As a Project Worker, you will be supporting them to connect with community resources, building resilience and improving wellbeing. You will take a holistic view to support people’s recovery to live fulfilling lives. 

We are expanding our Support Delivery Team and are looking for a Project Worker who will help us to deliver Trauma Informed support to the individuals we work with as they move forward with their lives, ensuring that support is tailored to each individual’s cultural and social needs.

Main duties and Responsibilities: 

• Key working and managing a caseload of individuals and their families, ensuring those we work with receive support appropriate to their individual needs. Supporting and signposting with regards housing, welfare rights, legal support, health, education/employment, and other aspects of life.

• Direct work with individuals, including home visits, 1-1 activities, or support to attend other agencies as required.

• To establish and maintain effective relationships with other agencies, including Social Services, other statutory and voluntary agencies, mental health services, Children Centres, GP's, and other health services, education, Court Witness Service, to ensure a multi-agency approach to support planning. 

• Promote Rebuild’s group activities to individuals and encourage to attend to enable social connection and belonging. 

• Support the planning and facilitation of group activity sessions and events. 

• Work in a needs-led, strength-based approach to partner with individuals to develop support plans to build resilience and support them to connect into the community. 

• Networking and building partnerships with local organisations and professionals to enhance the work of Rebuild in the local community. 

• To provide mental health first aid to mitigate the aftereffects of trauma caused by trafficking, sexual abuse, rape, domestic slavery or forced labour. 

• Keep accurate records for monitoring and evaluation purposes. 

• Some very occasional weekend and evening work may be required. 

• Make an active contribution to the overall work of Rebuild through team meetings, staff training, awareness and fundraising events, and any other appropriate activities. 

• Keep up to date with all organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct and work towards best practice.

In the right candidate we are looking for someone who can evidence the following: 

• At least 1 year’s previous experience in a support setting. Preferred experience of working with people who have been affected by abuse, trafficking, homelessness, mental health, complex needs, offenders and/or refugees. 

• Awareness of Trauma Informed Practice. 

• Proven knowledge of working with community organisations and signposting to different services. 

• Ability to advocate for the needs of those we work with. 

• Proven experience of carrying out needs and/or risk assessments and the support planning process. 

• An empathetic and compassionate outlook, whilst being able to maintain professional boundaries with those you work with. 

• The ability to develop and maintain good professional relationships.  

• Able to react effectively to highly pressured situations. 

• Strong communication skills with proven writing ability. 

• Discretion and work in accordance with the Data Protection Act. 

• Good people skills especially with those whom English is not the first language. 

• Proven knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures relating to adults and children and young people. 

• Valid employment rights to work in the UK. 

• The post holder will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. 

• The candidate will need to have a vehicle and valid driving licence. Mileage costs to be reimbursed.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties in South West London.  Jigsaw4u has experienced considerable growth and development over the past several years, and this new role has been identified by the Board of Trustees and Chief Executive Officer to support Jigsaw4u’s position and aspirations for the future.

As a member of our Senior Management Team (SMT), you will help to deliver and shape Jigsaw4u's vision and strategy. Under the direction of the CEO, the postholder’s areas of responsibility will be to: 

• Line Manage the Service Managers, ensuring that their teams are high performing, reporting and data collection is of a high standard and relationships with funders and other stakeholders are outstanding.
• Ensure that the structure of all Jigsaw4u services are optimised to allow for growth and support staff and volunteers (including trainee counsellors/therapists) to develop key skills.
• Maintain knowledge and awareness of best practice within the charitable sector (and other sectors where relevant), to inform and update Jigsaw4u so that we take advantage of the latest approaches to change, innovation and development which can have a positive impact on children, young people and families affected by complex social and emotional difficulties.
• Work proactively and collaboratively to identify innovation and business improvement within the Service Management Team to define and agree Target Operating Models and oversee implementation and ongoing review.  Use insight, evaluation and analysis to continually inform and refine practice.
• Play a full part in the development of the SMT and deputise for the CEO as required.  Work closely with the Service Management Team to develop and deliver an outstanding approach to people management, building a learning culture that delivers high quality, extensive support enabling people to achieve their best as a team.
• Represent Jigsaw4u at formal meetings with funders and other stakeholders and through submission of reports and data requests.  Establish new, and strengthen existing, external relationships to promote Jigsaw4u’s profile, influence and reputation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements, and adherence to relevant professional codes and standards of good practice.

About the opportunity

Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future.  The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. We have been successful year on year in increasing our fundraising base by building secure multi-year partnerships.
 

