We are looking for our next Finance Manager / Senior Financial Controller, someone who shares our compassion for animal welfare and wants to play a central role in stewarding Mayhew’s financial resources for the greatest impact.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will work closely with senior colleagues across Mayhew—including members of the Senior Management Team—to support strong financial direction, responsible stewardship, and effective, mission‑driven decision‑making across the charity.

This is a highly visible and hands‑on leadership role. You will lead Mayhew’s day‑to‑day finance function, ensuring strong financial controls, good practice financial management, and timely, accessible financial reporting for colleagues, trustees and partners. You will be responsible for all aspects of financial planning, management accounting, statutory reporting and SORP compliance, as well as supporting operational teams with practical financial insight and advice.

You will also help develop and strengthen financial systems and processes, recognising that—as a mid‑sized charity with evolving needs—Mayhew continues to refine its structures to best support our work. You will lead and support a small finance team, modelling an open, collaborative and hands‑on working style.

Our London site—our historic rescue and rehoming centre—is at the heart of our UK operations. You will collaborate with colleagues across operations, veterinary services, fundraising, people and engagement to ensure financial clarity underpins good decision‑making as we continue to care for dogs and cats in need.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, direct and deliver all aspects of Mayhew’s finance function, ensuring strong, proportionate controls and high‑quality financial information.
• Engage, influence and collaborate with senior colleagues and trustees to support the effective delivery of our strategic and operational goals.
• Provide clear financial guidance to non‑finance colleagues and act as a supportive, trusted partner across the organisation.
• Lead and support a small finance team, encouraging a positive, collaborative and hands‑on culture.
• Strengthen and improve finance systems and processes to increase efficiency, consistency and compliance.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Strong charity finance experience, including Charity SORP (FRS 102), fund accounting, statutory reporting, financial planning, budgeting, and knowledge of VAT and Gift Aid.
• Hands‑on experience of month‑end accounting, financial controls, cashflow management, and management accounts preparation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial information clearly for non‑finance colleagues and trustees.
• A collaborative, supportive and pragmatic working style, with confidence to improve processes and work flexibly within a smaller organisation.
• Experience leading and developing a small team through open, positive and supportive management.

Purpose of the Job 
This role will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate partners, delivering high quality account management that deepens engagement and maximises income. • Prepare and develop compelling presentations, pitches and proposals; negotiate bespoke benefits packages and lead renewal discussions. 
• Establish and monitor partnership milestones, ensuring timely delivery and high standards of reporting financial management and record keeping (including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and contract management).
• Work collaboratively with New Business, Development, Income Generation and wider internal stakeholders including Food, Operations and Marcomms. 
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, fundraising regulations and ethical gift policies, legal requirements and internal compliance practices. 
• Represent fundraising on internal working groups and undertake training to maintain up-to-date knowledge relevant to the role.

Skills & Experience Required
 

Essential
 

• Proven experience managing key relationships—minimum three years within a charity environment—with a track record of stewarding and growing six‑figure partnerships.
• Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and create compelling, tailored propositions.
• Demonstrable ability to manage multiple complex projects, with strong organisational, financial management and commercial awareness (including understanding of VAT considerations).
• Experience developing pitches, partnership plans and legal agreements; familiarity with commercial brand licensing and staff fundraising desirable.
• Proactive, target‑driven and creative, with the ability to use data and insight to shape partnership strategies.
• Knowledge of the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, GDPR and relevant legislative requirements; Salesforce or similar CRM experience desirable.

The role of a Children and family Worker will support children and young people under the age of 18 on a one-to-one basis in a confidential space. The role will deliver a wide range of interventions/ education though activities, such as games, arts and crafts and emotional wellbeing resources. The role will utilise a young person-centred approach, empowering them to explore situations which they feel they have little control over to support them to lead a safe, happy, and healthy life.

The role will work in partnership and liaise with other young people services throughout Buckinghamshire, to provide holistic support to young people accessing the service. We need to record information about what we do, so enjoying a bit of admin work and attention to detail is important, but most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with young people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. You will be required to work flexibly across operational sites as required so must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car. Responsibilities

About the role: 

• To holistically support CYP affected by parental substance misuse, using a range of interventions including group work, 1:1 work, whole family interventions, safety planning and safeguarding working closely and proactively with the family unit to support positive and sustainable outcomes.
• Identify families in conjunction with other agencies, who will benefit from a Think Family / Whole family approach, negotiating participation and engagement with the programme of care.
• Identifying and responding effectively to potential safeguarding issues. 
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to young people and the wider community. 
• Working with young people to support positive, holistic outcomes in relation to their health and wellbeing, enabling them to lead safe, healthy, and purposeful lives: reducing risk and increasing resilience 
• Working flexibly across sites where required

About you: 

• Experience of working with young people and knowledge of the issues they face 
• Knowledge of safeguarding concerns in relation to children and young people and the Fraser Competence framework 
• Have an excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field 
• Knowledge of working with evidence-based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidance

Introduction

We are looking for an exceptional fundraising Programme Manager to join and lead our Caribbean UK Overseas Territories (UKOTs) team. Based in the region the Caribbean UKOTs Programme Manager will work closely with regional management teams and our excellent external partners to develop and oversee a pipeline of high impact conservation projects across the Caribbean UKOTs.

What's the role about?

In a time of constrained funding the primary responsibilities for this role include a significant focus on helping to identify and develop fundraising opportunities, supporting our various partners to build their own organisational fundraising capacity, and working to secure financing to deliver against a range of national and regional environmental priorities.

