities to the Chief Operating Officer within 24 hours of them coming to notice.
4. Training
While the in-house training programme will still be delivered centrally, or on-line the Borough Service Manager is accountable for ensuring that they, and/or their Service Support Workers deliver the following workshops to their volunteer teams three times per calendar year:
• Boundaries and Confidentiality
• Safeguarding
• Communication Skills
• Dealing with Difficult Behaviour
• Diversity & Discrimination
5. BoB Policies and Procedures
As per their contract of employment, Borough Service Managers are responsible for abiding by all Build on Belief Policies and Procedures and to make sure Service Support Workers and Volunteers also comply with the policies that are applicable to them. This includes the Standards of Practice and Operating Guidelines.
In addition to compliance with the Serious Incident Policy, all Team Leaders and Service Support Workers are responsible for reporting all incidents occurring in their service as detailed below. The Borough Service Manager is accountable for ensuring the guidelines below are adhered to without exception.
6. Incident Reporting
The Borough Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring Incident Reporting is done within both the guidelines and timelines set out in the SOPOG.
•All incidents, including those that may be considered minor, persistent, and abusive language being and example, will be reported in writing within 24 hours of their occurrence.
•Incidents that take place on-line or through other digital activity will also be reported in writing within 24 hours.
•Incidents will be recorded on the Build on Belief incident report form and sent to the Chief Executive. They will be password protected.
•It is expected that the Chief Executive will be notified by telephone of serious incidents on the day of their occurrence. When the Chief Executive is unavailable, through sickness or annual leave, it is expected that the incident will be reported by telephone to the Head of Services.
•Where applicable, incidents will be uploaded onto Datix within 24 hours of their occurrence.
•Any incident that results in an individual being excluded from a service, however short a period, will be considered an incident and must be reported in writing within 24 hours of its occurrence. It should be noted; there are no exceptions to the above.
7. Relationship Management
The Borough Service Manager will be accountable to work in partnership with the service providers ensuring an effective and constructive relationship with them as well as engagement with the local community, in compliance with the SOPOG rules and the Code of Conduct making sure all issues and incidents are reported to the Chief Executive.
8. General
•To promote and represent the BoB Social Club to service users and service professionals in the Borough, ensuring access to any service user who might benefit from the project.
•To ensure the services provided by the Social Club are run in a safe, supportive, and non-discriminatory fashion in line with Build on Belief Core Values and abiding by the Policies and Procedures of Build on Belief and the Build on Belief Standards of Practice and Operational Guidelines.
•To ensure the Social Club meets the needs of the service user community in the Borough, and to carry out development work to the service when necessary.
•To ensure the Service Support Workers, Team Leaders, Facilitators and Volunteer work within the Policies and Procedures applicable to them and the SOPOG, and receive supervision as detailed in those policies.
•To ensure that incidents are dealt with effectively and within the guidelines set down in the Policies and Procedures and SOPOG, and that all such incidents are reported in writing as detailed in those policies.
•To work with the Operations Manager regarding the development of the weekend service and the management of volunteers.
•To record statistical data relating to service users attending the Social Club and submit monthly reports to the Operations Manager. To provide end of year statistical reports and analysis of said data, working with the Operations Manager.
•To promote Social Club services and events to service users and service professionals within the Borough in conjunction with the other Managers of BoB services.
•To work with other members of staff to ensure the service is run in line with the Standards of Practice and Operational Guidelines for the charity.
•To attend Build on Belief Management Committee Meeting in the role Borough Service Manager, and other such meetings as may be deemed necessary, and to work within those meetings for the best interests of the Social Club and the local partnership.
•To prepare for and attend monthly supervision session with the Operations Manager.
•To abide by all the policies and procedures of Build on Belief as given to you at the start of your contract with the organisation.
