About the role
Here at Fire Fighters Charity, we are here to help all serving and retired member of the UK’s fire family to live healthier and happier lives.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and relationship-focused individual to engage and inspire Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (FRS) personnel, community groups, corporate partners, and volunteers to support the charity through fundraising and advocacy. The role involves delivering presentations, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, and building strong partnerships to drive income growth and community engagement.
You will provide excellent supporter care, offering guidance, resources, and encouragement to ensure supporters feel valued and motivated. The position also includes identifying new fundraising opportunities, attending events, and promoting the charity’s campaigns through a range of channels to raise awareness of its mission.
With responsibility for meeting fundraising targets, maintaining accurate CRM records, and producing activity reports, you will play a key role in supporting sustainable income growth. You will ensure all activities align with charity policies, data protection requirements, and sector best practice, while consistently promoting the organisation’s values in all aspects of your work.
You will be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and CRM platforms, with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload effectively. A flexible and resilient attitude is essential, along with a willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends and to travel as required.
This role is subject to a Basic DBS check.
About You
We are looking for an organised and motivated individual with effective communication skills and a professional approach.
Our ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of fundraising practices, relevant legal requirements, and data protection principles, alongside experience of supporting income generation and delivering against plans and targets. You will also need experience in managing multiple projects, keeping records and adhering to deadlines.
The role requires a proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including volunteers, FRS personnel and members of the public.
You will need to work both independently and as part of a team, and will have a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, supporting fundraising initiatives, and contributing to the overall success of the charity.

Main Purpose Of The Job:
The Events and Community Fundraiserwill take responsibility for the planning and delivery of Homeless Oxfordshire’s events and third party events, and provide exceptional care to our community fundraisers. Working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager and Partnerships Fundraising Manager and the wider Fundraising and Communiations team, they will plan and run a calendar of events to engage our community and corporate supporters, as well as the general public, with the aim of raising money for and awareness Homeless Oxfordshire.
They will work with the Community Fundraising Manager to develop and build relationships with community and corporate supporters, and give talks to community groups (schools, faith groups, local organisations etc.) to encourage their support for the charity.
Main Areas Of Responsibility:
Events Planning And Delivery
· Oversee planning and delivery of our community and corporate events including the Golf Day, Race Across Oxfordshire, the Business Breakfast, HOxStock, and the Thank You event.
· Liaise with venues, suppliers and contractors to ensure all events are well planned and professionally run.
· Manage all event communications, from invitations, registration, to event day and follow up, ensuring an excellent support journey throughout.
· Support the Community Fundraising Manger on third party events, including Homeless Oxfordshire’s participation in the Oxford Half Marathon, the London Marathon, London to Brighton bike ride and other challenge events.
· Manage and plan event day activity at third party challenge events.
· Support community groups who are running their own “in aid of” events for Homeless Oxfordshire, providing materials and promotion and attending events where appropriate.
· Ensure timely communications and stewardship of all challenge event participants.
Community Fundraising
· Support the Community Fundraising Manager to research and identify community fundraising prospects, and deliver communications and approaches to engage schools, colleges, faith groups and other community organisations.
· Give talks to community groups (schools, faith groups, local organisations etc.) to encourage their support for the charity and represent Homeless Oxfordshire at community fundraising events.
· Support the Partnership Fundraising Manager to steward employee fundraising activities e.g. bake sales, Giftmas collections etc.
· Work with HR and the Community Fundraising Manager to recruit and manage Community Fundraising Volunteers who can give talks to community groups.
· Work with the Community Fundraising Manager and Marketing and Communications Manager to develop presentations and resources to enable volunteers to represent Homeless Oxfordshire at community events.
· Oversee the administration linked to community fundraisers, including updating the database with communications and monitoring and managing fundraising materials.
· Support community fundraisers to use and register on third party platforms e.g. JustGiving, Enthuse, providing encouragement and tips for securing sponsorship and funding.
· Ensure timely and professional communication and interaction with community supporters, and prompt thanking of fundraisers and donors.
· Take responsibility for responding to/redirecting all emails to the shared fundraising inbox.
· Undertake other relevant duties, supporting the Fundraising and Communications team as required.

