We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised HR & Executive Support Assistant to support a high quality people function at IHP. This part-time role combines HR administration with wider organisational and executive support, offering a varied and rewarding opportunity within a small charity that is making a significant impact around the world.

About the role
The HR team is responsible for a broad range of functions supporting our 24-strong staff team and trustees. The HR & Executive Support Assistant will play a key role in delivering effective HR administration while also providing wider administrative support to help ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
Working closely with the Director of Finance & Resources, our outsourced HR Consultant and the Finance & Administration Officer, the postholder will support the employee lifecycle, maintain HR systems and records, coordinate training and wellbeing activities, and help ensure HR processes are delivered accurately and efficiently.
Alongside the core HR responsibilities, the role will provide support across a range of central organisational activities, including supporting with office administration, governance, trustee administration, staff meetings and events, maintaining internal systems and records, and assisting with cross-organisational projects led by the Senior Leadership Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, has strong organisational skills and wants to develop their HR career while gaining experience across the wider functions of a small, collaborative charity.
We're looking for someone who can:
- Support all areas of HR administration and people processes under the direction of the outsourced HR Consultant and Director of Finance & Resources.

- Coordinate staff training, maintain accurate training records and support employee wellbeing initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive staff experience by supporting managers and colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle.

About you

Purpose of Role
This position entails offering advice and support on an individual basis through email, phone, or in-person meetings. You will maintain thorough records of all student interactions by effectively utilizing the case management system. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments within SUBU to design, implement, and execute campaigns and events aimed at raising awareness of the
current issues impacting BU students.
To provide accurate and comprehensive advice, guidance, and representation to Bournemouth University Students on a range of issues including academic, housing and financial matters in accordance with BU and SUBU policies and relevant legislation. And supporting students through personal circumstances such as suicide, sexual misconduct, abuse, harassment, violence, racism and discrimination. To maintain an excellent level of understanding of BU’s policies and procedures to ensure high quality advice and support is given to students. This role also supports students to prepare for and attend formal meetings relating to the continuance of students’ academic studies, for example Academic Offence Panels and Fitness to Practice Panels. We aim to empower students by advising them and giving them the information to make informed decisions. The post holder will maintain an excellent level of understanding of BU’s policies and procedures to ensure high quality advice and support is given to students.
Key Tasks
- Advice and Guidance Duties: directly helping clients as a key objective, providing accurate advice, support and signposting or referrals as appropriate. The role
The CF Therapist will report to the Senior CTS Therapist (CF & NM & Finchley).
The purpose of the role is to provide adaptive therapeutic massage to patients under referral from clinical teams, at the Chase Farm site within step-down, rehabilitation and chemotherapy infusion suite settings, supporting patients' comfort, relaxation, and well-being during recovery.
Unlike many complementary therapy roles, this position offers the best of both worlds.
The two-day-per-week structure provides the security and satisfaction of working within a respected healthcare setting while allowing you the flexibility to continue building and maintaining your private practice. For therapists who value variety and professional independence, this role offers an ideal balance that may not be possible in a full-time position.
You will also gain experience that is difficult to find elsewhere, delivering massage to patients within a busy hospital setting. This provides a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's wellbeing while developing specialist skills and experience in healthcare.

The team
Patient support brings together volunteering, complementary therapy, and wider charity patient-facing support into one integrated, site-based team at each of the four main hospital sites. Patient support site managers work closely with NHS site teams to ensure support reflects the clinical needs and demographics of each hospital. Volunteering and therapy roles are embedded locally rather than operating as separate teams, enabling continuity, flexibility, and equitable provision. We’re looking for a Senior Media and Communications Lead to deliver and manage our rail suicide prevention campaigns.
In this role you’ll take the lead in managing Samaritans’ communications and media activity relating to rail suicide prevention. You will manage the delivery of our important Small Talk Saves Lives campaign and other targeted awareness campaigns. You’ll also lead on media relations for our rail programme, identifying opportunities to ensure Samaritans’ is visible in relevant media stories.
You will represent Samaritans’ Rail programme at a national level, working with key rail industry stakeholders and programme funders. You’ll also work alongside colleagues across Samaritans, including regional rail colleagues and those within the wider media team.

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.
