The Communications Assistant is an integral role, supporting the Director and teams to successfully deliver on ambitious objectives. We’re looking for a detailed and efficient self-starter who can turn their hand to database management, diary management, sending out press releases and offering support to the Communications Director, the RCR’s President and also the Chief Executive.
As Communications Assistant you will be able to manage a varied workload in this multi-faceted role, whilst also being able to learn huge amounts about communications, digital and public affairs. You will have demonstratable knowledge, interest, or experience of working within a Communications team, and have strong communication skills, with an understanding of how to effectively support senior executives.
What you’ll do
- Update the communications planner and other organisational tools
- Assist with draft press releases – seeking amends and securing sign off
- Draft and/or copy edit basic copy for relevant RCR communications as directed.
- Support an asset management system, ensuring that we have permissions for case studies, photographs and other assets
- Send out emails on request
- Produce powerpoint presentations and other assets as required
- Undertake other general administration for the directorate including processing invoices, bookings and arranging meetings, etc.
- Provide support to the President, particularly around the Annual Dinner and Annual Drinks Reception, managing the invite list, sending out invitations and co-ordinating the event
- Provide some light support to the Executive Director, Communications by processing expenses, organising meetings, making travel/accommodation arrangements

Role Description
The Head of Marketing & Communications is responsible for: providing strategic and creative leadership to build Clore Social Leadership’s profile and brand; achieving revenue and participant targets; and building engagement campaigns to support our work. This includes:
- Growing revenue streams and audience size and engagement by developing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns for our expanding range of leadership development programmes and products.
- Working collaboratively across the organisation on profile and engagement building activities. This includes showcasing programme and participant impact, developing and delivering an alumni relations strategy, as well as developing and project managing campaigns and events aligned to organisational goals.
- Collaborating with the CEO and the Director of Development to support the establishment of commercial partnerships with promotional assets.
- Growing and protecting the Clore Social Leadership brand, acting as the brand guardian across the organisation.
- Contributing to digital transformation, working across the organisation to ensure that digital platforms are used and maximised as a marketing and analytical tool, as well as provide the best possible user experience.

Hours and place of work
This is a full-time role to be fulfilled over a 35-hour week, within core working hours (Mon-Fri, 10am–4pm UK time), with flexibility as required.
This is a hybrid role with one day a week in our shared office space in London (Better Space, 127 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3DA), the travel costs of which must be covered by the individual. We are open to discussing this arrangement further to accommodate individual needs and preferences.
Further UK travel will be required on occasion, the costs of which would be covered by Clore Social Leadership.
Terms, pay and benefits
- This is a permanent contract.
- Salary for this role will be £45,000 - £50,000.
- The post holder is entitled to 25 days of annual leave, in addition to UK statutory holidays.
- The office is closed for one week during the winter festive period (25-31 December), providing an additional three days of annual leave in addition to the above allocation.
- You have the option to join our contributory pension scheme. The employer's contribution is 3% with a minimum employee contribution of 5%.

Position of Head of Communications

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join us in the role of Head of Communications. This varied role offers the successful candidate a key position at WFN, leading on setting and implementing WFN’s annual Communications & Engagement Strategy, and supporting on charity and Award winner (grantee) PR. The Head of Communications is responsible for digital communications (including website, e-letters, video and social media), printed publications, and branding. They report to the Director, work in tandem with the Head of Media Relations, and will receive day-to-day support with social media and production of digital and event materials from the Communications Assistant, who they also line manage. They regularly assist in helping organise exciting events, such as our annual Whitley Awards Ceremony as well as timely communications campaigns relevant to the environment sector.

About the role
Our influencing work is changing the UK conversation about domestic abuse, with both national and locally based elected representatives and the officials and colleagues who work alongside them. Our PPAC Officer, reporting to the PPAC Manager, will be crucial in helping us to develop our engagement, as well as deepen our policy influencing capacity to support our roll-out of ground-breaking interventions to end domestic abuse and ensure support for the whole family to keep people safe sooner.

IVAR (The Institute for Voluntary Action Research) is looking for a new Director of Communications who will be responsible for leading and developing our approach to strategic communications.
About the role
Working closely with the Director of Research and the research team, you will lead the articulation, presentation and dissemination of learning, insights and messages from our diverse portfolio of projects, supporting the continuous improvement of writing and research communications, and ensuring our work has the greatest possible impact.
As Director of Communications, you will be expected to work closely with the Director – who leads IVAR’s work with funders and supervises a range of individual projects – to help IVAR achieve its potential to influence and shape the operating environment for small charities.

Our newly launched Deforestation Action Tracker monitors financial institutions with significant climate commitments to track their action on deforestation and associated human rights abuses.

Working as part of the Uptake workstream within Corporate Performance, and also as part of the Global Canopy Communications team, you will take responsibility for leading all aspects of public relations for the programme - press, media, events, promotion and publicity.

THE ROLE: The Director is responsible for the overall running of Maa Shanti. This includes supporting and managing staff, developing strategy, operational management, contract management, service development, training, consultancy, partnership working, safeguarding and child protection, HR, recruitment, finance, fundraising, marketing and social media. Some of these activities (e.g. fundraising and social media) are delegated to staff members with guidance and direction from the Director. THE COMPANY: Maa Shanti supports South Asian mothers who are impacted by domestic abuse. Our aim is to reduce isolation, and increase confidence, knowledge and skills for our services users. We do this by improving access to activities, education and employment and through the provision of advocacy and support (both in person and remotely). We run a busy programme of events, workshops and events which includes e.g. yoga, mindfulness, cooking, vocabulary groups, arts and crafts, excursions and children’s activities during school holidays. The charity was founded in Islington as a grassroots
organisation in 2004 and has grown in strength and size in the last 20 years. We currently have 6 members of staff working for the charity.
