As Administration and Membership Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the Neurological Alliance runs smoothly, efficiently and professionally. You will support strong governance, effective membership engagement and well-run meetings and events, helping to ensure that lived experience, evidence and collective expertise shape health and care policy.

This is a practical, admin-led role with real responsibility and autonomy. You will manage day-to-day administration, support the Board and members, maintain accurate records and systems, and ensure financial and membership processes run effectively. In doing so, you will help amplify the voices of people affected by neurological conditions and our member organisations.

This role would suit someone looking for a meaningful, flexible part-time position where their work directly supports collaboration, influence and change. The role is home-based, with occasional travel for team meetings (around once every two months) and infrequent external meetings.

Key responsibilities

The role includes:

You will be the architect of this new HNWI income stream - researching, qualifying, and securing transformational gifts from scratch.

While philanthropy experience is essential for this role, you will also collaborate with our Development Manager to oversee our established T&F portfolio. We are predominantly seeking strong philanthropy specialists and are happy to provide training on grant applications where needed.

Responsibilities

• Establish the HNWI Pipeline by leading the proactive research and identification of new UK-based major donors. You will manage the full prospect lifecycle, from cold outreach and initial "discovery" meetings to the final ask and bespoke stewardship.

• Conceptualise, launch, and manage a new donor circle (e.g., an 'Impact Club') to create a structured engagement programme for mid to high-level supporters alongside the Co-Executive Director.

Qualifications

Essential:

• You bring 3+ years of philanthropy/fundraising experience, ideally within an NGO or a related field.

• You possess demonstrable experience in identifying and opening doors to new HNWI prospects rather than just managing an inherited portfolio.

• You are a skilled verbal communicator with the ability to lead virtual and in-person meetings with gravitas, communicating ProVeg UKs work with donors and partners in inspiring, creative, and persuasive ways.

• You possess excellent written communication skills to write inspiring, persuasive content.

• You bring an entrepreneurial mindset, and can think creatively to find new solutions to challenges. 

• You are a competent project manager, able to meet deadlines and manage a varied and fast-paced workload.

JOB PURPOSE

This role sits within The Passage Housing Needs Service (HNS) team. It will provide brief interventions to support individuals who have been placed into accommodation by the HNS team to settle into and sustain their tenancies. The post holder will work holistically to assist individuals to address issues that are impacting on their ability to sustain their accommodation on a time limited basis and will link them into services in their local areas for ongoing support in order for them to gain independence and integrate into their new communities.

MAIN TASKS

• To provide support to individuals who are moving into their new private rented sector accommodation where appropriate and needed. This can include setting up utilities, council tax among other things.
• To support individuals accommodated by the HNS team, in a brief solution focused manner, to find solutions to their housing, benefits, health and other issues when they arise, referring clients to support services, liaising with these, and following up in a timely manner.
• To establish and develop positive and constructive working relationships with a range of services and agencies across London boroughs that can provide support to our clients ensuring the best possible outcomes for them.
• To draw up psychologically informed action plans for clients ensuring they are person centered and taking into consideration the clients’ views.
• Support HNS Workers to complete exit questionnaires to gather feedback and promote co production with the individuals the team supports.
• To ensure that any health and safety and safeguarding concerns are reported appropriately using the correct systems.

Summary of the role: 

The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. They will be accountable for growing and sustaining revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded.

The role includes mentoring and leading Management, supporting them to implement effective fundraising activity, achieve ambitious income and renewal targets year on year, and deliver high-quality stewardship experiences for supporters.

About the Role:

1. Design and deliver MA’s cross organisational fundraising and marketing strategy with a focus on sustainable and reliable unrestricted income generation. This will include key activities, areas of required investment, KPIs and milestones as well as the projected growth of fundraising income
2. Increase and diversify existing and new revenue streams specifically digital, CSR and private philanthropy.
3. Drive delivery against income targets by setting clear, ambitious, and achievable operational targets for each income stream, ensuring teams are supported to meet objectives aligned with Muslim Aid’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
4. Provide effective marketing leadership for the organisation in collaboration with key stakeholders and drive forward transformational integrated marketing activities and campaigns.
5. Provide inspiring and motivating values-driven leadership to the team that enables them to deliver their goals and achieve their potential.
6. Build on the areas of High Net Worth and CSR in regards to income generated from corporate, major donor and trusts so that these areas become part of our sustainable fundraising foundation.

Founded in 2018, Let’s Talk About Loss supports young adults aged 18–35 who are bereaved, creating safe, supportive spaces to talk openly about grief. We are a small, values-led charity with a national reach, built on the power of community, peer support and shared experience.

In this pivotal role, you’ll bring communities, healthcare partners and local insight together to dismantle barriers, build trust, and shape a model that could change outcomes across the UK.

What the job involves

As the Project Manager, you’ll lead an innovative pilot designed to tackle late diagnosis of prostate cancer in Black men. Day to day, you’ll shape and deliver a regional model that breaks down systemic barriers to early diagnosis - from coordinating the unification of efforts to address drivers of inequity in prostate cancer to establishing a new bridging fund to support cross-sector partnerships. You’ll work closely with community organisations, Primary Care Networks and NHS stakeholders, bringing people together to build trust and drive practical, measurable improvements.

What we want from you

You’ll be someone who cares deeply about health equity and is motivated by making real change happen for Black men in prostate cancer. We’re looking for someone who has experience designing or delivering community‑based health projects and feels confident working across sectors to build strong, equitable partnerships. You’ll bring strategic thinking, the ability to turn insight into action, and the communication skills to engage, influence and inspire. You’ll be comfortable managing timelines, budgets and reporting impact, and you’ll bring a strong understanding of public health, health equity or programme management. Myaware is a charity dedicated to ensuring that all people living with or alongside myasthenia can live well, now and in the future. We are looking to expand our impactful welfare rights advice service and an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team.

You would be working with our Professional Services/Welfare Rights Manager to advise our members on their welfare rights.  You would also work closely with our National Support Service Team who provide a listening ear and advice on living with myasthenia for our members as they navigate their diagnosis and live with the condition.

The role 

As Welfare Rights Adviser, you will support our Professional Services/Welfare Rights Manager in delivering advice to members of myaware via telephone, email, Teams and Zoom channels.  You will provide detailed benefit checks and advice and support with disability benefit applications, supersessions, reviews and mandatory reconsiderations/appeals.  You will also advise on employment law, including the Equality Act and right to reasonable adjustments at work, driving and transport, heath and social care, housing rights, grants and utility discounts.  You will provide initial advice and signposting for other areas.such as financial advice and immigration queries.

You will also be required to support Zoom sessions for members, create social media posts, write newsletter content and support our research and campaigning work.

We require someone with a background of welfare rights advice who is compassionate, non-judgmental and who can listen and communicate to a high standard. This role is for someone who is a team player, with a commitment to providing an excellent service to all members, no matter who they are and what their background. Who are we? 

Myaware is the only myasthenia charity in the UK.The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or ethnicity.  Myasthenia Gravis, Ocular Myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton Myasthenic Syndrome (LEMS) are autoimmune conditions whereas Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome (CMS) is an inherited genetic condition.It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families and offer advice and tips for living with the condition.  Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our welfare rights service.

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals.
