You will be joining an ambitious team who work tirelessly to improve the lives of children, young people and families who have experienced sexual abuse. 

Purpose of the role

The Family Support Manager sits within the Therapeutic Services Division at The Green House The role is responsible for managing the Family Support Team who offer Initial Meetings to young people/families/professionals, one-to-one Family Support sessions, multi-agency casework, psychoeducational parent groups and, as well as the Pathway Administrators of the therapeutic services. The post holder will work as part of the Management Team, contributing to service development across the organisation in line with The Green House’s strategy. The Family Support Manager will hold Safeguarding Advisor responsibilities within the organisation. The normal place of work is The Green House, Bristol however it may be necessary from time to time to attend meetings and events elsewhere.

Duties and responsibilities

Service Management

1. Recruit, support and line manage the Family Support Practitioners and Pathway Administrators.
2. Act as a Safeguarding Advisor. As the Safeguarding Advisor, you will attend appropriate Safeguarding training relevant to the level of work and role and ensure that you attend annual refresher training. 
3. To act as a member of the Management Team for the organisation to ensure that services are offered at a consistently high standard and the team is effectively managed.
4. Develop and maintain successful professional partnerships with stakeholders including families, referrers, partners and statutory, private and other voluntary agencies to raise awareness of The Green House and our services.
5. Develop and maintain local relationships to support fundraising activity for The Green House’s service delivery.
6. To manage the relationships in place between The Green House and the External Clinical Supervisors supporting the Family Support Team and Pathway Administrators. Arrange annual meetings with supervisors and manage the annual report process. 
7. To continually review and monitor access to our service provision, identifying ways where this can be developed and innovated whilst keeping true to the fundamental principles, values and mission of the service. 
8. To contribute to all additional pieces of work as outlined by the CEO of the organisation. 
9. Demonstrate The Green House’s values and model leadership qualities.
10. Ensure whole team participation to collect and monitor data in support of service delivery and outcomes evaluation activities for the Family Support Team.
11. Work alongside the Research Manager to produce quarterly and annual reporting on the frontline services.
12. Ensure compliance with GDPR/Data Protection guidelines and The Green House policies relating to data protection, data security and record keeping.
13. To work alongside the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO) acting as the Caldicott Guardian.
14. Work with the CEO, Research Manager and Children and Young People (CYP) Therapeutic Manager to develop new funding bids relating to evidence-based interventions and service innovation.

Therapeutic services responsibilities

1. To lead weekly Family Support and Pathway Admin team meetings. Facilitate team discussions around aspects of the Family Support casework with children, young people, families, and other agencies, safeguarding and risk management, reflective practice and provide peer support opportunities.
2. To qualify Requests for Support (referrals) with the CYP Therapeutic Manager.
3. Participate in weekly triage meetings in partnership with the CYP Therapeutic Manager.
4. To manage the day-to-day practice of the Family Support Service, within this sits management and oversight of the Parent Group, one-to-one work and Initial Meetings.
5. To ensure that data, monitoring, outcomes and evaluation gathered as part of the Family Support service are input appropriately into the organisation’s case management system to assist with annual monitoring and reporting processes. To review these processes in partnership with the Research Manager.
6. To lead on development and review of services, processes and documentation associated with the Family Support service.
7. To monitor and manage the Therapeutic Services waiting lists, service delivery and KPIs in partnership with the Management team on a monthly basis.
8. Management of Pre-Trial notes requests, in relation to statutory investigations and our pre-trial work prior to court proceedings.
9. To attend all relevant external meetings with other agencies and professionals as required. 
10. To respond appropriately and in a timely manner to external queries regarding the Family Support service, providing relevant information where required. To develop new relationships and partnerships with appropriate agencies and professionals to assist with the growth and reputation of the service.
11. Manage Subject Access Requests made by children, young people and families in partnership with the Data Protection Officer.

General Responsibilities

• Always adhere to all Charity policies and procedures.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety, Data Protection, Safeguarding and other relevant legislation. To contribute to the ongoing development of the organisation by actively participating in consultation and other initiatives as required. 
• To work autonomously and manage own workload effectively, to ensure targets are met. To assist with basic house-keeping requirements as required.

• Participate in all required meetings to support the Charity to achieve it aims and objectives.

• Line manage the Fundraising Manager, providing regular supervision, support, and performance development

Experience

• Experience in a senior leadership role within the charity, social enterprise, or public sector

• Demonstrable experience of managing and developing staff, with a coaching and supportive leadership style

St George the Martyr is a growing Parish Church. We are looking for an experienced operational leader who can help us build the organisation around that growth and turn vision into practical reality.

This is a senior leadership role at the heart of a vibrant, world-diverse parish in central London. Our congregation has grown, new ministries have taken root, Holy Hour has created a distinctive new space for worship and encounter, and the Borough Food Cooperative has become an increasingly important part of our relationship with the neighbourhood.

There is a great deal of life here. The question for us now is how we develop the people, systems, resources and organisational capacity needed to sustain it.

We are therefore appointing a Director of Operations / Parish Clerk to become the senior lay operational leader of St George the Martyr.

Working closely with the Rector, Churchwardens and PCC, you will take substantial responsibility for the effective day-to-day running and development of the parish. You will help turn our Mission Action Plan and wider ambitions into practical plans, strengthen our finances and governance, lead staff, improve systems, oversee significant projects and ensure that good decisions become reality.

This is not an administrative support role. We are looking for someone who enjoys making organisations work better, can see both the bigger picture and the practical detail, and is comfortable exercising real responsibility and delegated authority.

The role is unusually broad and interesting. Among other things, you will have the opportunity to:

• lead and develop our operational staff team;
• strengthen budgeting, forecasting and financial management;
• improve governance, safeguarding, risk and organisational systems;
• help shape an additional parish support role;
• develop our approach to giving, fundraising and income generation;
• support the continued development of the Borough Food Cooperative;
• help shape the future of our buildings and property, including the significant potential of our nearby St Alphege site;
• make thoughtful use of technology, automation and AI to make everyday work easier and more effective.

We do not expect you to be an expert in every part of this wide-ranging role, and you do not need to have worked in a church before. More important is a strong track record in operations or organisational leadership, good financial judgement, experience of leading people, the ability to solve problems and improve systems, and the confidence to know when to act, when to delegate and when to seek advice.

St George the Martyr stands in the heart of Borough, on a site where Christians have worshipped for more than nine centuries. Our present church dates from 1736 and carries extraordinary layers of London history, but we are not primarily a heritage project. We are a living, worshipping church, rooted in the progressive Anglican-Catholic tradition, sacramental and inclusive, with the Eucharist at the heart of our life.

The Chief Digital Officer (CDO) will see digital and technology not simply as a function or infrastructure, but as a ministry enabler: creating the systems, platforms and experiences that enable increased generosity, strengthen churches and charities, and scale Kingdom impact. A key part of the role is enabling scalable growth across both Giving and Ministry Services, with a focus on platform development, product capability, data infrastructure, insight-led decision making and innovation.

This role is a new addition to a well-established Executive team, who work with high levels of trust, candour and care, and who value laughter, integrity and grace as much as strategic insight and financial acumen.

The CDO will need to work from our office near Barbican, London at least one day a week.
