About the Role

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to male victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, providing individual safety planning, trauma-informed support, guidance, information, and advocacy and enabling victim/survivors to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse and trauma they have experienced.

You may make initial contact with victims of crime, explaining our services and assessing the impact of crime, or receive referrals from colleagues, in order to provide on-going support and case management. You will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and multi agency partners when required. This role requires a specialist understanding of the barriers faced by male victims of domestic abuse and harmful practices.

About You:

Ideally, you will have knowledge about legal remedies for domestic abuse victims and have experience working with drug, alcohol, and mental health issues. An understanding of benefits, housing, and homelessness would also be beneficial.

About the role

Galop is looking for an experienced LGBT practitioner to provide advocacy and support to LGBT survivors of sexual violence. This post will focus on work with children aged 11 and younger adults up to 30, as this is where there is a rapid growth in demand, but may cover older adults if required.

The post will include criminal justice and non-criminal justice related work. The post holder will demonstrate an ability to undertake advocacy, including risk assessment, safeguarding, support planning and interactions with other professionals. They will have experience of offering empathic listening and effective interventions which enable children, young people and survivors of all ages to feel more empowered, informed and resilient.

The post holder will be proactive about their own learning and will be an excellent listener and communicator, be able to work in a calm and trauma-informed manner and be effective in their interventions to support change in survivors’ lives.

Job Summary

As Senior IDVA you will work within a dynamic, fast-paced crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. This role combines oversight of the Duty IDVA service with specialist responsibility for MARAC coordination and participation. You will lead on MARAC responsibilities, oversee the Duty service, line manage two Duty IDVAs, support the Angelou Service Manager with administrative tasks, and hold a reduced caseload providing high-quality advocacy and support based on client-led needs and risk assessments.

You will ensure that the Duty service runs effectively, maintaining referral pathways, ensuring that documents and procedures are in place and embedded into working practice supporting those covering duty as required.

You will line manage the Duty IDVAs and will manage the allocation of cases from duty, liaising with Managers. You will assist the Manager with data collection, data analysis and problem solving.

Acting as the MARAC lead for the team you will oversee the quality of the internal MARAC process, ensuring cases are prepared and presented effectively, attend MARAC meetings on a rota basis and follow up on agreed actions.

You will also contribute to duty work, conducting calls and initial assessments and responding to crises, working within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women referred to our service.

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector and in working with women with children. The post holder will be proficient in data collection and case work recording. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, you will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

About the Roles

As an Employee Relations Adviser, you will provide advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of HR issues, including performance management, conduct, absence, capability, grievance, and structural changes. You will support named business areas, enabling you to build strong working relationships and gain a clear understanding of business demands and pressures.

Collaboration is central to the role: you will work closely with colleagues within the ERA team, as well as with Resourcing, People Business Partners, Finance, Safeguarding and HR Admin teams.

Essential Skills and Criteria:

• Solutions-focused approach, with the ability to adapt your style to suit varied situations and provide pragmatic, relevant advice and options to managers.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience coaching managers considered advantageous.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification, or working towards this, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.
• Strong, up to date, knowledge of UK employment law.
• Proficiency in Office 365 and confidence in managing virtual meetings.
• Ability to facilitate and lead virtual HR meetings, ensuring discussions run smoothly and professionally.
• Ability to take accurate notes during HR meetings and maintain up-to-date case files and documentation throughout the life cycle of each case.
• Effective team-working skills, collaborating across multiple departments and building productive relationships in your assigned business areas.

Additional Information:

• You will be home based but may be dual located if you live near a suitable RSPB office.
• Some travel within the UK may be needed occasionally, but this is not regular.
• Both roles are Fixed-Term contracts until the 31st of March 2027, with slight variations in hours and area of influence.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Moving and Handling advisor, with an interest in working with older people, to join our established and well-regarded in-house Therapy team at Nightingale Hammerson. We’re a diverse, friendly team who are passionate about delivering exceptional services for our Jewish Residents across a full spectrum of needs through a relationship-centred care framework and within a palliative care model.

Your role will be split between delivering moving and handling training to our care teams, supporting teams on the households with moving and handling activities, carrying out complex moving and handling assessments, working as part of a multidisciplinary team and introducing service development initiatives and innovation. You’ll have time to get to know and work collaboratively with our Residents implementing rehabilitation programmes and optimising functional ability to improve quality of life. Put simply, you will make a difference.

Our ideal candidate will be skilled in facilitating learning, supporting residents with complex needs using a range of skills and techniques, using advanced communication skills and strategies to support engagement and being confident with supporting Residents who may be frail and living with a range of medical conditions until the end of their lives. SENIOR HR ADVISOR – GENERALIST STAND ALONE ROLE

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our team starting, ideally, from early 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist, transitioning to managing an HR standalone function. This is permanent full-time role based in Old Street – London, with occasional travel to our Bristol office.

You will be involved in the whole employee lifecycle, from when candidates apply for a job to when staff leave the organisation. You will also help provide training and development opportunities for employees, and guidance around issues such as performance, career progression, and managing disciplinary issues where they arise.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ experience as HR Advisor or equivalent, in a generalist role.

Specialist Debt Adviser

£38,000 • 12-month FTC (potential to become permanent) • 35 hours • Hybrid (3 days on-site in NW London)

I'm partnering with a well-established community charity in North West London to recruit a Specialist Debt Adviser for an impactful, resident-focused project. This is a brilliant opportunity for an accredited adviser who wants to deliver high-quality, FCA-regulated debt advice as part of a supportive, community-centred team.

Working on-site three days a week, you'll provide comprehensive casework support to local residents - helping people stabilise their financial situation, maximise income, negotiate with creditors and access the wider wellbeing, training and support services available through the charity and its partners.

You'll be employed on a fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent (subject to funding), and will benefit from dedicated professional supervision from a specialist debt-advice organisation.

The role

As the Specialist Debt Adviser, you will:

• Deliver full, regulated debt advice in line with FCA standards and the Debt Advice Quality Framework

• Manage a varied and ongoing caseload, conducting weekly face-to-face appointments

• Prepare detailed financial statements, negotiate repayment plans and advocate for clients

• Support income maximisation (benefit checks, grants, vouchers, DHPs, etc.)

• Maintain high-quality case records and ensure compliance with FCA, GDPR and internal standards

• Work closely with the wider team to provide holistic, joined-up support

• Contribute to reporting, audits and service quality improvements

• Provide guidance to junior staff or trainees where required

About you

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Accreditation as a Debt Adviser (CMA/IMA/Wiser Adviser/Citizens Advice or similar)

• At least 1-2 years' experience providing comprehensive, regulated debt advice

• Strong casework skills and confidence handling complex, sensitive cases

• Excellent communication skills and a non-judgemental, empathetic approach

• High levels of accuracy, organisation and the ability to work independently

• Solid understanding of legislation, case law and policy affecting debt advice

• Experience using case management systems and analysing financial information

• Commitment to continuous professional development
