About the position
This is an exciting opportunity to help make a positive impact for animals by supporting HSI’s UK campaigns on wildlife, farmed animals, and the fur trade. As part of our dedicated and friendly team, you’ll play an important role in producing effective campaign communications materials, building HSI/UK’s brand awareness, and ensuring our events run smoothly. You'll take a lead on day-to-day publishing and community engagement on our social media channels. Whether you’re drafting engaging copy for digital platforms or providing administrative support and reporting on metrics, your skills will help us make a difference for animals in need.
Please note: Our recruitment policy is to offer a fixed one year contract to start, with a view to move to a permanent contract in year two based on performance.
Key areas of responsibility

Co-ordinate the day-to-day social media planning, scheduling and community engagement on channels including Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn.

Assist with creation and maintenance of content for UK campaigns, such as social media posts, supporter actions and web pages, including video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro.

Oversee the production of public-facing materials, such as banners, leaflets and props, for HSI’s UK campaigns, as directed.

Undertake administrative tasks, including communications project management, expense tracking and maintenance of visual asset library.

Ensure accurate, timely recording and internal communication of progress against strategic communications goals, including through social media analytics, tracking of media coverage and quarterly reports.
About you
Our successful candidate will be highly organised, positive and proactive with excellent attention to detail. You’ll have the ability to create creative and persuasive digital content which informs our supporters and encourages them to take action for animals. An understanding of the media and celebrity/influencer landscape in the UK would be beneficial. You’ll have experience working in a communications role, ideally gained within the charity sector, and a proven track record of supporting the delivery of effective campaigns and external communications.

Location
This position is based remotely. But you must be a resident of the United Kingdom with all the necessary legislative ‘right to work’ documentation. Responsible for assessing and monitoring the behaviour and welfare of all case and signed-over animals, particularly dogs, placed in the care of Danaher. The Role: In this pivotal position, you'll design and execute a fundraising strategy for Pennyhooks Farm Trust to secure and meet ongoing revenue targets. In addition, you will work on an urgent and vital capital project to secure essential funding to develop residential accommodation on the farm, to sustain the purposeful working of these young people as they grow older, providing them with a home and a job for life. The Retail Manager with e-commerce will have responsibility for the five Danaher Charity
Shops providing strong leadership for the shop managers to drive and enhance the
profitability and attraction of the shops, ensure standards and administrative procedures

About the role
As the Associate Director of International Programmes & Impact, you will lead the development and delivery of Compassion in World Farming’s international programmes, working closely with our global network of country offices and key partners. This senior leadership role focuses on creating meaningful change in food systems and advancing animal welfare by ensuring our campaigns and advocacy efforts are impactful, well-coordinated, and strategically aligned.
As part of this position, you will support the work of our international affairs to ensure that our international work is impactful in its reach, by ensuring our national work is sufficiently aligned with our international advocacy.
Engaging with international institutions such as the United Nations, you’ll represent Compassion at the highest levels, advocating for systemic policy changes that align with our mission. The role also involves developing robust systems for monitoring and evaluating our impact, ensuring we deliver measurable results that benefit animals, people, and the planet.

About you

Are you a digital fundraising expert passionate about making a real difference for animals in need? We are looking for a Senior Digital Fundraising Officer to join us at Mayhew.
We’re a passionate, committed and diverse team of c80 staff and c150 volunteers. We offer expert veterinary care, rescue and rehoming services, programmes in the community and guidance and support to improve the lives of dogs and cats in need.
Based in London with hybrid working opportunities, this role offers an exciting chance to combine creativity, strategy, and data-driven insights to support Mayhew’s vital work for dogs, cats, and communities in the UK, Afghanistan and Georgia.
This is a key role in the Fundraising Team at Mayhew helping to generate significant income from our digital audiences, ensuring they’re engaged with Mayhew and committed to supporting our aims to deliver greater impact for animals.
This role involves managing a range of fundraising campaigns across multiple digital channels– including social media, email and PPC, ensuring that campaign deadlines and income targets are met, and all activity is evaluated to drive future improvements.
The successful candidate will take a leading role in growing our supporter base through engaging digital acquisition activity, as well as maximising income through the cultivation of audiences already warm to Mayhew.
Our new Senior Digital Fundraising Officer must be experienced in planning and delivering fundraising campaigns across a range of online channels, with strong project management skills and experience in both acquisition and retention of donors, keeping them engaged via compelling fundraising communications. You will have an excellent understanding of digital fundraising, and hands-on experience of working with Facebook, PPC, email and web platforms.
You will be a strong multi-tasker, with the ability to hit deadlines. You will combine creativity with a solid foundation of technical and analytical skills and have proven experience in developing and delivering digital fundraising content.
Generally, you will be:
- Leading and delivering digital fundraising campaigns across paid social media, email, and PPC channels, including creative development, audience segmentation, testing and evaluation.
- Developing and implementing audience-focused acquisition and retention strategies to grow Mayhew’s supporter base and maximise income.
- Consistently produce, edit, and proofread engaging fundraising copy for digital campaigns and online content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with our objectives.
- Building engaging landing pages and ensuring our donation platform is functional, optimised, and user-friendly.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to improve donor journeys and online engagement.

To be successful in this role, you will:

About The Role
As the Global Head of Research and Policy (Campaigns), you will play a critical role in ending factory farming through policy development and championing scientific knowledge to bring about positive change. This is a senior leadership role, which involves managing the research team and leading on projects that deliver strategic policy recommendations, as well as assisting with technical knowledge on issues such as climate change, environmental pollution, and animal welfare. You will also represent Compassion at the highest levels, in technical forums such as the FAO, UNFCCC, and CBD processes.
This exciting position is responsible for delivering high-quality technical and policy resources, which support our campaigns and advocacy. You will work closely with the international affairs team and the Head of Research - Food Business, to ensure a collaborative and transparent research function across the organisation. By building partnerships and engaging with academic, governmental, and technical bodies, you will advocate for dismantling factory farming and transforming food systems.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a proven track record in applied scientific research or scientific analysis with a focus on translating evidence into actionable policy recommendations. Your expertise will include either extensive knowledge of global food systems and farmed animal welfare, or technical expertise in climate and environmental issues related to livestock. You will also be skilled at managing teams, condensing complex scientific information into clear messages, and advocating for systemic policy change at international levels. Your strong communication skills and strategic focus will allow you to inspire and influence diverse audiences. Ideally, you will also have experience of working with UN bodies and knowledge of aquaculture and its associated environmental issues.

The biggest environment and wildlife coalition in England is looking for a part-time skilled campaigning professional who can give a strong joint voice for nature at a crucial time.
You will be working with experts across the sector to deliver hard-hitting campaigning, engaging events and impactful, shareable content.
This is a unique and exciting role for someone with a keen eye for a story to turn vital policy and scientific thinking into eye-catching campaigning. You will be playing a big part in a small organisation while also delivering invaluable collaborative work on behalf of our huge network of 86 members. You will be working with household names like the RSPB, Butterfly Conservation and the National Trust, as well as a range of dynamic nature and animal welfare charities large and small.
Great campaigning and events experience, sharp writing skills, and excellent communication are more important than having worked in the sector before. So, if you are an experienced campaigner who is passionate about our natural world and is looking for a part-time role, then we want to hear from you. This is a part time (2.5 days a week) role, salary pro-rata.
