Reporting to the Director of Fundraising, you will play a key supporting role within the fundraising team, assisting the Corporate Partnerships Manager and the Communications team. With a key aim of delivering agreed activity and growing income from corporate partnerships.

This role focuses on supporting the identification and recruitment of new regional, national and international corporate supporters, while also playing a lead role in managing and stewarding existing partnerships, with particular responsibility for communications activity and delivery of sponsorship activities and events.

World Horse Welfare has seen a substantial growth in corporate support over the past four years, so this post presents significant opportunities to be part of a growing income stream as the charity celebrates its centenary in 2027.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting New Business Development

• Assist in researching and identifying prospective regional, national and international corporate partners aligned with the organisation’s mission and values
• Support the development of tailored proposals, pitches and presentations for potential corporate supporters
• Help prepare outreach materials, including emails, decks, and briefing documents
• Maintain and update prospect pipelines and CRM records
• Attend meetings and events with prospective partners, taking notes and following up on actions
• Work closely with the charity’s rescue and rehoming centres and wider team to identify new corporate funding and partnership opportunities.

Managing Existing Corporate Partnerships

• Provide day-to-day support in the management of existing corporate accounts
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with partner contacts
• Ensure partnerships are delivered in line with agreed objectives and timelines
• Support the monitoring and reporting of partnership performance and impact
• Attend events linked to corporate supporters to represent the charity, with UK-wide travel sometimes required
• Help organise and attend large corporate volunteer days at the charity’s rescue and rehoming centres

Communications & Engagement

• Maintain a strong understanding of World Horse Welfare’s work to ensure relevance in our corporate partnership work
• Develop close working relationships with Communications team and work closely with them on creating and scheduling of agreed corporate content in line with communications schedules.
• Coordinate and deliver partnership communications, including newsletters, updates, impact reports, and social media content
• Lead on gathering content to form the basis of partnership communication obligations
• Work with internal teams to ensure consistent and high-quality messaging including drafting copy in line with brand messaging, obtaining appropriate images, developing related materials and ensuring approval processes are followed.
• Support the planning and execution of partner engagement activities, campaigns, and events
• Ensure partners receive appropriate recognition and visibility in line with agreements

Sponsorship & Agreement Management

• Assist in drafting and managing sponsorship agreements and partnership contracts
• Track and fulfil contractual benefits (e.g. branding, hospitality, social media, volunteering, speaking opportunities)
• Maintain accurate records of deliverables and ensure all obligations are met
• Support the review and renewal of agreements

Administration & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records within the CRM system
• Track income, pledges, and invoices
• Support preparation of reports and presentations
• Provide general administrative support to Corporate Fundraising Manager and Director of Fundraising in relation to corporate support

About the Health & Safety and Environment team: 

The team manages most Health and Safety functions in-house and works closely with departments across Cats Protection. It includes a head of department, senior officer, environment and sustainability lead, administrator, and four regional officers covering the UK. The team supports retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE, and branch volunteer enquiries.

What we’re looking for in our Health and Safety Officer: 

-Lives in or around the South-East of England 

- NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent) and membership of a relevant professional body 

- Significant experience (3+ years post qualification) in a similar health & safety role, ideally in public sector, facilities, or charity setting 

- Experience working across multiple sites 

- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices 

- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels

This is a rewarding and varied frontline role where no two days are the same. You will be involved in rescuing and supporting vulnerable animals, coordinating veterinary treatment and ongoing care, supporting fostering and rehoming pathways, responding to welfare concerns and helping deliver community welfare initiatives across the Branch area.

You will work closely with members of the public, volunteers, fosterers, veterinary partners, local Inspectorate teams and external agencies to help deliver high-quality welfare support to animals in need. The role will also include supporting the Branch Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programme for stray and feral cats, assisting with animal transport and admissions, maintaining welfare records and helping strengthen frontline animal welfare provision across North London.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in animal welfare, rescue or a similar environment who is confident handling cats and other domestic animals, able to manage varied casework calmly and professionally, and committed to delivering high standards of animal welfare with empathy and compassion.

The role will include some occasional evenings and weekends in line with operational needs.

Working closely with colleagues across the charity, the postholder will enhance supporter journeys, improve donor stewardship, increase recruitment and retention, and identify new opportunities to maximise long-term sustainable income.

• Support the development and delivery of the charity's individual giving and supporter development strategy and annual plans.
• Lead and grow regular giving, lottery, appeals, legacy, in memory and major donor income streams. 
• Create and deliver integrated fundraising campaigns across digital, email, social media, direct mail and other channels. 
• Develop and continually improve supporter journeys to increase acquisition, retention, engagement and lifetime value.

About the Role

As Major Gifts Officer, you will support delivery of agreed activity within the Major Gifts Team, successfully cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of mid-value individuals and trusts and delivering a range of agreed projects. Working closely with the Philanthropy Managers, and the Trust Lead, you will lead the teams to secure, and grow, vital funding from philanthropic and trust sources to support the welfare of dogs and cats across the UK and internationally. The role currently leads a team of 7, which will continue to develop over the coming years.

The postholder will drive forward the Philanthropy & Trusts strategy as well as oversee KPI development and measurement, and budgets for the teams. The role is also responsible for growing the prospect and donor pools for both Philanthropy & Trusts and ensuring that the team’s donor development plans reflect best practice in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

The post will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, but in particular with the Head of Philanthropy, Partnerships & Commercial, the Senior Corporate & Commercial Partnerships Manager, the Senior Fundraising Operations Manager and the Special Events & Stewardship Manager, to collaborate on joint projects and ensure contacts are shared to maximise all opportunities.

Greyhound Rescue Wales (GRW) is Wales’ leading charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming greyhounds and lurchers. Founded in 1993, we have spent more than three decades championing the welfare of sighthounds and working towards our vision: a Wales without greyhound racing, where every greyhound and lurcher has a home and receives the best possible care. 

In April 2026, after 25 years of determined campaigning to improve welfare and regulation within the racing industry, legislation to ban greyhound racing in Wales was finally passed. This landmark achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter for GRW as we expand our reach and capacity across the UK to ensure every greyhound leaving the racing industry has a rescue space, medical support and rehabilitation on the journey towards their forever home. 

To help us grow sustainably and strengthen our long‑term impact, we are now seeking to develop our fundraising team with the creation of a Trusts and Foundations Officer. This role will play a key part in increasing and diversifying our income, enabling us to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome even more dogs during this pivotal moment in our charity’s history. 

Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Trusts & Foundations fundraiser who is ready to strengthen and diversify their experience, to work with small, medium and high-value funders, and to play a meaningful role within Greyhound Rescue Wales.

The Trusts and Foundations Officer is responsible for securing grants of varying sizes, translating all aspects of GRW’s work into compelling, high-quality applications for a diverse range of prospective funders.

As part of our Income Generation Team, you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Sponsorship & Individual Giving Officer and Community & Events Fundraiser to help deliver an annual income target of £400K+.

You’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of trust and foundation relationships, building on warm funders while also researching and developing new prospects at the four-to six-figure level.

This role offers hands-on experience across the full trusts fundraising cycle — from research and relationship-building to bid writing, reporting and stewardship with strong support and clear opportunities to grow

Working alongside other Farm staff, the Programme Manager will be responsible for the oversight of our community activities and events and coordinating our volunteering offer. You will be the go-to person for operational matters, ensuring our core activities and functions meet our strategic objectives, match our values, and are delivered to a high standard.  You will be a member of our leadership group, and will contribute to day to day running of the Farm.  If you are looking for a management role that allows hands on engagement with animals and children and young people - this could be the role for you!
