We have a new vacancy (18 month fixed term contract) for a full-time Service Development Project Manager to lead the scoping, design, and development of new areas within Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s services portfolio. This role will ensure that emerging services respond to identified needs, reflect best practice, and align with the charity’s strategic objectives to support everyone affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

Role Overview

You will lead on the scoping and exploration of new service areas, specifically children and young people, emotional wellbeing, diet, and fatigue. In doing so, you’ll gather and analyse insight from research, stakeholders, and lived experience to inform service design and ensure developments are evidence based and aligned with our strategy. You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, including policy and research, to ensure feedback is used to inform planning and supports delivery in their areas. Furthermore, you’ll be using your management skills to support and provide effective day to day leadership and coordination within the Services & Support team.

We are looking for someone with strong project management skills, who has experience of stakeholder engagement and an analytical skill set. You’ll have demonstrable experience of scoping, designing, and developing new services, programmes, or projects at a strategic level and experience of leading support services in a health charity

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in person days a year, including two Directorate meetings and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London.

What you will do:

The Investment Partnerships and Advisory manager will be responsible for day-to-day activities in relation to engaging with investors, business development and advisory project delivery work.

• Relationship management: nurturing new and ongoing relationships with investors and other key partners in the social investment ecosystem, including developing Advisory opportunities.
• Delivering advisory projects: delivering quality advice to clients, supporting them to progress on their impact investment activities. Projects may include landscape analysis, strategy development and/or the design of innovative investment solutions.
• Supporting the development of new market solutions: Helping develop creative and innovative solutions to social issues where social impact investment can be an important part of the solution.
• Market analysis: Undertaking detailed analysis of the market, prospective investors, and the financial, social impact and systems change cases of investment opportunities
• Stakeholder engagement: facilitating BSC’s participation in workshops, networking events, and other investor initiatives that help unlock more capital for impact.
• Content creation: originating and owning high quality, effective presentations, reports and pitch decks to showcase the value of social investment and present insights to investors.
• Internal stakeholder management: working closely with BSC’s investment and engagement groups to help bring insights & connections to BSC’s investment and market building activities.

Location: We are a UK-based business with an office in the Old Street area of London, accessible via a number of public transport links. Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Office Manager is responsible for the smooth running of our renovated, spacious open plan office, ensuring that it is welcoming, safe and inclusive.  The postholder will lead on day-to-day office management, health and safety, and contribute to a high-quality employee experience in the office and working from home. 

You should have demonstrable experience in office management and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly about, property and office facilities management. You will be confident in managing Health and Safety in the workplace and maintaining supplier relationships. A person-centre approach and strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to prioritise effectively, are also key. The role involves managing a small portfolio of non-office properties, so an understanding of landlord responsibilities would be an advantage. 

The role is part-time, 28 hours over 4 days per week. We would also be open to this being worked over 5 shorter days. The role is majority office based due to the responsibilities of the role, with a minimum 3 days per week in the office, with the option of some home working. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring in-person coverage across the working week in conjunction with a part-time Facilities and Office Assistant.

Fiduciary Risk Manager

The Role

A rare opportunity has arisen and we are expanding our Fiduciary Team. We are seeking to appoint a Fiduciary Risk Manager to join our established Fiduciary Risk team working on the financial management of funds and grants awarded to new and existing grantees. 

MannionDaniels seeks a Fiduciary Risk Manager to support the management of two funding rounds under the GSMA Innovation Fund:

· Mobile For Humanitarian funding round

· Impactful AI funding round

The fund works with tech start-ups Africa and Asia utilizing AI and mobile solutions for humanitarian impact. MannionDaniels have been contracted by GSMA to deliver this funding mechanism and works alongside the grant team in GSMA.

Within these two funding rounds, all grants have already been contracted and are in operation.  The role will primarily involve the management of a small portfolio of grantees, and leadership of a team of 2 Fiduciary Risk Officers who will manage grants covering the rest of the portfolio.