We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to work within our passionate Philanthropy Team to help grow our fundraised income and develop and maintain an effective, high-quality funding pipeline. Focussing predominantly on eliciting funding from trusts and foundations, and working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, CEO and Corporate Partnerships Manager, the Fundraising Manager will ensure the effective management of existing funder relations and take responsibility for ensuring Action Tutoring meets its reporting obligations. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the line-management and development of three Fundraising Coordinators, through which you and your team will prepare and submit grant applications and funding reports, alongside overseeing the development and growth of our individual giving activities and initiatives, including through expansion of our fundraising events and campaigns.

Duties and responsibilities

· Work with the CEO, Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships Manager to ensure Action Tutoring’s fundraising targets are met and manage an effective pipeline across Action Tutoring’s different income streams.
 

· Manage and maintain existing funder relationships, including proactive and requested reporting to donors.
 

· Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships Manager to identify relevant opportunities for collaboration that promote generating income. Alongside your team, support, prepare and provide expertise on applications for corporate funding opportunities identified by the Corporate Partnerships Team.
 

· Working with your Fundraising Coordinators, research and drive new opportunities for multi-year commitments from trusts and foundations, sharing workload between the team.
 

· Lead on the preparation and submission of high-quality, effective applications, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators. 
 

· Monitor when grants are due for renewal and proactively seek out renewal conversations, ensuring Action Tutoring has a healthy funding pipeline. 

· Work with the Fundraising Coordinator for Campaigns, Events and Individual Giving to build Action Tutoring’s income generated from events, ensuring an attractive range of event options across the country. Manage the Fundraising Coordinator to ensure places are secured, participants are supported and engagement is expanded.
 

· Work with  Fundraising Coordinator for Campaigns, Events and Individual Giving to build Action Tutoring’s income generated from individual giving, developing campaigns for driving more regular giving and building our strategies to cultivate, engage and thank individuals. 
 

· Act as a system manager for fundraising platforms, databases and tools including Just Giving and the Giving Block, with support from Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Oversee the development of the fundraising area of the website and fundraising pack to attract new funders and fundraisers to the charity, with support from the Fundraising Coordinators.
 

· Manage the Fundraising Coordinators, ensuring they are growing and developing, and that work load is shared fairly. 
 

· Represent Action Tutoring at relevant meetings and events.
 

· Alongside your team, prepare applications for corporate funding opportunities identified by the Corporate Partnerships Team.
 

· Ensure accurate record-keeping of corporate partnerships and relationships on Salesforce and any other relevant systems.
 

· Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

Person specification

This role requires an ambitious, passionate and determined individual with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Alongside your team you will be responsible for writing and submitting grant applications and reports, so an excellent understanding of the English language and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success within this position. Working to deadlines and line-managing three Fundraising Coordinators, exceptional time-management, prioritisation and organisation skills are essential. With a focus on developing our individual giving strategies, we’re looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal skills. 
 

Qualifications criteria:

· A*-C in maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent experience).
 

· Right to work in the UK.
 

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others: 
 

· At least two years experience in fundraising (preferably within trusts and foundations fundraising).
 

· Proven track record in securing and stewarding 5+ figure partnerships.
 

· Outstanding written and verbal communicator with significant experience writing and submitting grant applications and reports.
 

You will be likely be more successful in this role if you have:
 

· You have a proven track record of securing and stewarding grants of 5+ figure funding.
 

· You have a passion for educational inequality/working within the Third Sector.
 

· Line management experience.
 

· Experience in event and campaign fundraising.
 

· Experience working within a charity with a turnover of £3M or more.

Our Peripatetic Team provide front-line support to Solace’s Advice, Community and Accommodation-based Services across London. Peripatetic Workers enable our services to deliver a consistent, high standard of service.

The team was created in order to have trained, skilled staff ready to cover gaps in service and facilitate the continued smooth running of services, proactively supporting women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.

The Women’s Centre Cornwall has grown from its early roots as a Rape Crisis Centre into an innovative, award-winning feminist organisation which provides a wide range of services for women and girls in our communities. Our work with survivors of sexual and domestic violence is our core specialism as we believe that there can be no real gender equality without a complete cessation of violence against women. In addition, we provide community-based activities across Cornwall and support women ex-offenders across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and HMP Eastwood Park in Gloucestershire.

