London/Cambridge board meetings

VoiceAbility makes sure that people are heard when it matters most. We provide free, independent support to over 30,000 people each year to be involved in decisions about their health, care and wellbeing. We're an independent charity and one of the UK's largest providers of advocacy and involvement services.

VoiceAbility are now seeking to appoint up to 3 trustees to further strengthen the board as the organisation continues to take forward an ambitious strategy to increase its social impact.

The new trustees will play a vital role in providing strategic insight and board level expertise as well as ensuring the right blend of support and challenge to the chief executive and executive team.

Applicants will require an understanding of the role of a trustee or non-executive director, sound independent judgement, strategic vision and the ability to think creatively.

VoiceAbility are particularly interested in hearing from people with knowledge and expertise in at least one of the following areas:

Senior level finance experience and an accountancy qualification Digital transformation experience Lived experience as a disabled person and/or of using social care or long-term health services, and the ability to apply insights from this strategically

VoiceAbility are also interested in hearing from candidates who bring one of the above specialisms whilst also having experience of civil society leadership in Scotland.