The Fund is funded by UK Aid from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and is supported by the GSMA and its members.

Reporting to the GSMA Team Lead, you will lead the management of the financial side of the grants and mitigating fiduciary risks. Experienced in financial review and reporting, you will conduct due diligence and use financial analysis to provide accurate, financial reports.

About you

You will be a Graduate with a minimum of 8 years’ experience or have comparable experience in a financial/fiduciary role and, be able to competently demonstrate the following.

• Lead on management of the Fund Manager’s portfolio in the GSMA Innovation Fund for Impactful AI and Mobil for Humanitarian
• Lead the financial side of the grant closure process
• Provide technical support for the grant management teams ensuring budget templates and financial reporting processes are understood and adhered to.
• Provide leadership to two Fiduciary Risk Officers.

Strong written and communication skills are a prerequisite, alongside proficient use of MS Office and advanced Excel.

Purpose of the Role

The Finance Manager leads the day‑to‑day financial operations of The Shewsy, ensuring our resources are managed effectively, transparently, and in line with our charitable objectives.

You will maintain reliable financial systems, develop clear reporting and analysis, and provide insight to senior leadership. This hands‑on role is essential to safeguarding the charity’s financial health, supporting funding bids, and enabling the continued delivery of our youth and community programmes.

Key Responsibilities (Shortened)

• Manage day‑to‑day finance operations, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, payroll journals, and supplier payments.
• Produce accurate month‑end accounts, financial summaries, and cashflow forecasts for the leadership team.
• Oversee income processes, including raising invoices, monitoring payments, and allocating restricted/unrestricted funds.
• Support funding bids and grants by preparing project budgets, tracking spend, and completing financial reporting for funders.
• Maintain strong financial controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth audit/independent examination processes.
• Improve finance systems and processes, ensuring they remain efficient, reliable, and fit for a busy youth charity.
• Work collaboratively with staff, offering financial guidance and supporting non‑finance colleagues where needed.

Knowledge, Experience & Attributes

Essential

• Experience in a finance role, including bookkeeping and month‑end preparation.
• Understanding of charity finance, including restricted vs unrestricted funds.
• Strong QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience.
• Ability to produce clear reports and communicate financial information.
• Highly organised, detail‑focused, and able to work independently.
• A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

Desirable

• Experience supporting grant reporting or charity audits.
• AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent (or working towards).
• Experience improving or developing financial systems.

 Key responsibilities of the Senior Fundraising Manager?

Strategic Leadership & Income Generation

• Follow the fundraising strategy, developing and executing annual plans to achieve revenue targets and diversify income streams.
• Oversee the growth of Individual Giving, Regular Giving, and In Memory Giving, and Community Fundraising initiatives.
• Design and implement targeted fundraising campaigns, leveraging insights and KPIs to maximise donor engagement and income.
• Promote fundraising opportunities across community networks, digital channels, individual giving portals, and public platforms.

2. Team Leadership & Management

• Manage and inspire a team of fundraising professionals, ensuring objectives, 1:1s, and appraisals are delivered in line with HR policy.
• Develop clear annual training, time management, and support plans for staff and volunteers.
• Provide day-to-day leadership to ensure high performance, accountability, and a collaborative working culture.

3. Volunteer Programme Oversight

• Oversee the ongoing development of the Hospice volunteer programme alongside the Volunteer Executive, ensuring effective recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention.
• Work directly with clinical teams to align volunteer support with operational needs, guaranteeing smooth running of hospice activities.
• Ensure all volunteers receive regular feedback and adhere to health and safety requirements.
• Maintain and develop the programme in line with Investing in Volunteers standards.

4. Donor Relations & Stakeholder Engagement

• Cultivate, steward, and strengthen long-term relationships with key donors, sponsors, community partners, and supporters.
• Support the delivery of fundraising events such as community fairs, and photography competitions, attracting large public support. Support the team during gala dinners and garden parties. Oversee the Events Executive in all areas of their role.
• Enhance the Hospice’s visibility and supporter engagement through partnership building and community presence.