 PURPOSE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Training Manager to oversee the planning, design, delivery, and evaluation of our annual training initiatives. Collaborating across teams, she will identify needs, develop programs, and ensure staff and volunteer development across the organisation. The role involves creating engaging materials, using innovative methods, and monitoring program effectiveness. Aligned with organisational goals, the Training Manager will foster a culture of learning and inclusion, contributing to a skilled and motivated team dedicated to advancing the Women’s Centre Cornwall’s mission of empowering and supporting women in the community. The successful candidate will also lead on developing a fully sustainable external training arm for the charity.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• To review all existing training, update material and improve the organisation-wide training provision.
• Designing, organising and promoting a range of high-quality courses for staff and volunteers across the organisation.
• To deliver and facilitate TWCC training programmes, both internally and externally.
• Line management and supervision of 2 Training Coordinators, motivating and supporting them to meet their objectives.
• Coordination of annual training schedule across the staff team.
• Work closely with Managers, staff and volunteers to develop and deliver training courses
• To deliver train-the-trainer training both internally and externally
• Develop a suite of external courses with income-generation potential

About Earlsfield Foodbank

At Earlsfield Foodbank, our mission is to create a profound and lasting impact on our community. We are an independent foodbank set up in 2013 and are part of the Independent Food Aid Network.

Earlsfield Foodbank is entering an exciting phase of development as we strive to make a positive impact in our community. As demand for the foodbank grows, we're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and be a catalyst for change.

Summary of Role

Work in collaboration with the Head of Service to manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Foodbank. You will manage and support a team of volunteers, leading by example to ensure the Foodbank operates smoothly and the continuity of delivery standards within the guidelines of EFB policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working or volunteering in a Foodbank. They will be a strong leader and be hard-working, organised, collaborative and confident. They must be passionate about tackling poverty, deprivation and injustice and have a non-judgemental and positive attitude towards people who require support.

Your role will be to further develop and deliver a range of events and initiatives that the Harlequins Foundation offers to its supporters to help us to raise the funds we need to deliver our programmes. As the charitable arm of the Club, we deliver a variety of programmes aimed at achieving improved outcomes for education and employability, wellbeing and inclusion. The role will play a key part in delivering high-profile fundraising events while building the Foundation’s engagement with different communities and supporter types, being instrumental in delivering campaigns and events to engage new audiences with the Foundation’s purpose.

As a proactive and enthusiastic person, you'll need to be adept at managing multiple projects and events concurrently. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and within a small Fundraising team, the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering events from Harlequins matchday activations to Foundation fundraising events.

You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club’s network of supporters, suppliers and delivery partners and manage a portfolio of events and activities for a range of supporter groups.

The successful candidate will be experienced in planning and delivering a variety of events, ideally within the charity sector with a focus on fundraising. An ability to provide exceptional experiences, catering to different audiences including both sports fans and high-net worth individuals as appropriate. Some weekend and evening working will be required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilites

• Support the development and delivery of a varied portfolio of events and fundraising activities to meet agreed objectives, all of which reflect the spirit of the Harlequins Foundation
• Deliver high quality supporter care and stewardship, ensuring a quality experience for supporters at all events that reflect the values and identity of the Foundation, and build long-term relationships with our supporters
• With support of the team where relevant, co-ordinate event logistics; including but not limited to sales, bookings and liaison with supporters and suppliers, material production, event marketing and promotion, set up, and delivery
• Maximise income from our portfolio of events and fundraising activations.
• Ensure relevant processes and policies are in place to deliver a successful, profitable events programme
• Oversee the management of fundraising systems and platforms to create the best possible experience for donors and participants
• Assist with all fundraising aspects of events including sourcing, recording and storing auction prizes and working with the team to manage auction fulfilment
• Regularly review the performance of events and fundraising campaigns, make recommendations for improvement, and support decision-making regarding fit of new opportunities for the Foundation

Qualifications and Experience

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Exceptional events management and project management experience; managing a range of events and budgets in size, profile and scale
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills including budget and project management
• Experience of delivering fundraising events and activations that can engage supporters
• Ability to build excellent relationships especially with supporters, partners, ambassadors and suppliers

Key Responsibilities

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network.

Oversight of Spear Programme

• As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education.

Line Management and training

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development
• Be line managed by Resurgo to support with the set-up and ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPIs.

Church Community

• The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by Alive Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members and help the Spear Coach to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme
• Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services.

Site management and set-up

• Work with the Church to set up the training room and IT infrastructure for the new Spear Centre in advance of opening
• Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies.

Reprieve is a UK charity founded in 1999. Reprieve uses strategic interventions to end the use of the death penalty globally, and to end extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”.