About the role
The focus of the role will be on digital campaigns and organising and promoting fundraising events to generate new income streams for the charity. The Fundraiser will build on relationships with existing donors and corporate sponsors and establish further networks of supporters, raising the profile of Staying Put and securing further funding.
Other areas of the role will include identifying and submitting applications for prizes and awards, preparing funding proposals, helping to shape the fundraising strategic plan and reporting on the success of campaigns.
Part-time, 18.75 hours per week, over 3 days. £30,900 FTE per annum.
About you
We are looking for someone with significant experience in a fundraiser role who has proven knowledge and examples of running and evaluating digital fundraising campaigns. Knowledge of domestic abuse and sexual violence, the impact it has on victims and issues they face, would be an advantage.
Our ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence and persuade new and existing supporters of Staying Put. You will need to be a self-starter with excellent communication skills. Our ideal candidate will be able to problem solve in dynamic situations and have a creative approach to income generation.
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic fundraiser who can generate, develop and run fun and interesting campaigns and events that will create buy-in across a range of audiences.
You will be able to work with initiative, have a high level of self motivation with a “can-do” attitude but who can recognise, work with and develop their strengths within a team.

Just like our care, our relationships with supporters are individual and with your excellent interpersonal skills and sensitive manner, you will focus on building warm, meaningful relationships with supporters, creating positive experiences at every touchpoint and inspiring people to consider leaving a gift in their will. You will nurture existing legacy supporters, grow new audiences and contribute to engaging campaigns, events and community partnerships that promote legacy giving. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Fundraiser to join our Fundraising and Communications Team for a two-year contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering a diverse and engaging programme of events at a pivotal time for the charity, as we build towards our next large-scale art trail in 2028 following the success of Elmer’s Big Parade Blackpool.
In this role, you will support the development, planning and delivery of a wide range of fundraising events across the Fylde coast. You will take ownership of key events within the portfolio, managing everything from initial planning and promotion through to on-the-day delivery and post-event evaluation. Your work will ensure that every event is safe, well organised and provides an exceptional experience for participants and supporters.

Are you looking for a role where you can use your fundraising experience and expertise to support an end to homelessness through community engagement fundraising?
We are looking for a Community Fundraising Coordinator to join the Mungo’s Community and Events team. This new post will play a vital role in managing, developing and growing community engagement, awareness and fundraising.
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for managing and developing the community fundraising portfolio for St Mungo’s on a national scale. This will include working alongside community groups, clubs and associations, schools and faith groups as well as individual fundraisers. You will also lead on new projects attached to community fundraising which can increase our profile and income levels. Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop our community fundraising programme, taking ownership and managing new community fundraising initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of a range of fundraising activities, whilst nurturing current supporter relationships and developing new fundraising opportunities and networks.
- Engage and build strong relationships with community fundraisers / organisations. Developing supporter engagement through regular check in’s, face to face meetings, presentations and attendance of events.
- Support the growth of our national fundraising activities, by recruiting supporters and building an on the ground fundraising volunteer team.
Where you’ll be working
In this role you will work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in London. Travel across London and regions in the South of England is also required.
This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for hybrid working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.
Due to the nature of the role, some evening and weekends will also be required to oversee relevant events. Out of hours work will be offered back in the form of time off in lieu.
While our Central Office is currently based in Tower Hill, London we plan to relocate in the summer of 2026 to a new space in Farringdon, London.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in community, corporate, or philanthropy fundraising. Experience in volunteering, social value or community engagement sectors would also be beneficial.
You will:
- Be comfortable managing income, working with a target driven approach while demonstrating success in growing income from supporters.
- Enjoy building strong, lasting relationships with supporters and volunteers, engaging with a variety of people, and working closely within the local community and seeking out opportunities to engage our fundraisers in St Mungo's work.
- Be ready to take ownership of new and creative fundraising initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines.
- Show a willingness to work as part of a team and support a wide range of fundraising activities across the calendar year.
