Job Title: Safe Ground Programmes Manager
Location: Based within HMP Forest Bank, Manchester. Step Free access is not available at this service. You may be expected to travel to other services as required, including to Central London Central Office and for in-person meetings held off site. Hybrid working is permitted with an option of up to 2 days working from home when appropriate.
Salary: £36,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:30. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service and organisational requirements, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays and forming part of the out of hours on call rota for managers.
About the Role
We are seeking a Safe Ground Programmes Manager to lead our newest family service based in HMP Forest Bank. This is an ideal opportunity if you are seeking a hands on role within a prison setting, are confident working in complex environments, and want to create meaningful change within punitive systems. You will lead a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, therapeutically informed, arts-based work with men in prison and their families. You will work directly with participants to deliver structured group programmes and provide relational, anti-shame, anti-punitive support in a custodial environment.
In this role, you will support the leadership of the service, providing line management and oversight to ensure high quality delivery for our participants. The team delivers our NFI‑approved national programmes, Fathers Inside and Man Up, designs bespoke visits and family interventions, and develops a new, dynamic counselling provision. The role requires leadership experience managing a diverse team, with line management responsibilities to support, enable, and empower staff to deliver high‑quality support to participants and their families. You will work closely with prison and Sodexo colleagues, as well as internal SIG teams, to ensure innovative, safe, anti‑punitive service delivery.

We are looking for an experienced senior fundraiser to join our small and friendly fundraising and communications team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of mid-value supporters, delivering tailored stewardship, personalised communications, meetings, events and digital engagement that demonstrate impact, strengthen relationships and enhance the supporter experience.
- Design and implement segmented donor journeys and cultivation strategies that move supporters from mass fundraising communications to more personalised engagement, identifying opportunities to increase giving through appeals and special funding opportunities.
- Use donor insight, data analysis and supporter behaviour to monitor engagement and retention, reducing attrition, increasing lifetime value, and identifying supporters with the potential to upgrade their giving and progress towards major donor status.
- Develop, manage, and grow a small portfolio of corporate supporters, identifying and securing new fundraising opportunities including sponsorship, employee fundraising, and cause-related marketing initiatives.
- Manage the legacy giving programme, overseeing legacy administration and delivering targeted marketing and stewardship activities to raise awareness, generate enquiries and encourage supporters to leave a gift in their Will.
- Ensure all fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation, data protection requirements, fundraising regulations and organisational policies.
- Maintain accurate supporter records and activity tracking within the CRM system.
Personal Specification
- A proven track record in fundraising
- Ability to think strategically to identify potential donors, prioritise efforts and develop effective fundraising strategies. This includes analysing data, assessing donor potential and adapting approaches based on feedback and results.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain donor relationships and understand donor motivations and interests.
- Excellent written skills with an ability to craft compelling and personalised proposals, with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Confident and comfortable making telephone calls and meeting donors in person as a key part of relationship building and stewardship.
- Strong collaborative skills as a team player, whilst also able to work autonomously initiating and driving tasks as a self-starter.
- Experience using CRM systems and supporter data to drive fundraising performance.
- An understanding of the challenges facing doctors and medical students, including mental health and workplace pressures would be desirable.

Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications and working alongside a delivery manager, this new fixed term role will be a crucial colleague helping us to deliver a new network wide communications platform. We are seeking an experienced mental health manager to join our exciting new project, working with those engaging in gambling harms behaviours and affected others. Drive is a high risk / high harm domestic abuse perpetration intervention. Its sole aim is to reduce the risk posed by those using high levels of harm towards family members and / or (ex) partners. This is achieved via disruption, diversion and direct behaviour change work, where safe to do so, within a multi-agency framework.
The Case Manager will strive to work one-to-one with perpetrators who have been identified as high risk to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and connect with complementary services. To do this, the Case Manager will work with local agencies to design a co-ordinated, strategic individual intervention plan to address identified needs and risks and promote understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours. However, it may not always be safe or possible to meet with the perpetrator. Equally as vital to risk reduction efforts is analysis of presenting information to identify ways to disrupt their abusive behaviour, alongside close-knit multiagency working to implement actions.
Throughout all intervention the Drive Case Manager will work closely with the local IDVA service to review risk, develop safety plans and improve outcomes for all parties involved.
The Case Manager will be responsible for delivering outcomes, working typically for up to 12 months to achieve behaviour change with each Service User.
About you
You’ll have a deep understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on clients and children, as well as the reasons behind abusive behaviours towards intimate partners.
Your knowledge extends to the range of statutory and voluntary agencies that clients and their children may encounter, and you are aware of the impact of domestic abuse on children and parenting, including the additional needs of clients from BMER communities.
You will have experience in working with clients on issues of domestic abuse, providing one-to-one and group support and advice, managing your own workload and administration, and assessing the risk and safety of your clients and those connected to your client. You will have handled safeguarding disclosures and referrals, and you communicate clearly with a range of people both over the telephone and in person.
You will be organised, able to use your initiative, and work effectively as part of a multi-service team. Your administrative skills are strong, and you are adept at using a computer to maintain effective systems.

The Drive Partnership, formed by Respect, SafeLives and Social Finance, is working to transform the national response to perpetrators of domestic abuse. You will have:

A track record in Trust & Grant success: pulling together compelling data and case studies to write winning bids for large-scale grants.

Exceptional written skills for drafting persuasive proposals and impact reports.

A love of data to oversee our fundraising pipeline using our CRM (Beacon), working with organised spreadsheets, and clear, achievable timelines.

The Role
Your core focus will balance bid writing with strategy and comms management:

Securing Income: Crafting and submitting high-quality, persuasive trust and grant applications (targeting five- and six-figure funding) and managing timely reports back to our current partners.

Managing the Pipeline: Working closely with the CEO to track our fundraising goals, manage cash flow awareness, and keep our CRM system (Beacon) up to date.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in an ambitious growth phase. Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you will lead a small but talented team and oversee a dynamic major gifts programme.
You will be joining a team with strong foundations for success: a clear three-year plan, a loyal base of major donors, growing regular giving and legacy programmes, and strong support from senior University leadership. This is a high-impact role focused on securing major and transformative gifts, working closely with senior stakeholders across the institution to champion philanthropy and inspire support.
We are looking for a driven and inspiring fundraising leader with a track record of securing six-figure gifts within the higher education or charity sectors. You will be motivated by the difference philanthropy makes in higher education, enabling transformative opportunities in education and research that change lives and shape society.
You will bring exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to craft compelling, tailored cases for support. You will be confident using data to inform prospect strategy and pipeline development, and experienced in CRM systems, donor cultivation, and stewardship. Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence and collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders will be essential.
Above all, you will be strategic, proactive, and growth-focused—able to identify and secure philanthropic opportunities aligned with the University’s priorities, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