 Reprieve works with the most disenfranchised people in society, as it is in their cases that human rights are most swiftly jettisoned and the rule of law is cast aside. Thus, Reprieve promotes and protects the rights of those facing the death penalty and those who are the victims of extreme human rights abuses carried out in the name of “counterterrorism” or “national security”, with a focus on arbitrary detention, torture, and extrajudicial executions.

Reprieve’s main office is in London, UK. Reprieve also supports full-time fellows, who work as lawyers, investigators and campaigners in the countries in which we work. We work closely with a number of partner organisations in jurisdictions all over the world, who provide access to beneficiaries, expertise, knowledge and guidance on specific issues or regions. We work in cooperation with relevant government officials, individual lawyers and human rights defenders, as well as individual, corporate and foundation funders to further the cause of our shared goals.

 About the Role

The Africa Death Penalty Team Project Manager is responsible for coordinating Reprieve’s litigation and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, the team works on death penalty casework and abolition advocacy in Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. Our casework includes work on individual cases on behalf of people facing a death sentence; large-scale projects, such as the Kenya resentencing project, wherein we support stakeholders to ensure 5,000+ people are able to access a chance at reducing their sentence from death via a new sentence hearing; and  long-term regional projects, such as our strategic litigation before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which challenges the mandatory death penalty, torture, and other associated violations of the African Charter.

Regional context

 There is a trend toward the abolition of the death penalty in Africa. In recent years, countries across the continent have taken the decision to limit the application of the death penalty or to abolish it altogether. This has been seen as a turning away from old laws and systems that were imposed by former colonial governments, which obstructed alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and were designed to remove discretion from the local judiciary. African lawyers and judges are now at the forefront of a wave of progressive jurisprudence on issues related to the death penalty including methods of executions, torture, sentencing practice, conditions of confinement, and intersections of gender, disability, and socioeconomic status with criminal justice. This jurisprudence has become a model for the international movement to limit the death penalty, and is being held up as best practice in jurisdictions around the world.

Contract and location

This is a full-time, permanent role based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model with staff working part of the week from home and part of the week from the office. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel. 

The annual salary is £50,571 full-time per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

This role will deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support and Advocacy service in Liverpool and the Wirral region. Location: Birmingham/hybrid

Hours: Full and part-time opportunities available. 19 or 30 hours per week, with 1 home working day or 38 hours per week with 2 home working days.

Salary: Untrained ISVA: £29,777 pro rata, accredited ISVA: £31,365 pro rata

The Role

You will provide support as an ISVA for children and young people (CYP). You will offer compassionate, confidential, support to CYP of all genders, who have been subjected to sexual violence and abuse. Some of the work will be providing specialised wrap around support to children and their families where the child has been, or is currently being sexually exploited (CSE support). You will provide information about reporting processes; support CYP who have reported to the police; provide emotional support to CYP when they give their evidence in court and provide information about other options, such as civil action and Criminal Injuries Compensation.

An approved and accredited ISVA qualification is preferable for this post, and will start at the accredited salary rate. However, candidates who demonstrate and live the organisations values (bold-believing-big hearted), and have a willingness to work towards ISVA accreditation will also be considered.

About You

Ideally, you will have previous or current experience within a specialist rape and sexual abuse organisation, supporting children and young people’s (CYP) victims/survivors of sexual violence and abuse.

You will also have experience of:

• Supporting 13-16 year olds, a group at high risk of sexual violence, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and sexual coercion.
• The impacts of sexual violence and abuse
• Working pro-actively, and advocating for adult survivor voices and needs
• Working with a range of agencies
• Child safeguarding issues, child sexual exploitation (CSE), legislation and best practice
• Understanding of the need and ability to maintain professional notes and records of their interactions and interventions with clients

The Refugee Employability Programme is a new initiative that offers enhanced support to defined cohorts of legally recognised refugees in the UK. Palladium will work with employers, local government, and other community partners to ensure that individuals are fully supported with their journey back to employment and integration into UK society. The programme includes delivery of employability- focussed English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tuition for some of the defined cohorts.

Primary Duties and responsibilities:

As Case Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the front-line support to customers on the Home Office Refugee Employability Programme, ensuring that they receive excellent service which is compliant with all Home Office requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Take responsibility for engaging with potential customers, explaining eligibility and bringing in referrals to the programme as part of a coordinated team approach.

· Be accountable for your caseload of assigned customers and working with them to address their learning, integration and employment needs in line with both contractual requirements and the individual’s needs. This will include:   

o Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.

o Assessing the customer’s starting position to decide how to best meet their needs. 

o Creating and following through with individual Personal Development Plans, ensuring appropriate and effective activity is undertaken by each customer.
