*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £27,694 to £43,642. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of £30,463 depending on the candidate's skills and experience. Context and purpose of role

This role will support the People and Culture team in providing a high-quality people experience for volunteers and employees. This role is far more than just administration.

You’ll be a pivotal member of the team, being highly organised, flexible and supporting team members to achieve their objectives, whilst consistently maintaining high levels of customer service to the whole organisation.

Key responsibilities

Operational excellence

· To lead and deliver outstanding administration and advisory support throughout the journey of all employees and volunteers at the Ramblers.

· Proactively respond to first line internal and external queries, seek a resolution and (where needed) refer to appropriate person in the team.

· Engage and proactively develop excellent working relationships with employees and volunteers across the organisation.

· Proactively manage all data in our People systems, ensuring complete accuracy.

Employee and volunteer journey

Coordinate all aspects of the employee and volunteer journey including:

· Deliver and support a sector-leading recruitment and onboarding experience for all our volunteers and employees in conjunction with key stakeholders across the Ramblers.

· Management and development of our application tracking system to attract key talent.

· Coordinate resources to ensure relevant materials are available to support volunteers, employees and their managers throughout their Ramblers journey.

· Responsible for supporting the performance management and development of our people.

· Manage the learning and development platform and support learning and development projects and activities.

People systems and data management

· Ensure that all people related documentation is completed accurately and stored appropriately.

· To manage the input and maintenance of people data on relevant systems, ensuring that records are accurate, updated and errors identified and resolved.

· To ensure the processes, tools and resources available on Rambler’s systems are accurate, user friendly and support a great user experience.

· Input, manage and interpret data to support the creation of reports to enable data led decision making.

· Support the co-ordination of our people surveys and action plans.

Payroll and contractual

· Responsible for the collation, preparation and checking of payroll information for all new starter and leaver information, pay changes, position changes etc, for submission to payroll for processing.

· Maintain good knowledge and understanding of all relevant policies and procedures relevant to the role and keep up to date with employment legislation.

· Responsible for the administration of our benefits programme.

Co-ordination activities

· Assist in preparing notes, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets as required

· Manage the team inbox(s), logging, dealing with and responding to queries regarding people opportunities, work experience, feedback, etc. and referring relevant queries to other colleagues or teams as appropriate.

· Provide administrative support for larger team projects and activity, for example, employee surveys or volunteer recognition events.

· Support the creation and development of inspirational employee and volunteer events and meetings.

· Create peer support opportunities for employees and volunteers so that they can share experiences and learn from each other.

General

· Undertake such other duties as may be required of the post.

· Maintain a consistently high level of service to our customers. Ensure high levels of confidentiality and credibility are always delivered, whilst being both proactive to the Ramblers needs, priorities, and deadlines.

· We operate a hybrid working model. The postholder will be expected to attend our London Bridge office for up to two days each month to take part in team meetings and collaborative working. There is also the opportunity to work from the office on additional days if preferred.

Knowledge and Experience

· Experience of working as a people or volunteering assistant role in a fast-paced business.

· Experience of administering payroll.

About this role

The Finance Assistant plays a key role in supporting the Head of Finance to maintain the organisation’s financial health, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of day-to-day finance operations.

The Finance Assistant will be line managed by the Head of Finance. They will also work closely with the Finance Officer, Chief Executive Officer, The Fundraising Team, notably the Database and Insight Officer, as well as the wider casework team, Fellows and consultants. They will lead on paying Fellows, consultants and other contractors, as well as suppliers.

They will support the reconciliation of Reprieve’s financial accounts and ensure that transactions recorded in Iplicit are accurately reflected in other organisational systems, investigating and resolving any discrepancies as required.

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical finance skills with a proactive and collaborative approach. You will be committed to Reprieve’s goals, highly organised and able to manage competing priorities while delivering accurate work to tight deadlines. You will be comfortable working with financial data, using systems such as Iplicit and Excel, and translating complex information into clear, practical messages for colleagues across the organisation. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential, as is a willingness to undertake routine tasks that support the effective running of the finance function. A relevant accountancy qualification would be an advantage, but we welcome applications from candidates with equivalent experience.

Terms

This is a full-time role on a 12-month fixed term contract. The salary is £32,696, per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work 40% per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. There aren’t many organisations that can say they’ve been serving their community for over 550 years. Croydon Almshouses (CA) can and we’re proud to be the oldest charity in Croydon, rooted in a long-standing commitment to local people and place.