5. Data, Finance & Compliance

• Ensure all donor and volunteer records are held and maintained under GDPR and internal data protection regulations.

About The Job:

This is a vital role in delivering our fundraising strategy and goals. The role holder will be responsible for raising income from individuals and legacies and increasing the volume and value of our supporter relationships, engaging new audiences and driving sustainable income growth. We will also trust the role holder to deliver fantastic supporter journeys and supporter experiences and contribute to the overall implementation of the Fundraising Team’s objectives.

Main Areas Of Responsibility:

Income Generation

· Lead on raising income to an agreed target, through acquisition, development and retention of individuals and legacy pledgers, as agreed with the Head of Fundraising and Communications.

Strategy

· Work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to build and deliver a highly effective, sustainable, audience-centred public fundraising and supporter experience plan.

· Engage in market and supporter insight to inform decision-making and development of new activity/products.

· Develop a good understanding of our supporter base, their motivations and behaviours. Use our CRM database (Raisers’ Edge NXT) and data analysis and insights to inform the development of new fundraising campaigns and products.

· Take the lead role in the development of effective supporter journeys, working with the Community Fundraising Team to convert community fundraisers and events participants into regular donors.

· Lead the design and delivery of individual giving campaigns (including the Christmas campaign), using direct mail, digital marketing and advertisements to drive supporter acquisition and retention.

· Develop and design our legacy programme, working with Farewill and local law firms to encourage supporters to include Homeless Oxfordshire in their will.

· Work with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to develop and deliver a mid-level giving programme, driving the major donor pipeline and effectively stewarding donors giving at the £300-£1,000 level.

Operational Delivery

· Be responsible for the setting and managing of budgets, targets and KPIs. Report on progress, trends and take action when required. Analyse results and evaluate activity to inform future plans.

· Act as the lead-user for Raisers’ Edge, supervise the Data Administrator to ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation, and support the team with reporting and data analysis.

· Work collaboratively to ensure that all income generation activity is integrated and opportunities for cross-team working are maximised.

· Develop processes that enhance the team’s capacity, efficiency, and ensure effective fundraising.

· Manage external partners and agencies involved in fundraising delivery, ensuring due diligence, high quality and effectiveness.

· Ensure the highest standard of supporter experience in order to make the most of every interaction.

· Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all areas of the public fundraising portfolio, including the Fundraising Code of Practice, Data Protection and Gift Aid. Model best practice and coach team member as required.

Leadership

· Line manage the Data Administrator, supporting them on reconciliation, data entry and gift processing.

· Provide management information for SMT and the Board of Trustees as requested and attending meetings when required.

· Build positive working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.

· Represent the charity at external meetings as and when required.

· Engage with the wider charity sector, learning from peers and sharing best practice.

We are recruiting for a new general manager post.

Our General Manager will be a key member of Different Planet Arts small staff team. Working closely with the Artistic Director and the Board of Trustees as part of the Senior Management Team, you will manage and organise operational support for Different Planet arts programme, ensuring we provide an excellent service to our participants, partners and audiences. This role is suitable for someone building a career in operations.

We are looking for someone who can maintain and provide the right systems and structures to enable others to lead and create our arts projects, and provide ongoing, efficient admin support. You will manage and be responsible for our systems and processes for financial administration, fundraising, governance procedures and processes, monitoring and keeping the Different Planet Arts office running day-to-day as an administrative hub. You will work closely with our treasurer (who is responsible for creating quarterly Management Accounts.) 

This is an ideal role for someone with strong administrative or company management experience who wants to help shape the culture and infrastructure of our much loved award winning inclusive theatre company. 

The strategic growth manager is responsible for creating and carrying out business development work across the charity, with a primary focus on grants and public sector tender opportunities, as well as managing a team with their own growth targets in distinct areas. They report in to the Deputy Charity Director.

All the tasks carried out in this role will contributeto the core purpose of the charity, enabling us to transform the access to and experience of mental health support, for young people.