Since 1447, we’ve provided almshouse accommodation to older people with a connection to Croydon who are negatively affected by poverty. For the past 40 years, we’ve also awarded grants to voluntary, community and faith sector organisations, and individuals across the Borough.

To help us deliver this, we’re recruiting an experienced Executive Assistant to the CEO, who is a values-led team player, who demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills to support the CEO to fulfil her responsibilities and enhance her effectiveness.

· Significant experience of working as a EA to a senior executive/ CEO

· Experience of working within the HR field

· Experience of managing a small budget

· Experience of diary management

The Individual Giving Assistant is responsible for managing the operational and reporting elements of our individual giving activities which include: online donations, legacies, our Name a Seat scheme, one-off donations from audiences and on-site visitor donations.

Digital Fundraising Assistant

You'll play a key role in helping to deliver digital fundraising activity, managing supporter communications and ensuring campaigns run smoothly from start to finish.

The Role

As the Digital Fundraising Assistant, you will:

• Support the planning, delivery and administration of digital fundraising campaigns and virtual fundraising activities.

• Help manage supporter communications across email, social media and other digital channels.

• Create and schedule engaging digital content to promote fundraising campaigns and encourage participation.

• Provide excellent supporter care, responding to fundraising enquiries and ensuring supporters feel valued throughout their journey.

• Assist with digital marketing activity, monitoring campaign performance and identifying opportunities to improve engagement.

• Maintain and update supporter records within the CRM, ensuring accurate data management.

• Coordinate fundraising resources, supporter packs and recognition materials where required.

• Assist with financial administration, including processing invoices and tracking expenditure.

• Keep up to date with digital fundraising trends and contribute new ideas to enhance future campaigns.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Experience supporting fundraising, marketing or digital campaigns, ideally within the charity sector.

• An understanding of digital fundraising and supporter engagement.

• Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.

• Experience managing social media content across a range of platforms.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.

• Experience using CRM systems and maintaining accurate supporter data.

• A collaborative approach and a passion for delivering excellent supporter experiences.

YMCA England & Wales is entering one of the most exciting chapters in its fundraising history, launching our ambition to create 10,000 new homes for young people. Working alongside local YMCAs, we will support the development of new accommodation across the federation, helping young people move towards independence.

This role sits at the heart of that ambition.

You will lead the fundraising behind two critical components of the 10,000 Homes programme:
• Securing income from the public to build and sustain a central Centre of Expertise (mobilisation team), supporting local YMCAs to develop and deliver housing projects.
• Raising capital from individual supporters, mid-level donors and major donors to grow a replenishing national fund that provides upfront investment to unlock housing developments across the federation.

At the centre of this is the 10,000 Homes Fund: a bold, housing-focused proposition that offers the public a clear and tangible way to support young people into safe, stable accommodation. You will be responsible for growing this proposition, ensuring it resonates strongly with supporters and inspires giving at all levels.

You will lead an integrated public fundraising approach, bringing together individual giving, mid-level and major donors into one compelling, housing-led narrative. A key part of the role will be translating a complex, federated model into a simple, emotional and compelling case for support that connects with people’s motivations to give.

We’ve established strong early foundations and are now ready to scale. This role offers the opportunity to take a high-potential public fundraising proposition to the next level -expanding its reach, deepening supporter engagement, and unlocking significant new income.

The role

As Assistant Head of Fundraising (Public Fundraising), you will lead and inspire a team of talented fundraisers, deputising for the Head of Fundraising and taking ownership of our most ambitious programmes:

The 10,000 Homes Fund driving forward our flagship proposition across individual giving, cash appeals and mid-level audiences.

Major Donors shaping the strategy for high-net-worth relationships, new giving circles and development boards.

RoomSponsor, YMCA’s flagship regular giving product, now in its third year of an ambitious growth strategy. You will oversee a unique partnership model across 45 local YMCAs, support the income distribution process, and see first-hand the impact of your work through a programme that directly supports young people with safe accommodation.

Legacies working with the Senior Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising to define and grow what is set to become a landmark legacy programme.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you will set direction, manage budgets, develop your team, while also being prepared to step into delivery when it matters most. You will balance strategic oversight with practical execution, ensuring programmes are both ambitious and deliverable.