The Programme Manager will in addition lead and oversee several Caribbean-based RSPB project managers to ensure successful delivery of projects within the region and ensure that these contribute to impactful outcomes for species and habitats and delivery of the Strategic Outcomes of both the RSPB and our partners.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of Caribbean conservation issues, species and habitats.
• Innovation and adaptation in fundraising practices and approaches.
• Knowledge of project / programme management principles and their application.
• Programmatic working and project development as a member of multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Demonstrate experience and ability to engage, persuade, influence and work with a wide range of organisations, prospective donors/funders, and stakeholder groups, both internally and externally.
• Proven experience of delivering structured training, mentorship and capacity development within teams and across partner and peer organisations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with external and internal teams to identify and manage the development of donor relationships and funding proposals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including representation of data and income trends, and ability to present, influence and represent RSPB and partner priorities to a wide variety of audiences.

• An understanding and sensitivity to the diverse cultural perspectives and identities held in the Caribbean.

• Knowledge of relevant environmental management activities such as habitat creation and/or restoration, biosecurity and eradication, species recovery.
• A good technical background on island and species conservation.
• Direct experience using MS Project, or similar project management software packages and fundraising databases (e.g. Raisers Edge, Care or Salesforce).

Additional Information:

• This is a Permanent role for 37.5 hours per week.
• The role is Caribbean based and only open to those with existing rights to live and work in the region. The position is home based with frequent travel to support partners across the Caribbean UKOTs.

Job Purpose

The Marketing and Campaigns Manager is responsible for the delivery and implementation of the company’s marketing, campaigns and district event activity. You will lead on the planning and delivery of integrated marketing and engagement strategies and brand activations that enhance visibility, support our five-year business plan and strengthen stakeholder relationships. This role will require creativity, organisation, collaboration and a strong ability to deliver results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Campaigns, Content Creation and Management

- Schedule and manage the annual marketing calendar in line with company objectives.

- Develop tailored campaigns for audiences to drive member engagement, brand and district awareness.

- Plan, execute and optimize campaigns across digital and print channels.

- Develop campaign toolkits and templates to support member participation.

- Maintain accurate and timely content on the company’s websites and channels to reflect the brand values, activity and evolving reputation.

- Plan and update all social media accounts including but not limited to Meta and LinkedIn with responsibility for growth targets.

- Scope, manage, develop and distribute required marketing materials using digital and print platforms

- Actively collate and report on all aspects of marketing and communications for internal and external purposes and consider innovation/service improvements where appropriate.

- Set and monitor KPIs across campaigns and events for continuous improvement.

- Work with external agencies managing the creative process to deliver on time and in budget.

Brand and communications

 - Assist in the planning and delivery of a new brand identity and brand proposition

- Maintain an accurate and relevant image library and logo library for communications purposes, with the ability to do necessary editing.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership materials for use in member communications.

- Responsible for sourcing, designing and maintaining an up-to-date bank of corporate assets.

- Act as brand guardian for all corporate content and visual identity.

- Prepare and deliver executive communications on behalf of senior leaders as needed.

- Lead on presentations and meetings with member businesses as required.

- Support accurate recordkeeping of the contact database.

 Event Planning and Delivery

- Lead the planning, delivery, promotion and evaluation of campaign focussed events.

- Oversee the annual events calendar across the company, ensuring they are in line with company objectives.

- Manage supplier and venue relationships, ensuring events are delivered on time and within budget.

- Collaborate across departments to ensure events align with wider business objectives and advise on requirements as needed.

- Ensure events meet company quality and branding standards.

- Lead on promotion of events and attendee engagement strategies.

- Monitor spend to ensure events remain within budget and collect post-event feedback for continuous improvement.

Person Specification

- Marketing experience gained through working in direct response, member marketing or similar, likely to require at least 5 years prior relevant experience.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to manage changing priorities, with proven ability to adapt.

- Collaborative team member, able to work across teams with peers in other departments to help further projects

Purpose of the role

The Legal Director provides strategic leadership on immigration, economic migration, asylum and nationality for ILPA, with a primary focus on legal policy, legislative analysis, member engagement and public influence.

The role is responsible for shaping ILPA’s legal positions, overseeing the quality and coherence of legal analysis across the organisation, and maintaining ILPA’s standing as the leading professional membership body in immigration and asylum law.

Key responsibilities

1. Legal strategy and leadership

In collaboration with the Trustees and Chief Executive, the Legal Director will:

a. Develop and maintain ILPA’s short-, medium- and long-term legal strategy in line with ILPA’s charitable objectives.

b. Identify emerging legal, policy and practice issues affecting immigration, asylum and nationality law.

c. Engage with ILPA members to understand frontline impacts and systemic concerns.

d. Advise the Trustees and Chief Executive on legal policy priorities, organisational positioning and risk.

e. Translate member insight into clear legal and policy positions.

f. Lead ILPA’s legal responses to legislative proposals, consultations and policy initiatives.

g. Ensure ILPA’s legal work remains focused, authoritative and aligned with ILPA’s strategic plan.

2.       Policy, parliamentary and public influence

a. Lead ILPA’s engagement on legal and policy matters with government departments, Parliament and public bodies.

b. Draft and oversee consultation responses, parliamentary briefings and policy submissions.

c. Represent ILPA at meetings with Ministers, officials, parliamentarians and sector partners.

d. Provide expert evidence to parliamentary inquiries and committees.

e. Support the Chief Executive in high-level advocacy and external relations where appropriate.

f. Maintain ILPA’s reputation as a trusted expert voice on immigration and asylum law.

3.       Member support and legal expertise

a. Maintain expert-level knowledge of UK and international immigration, asylum and nationality law.

b. Monitor and analyse developments in legislation, case law and policy.

d. Support ILPA’s thematic and regional working groups, including attendance and follow-up actions where appropriate.

4.       Relationship with litigation and advice functions

a. Work collaboratively with the Director of Strategic Litigation and Advice to ensure consistency between ILPA’s policy positions and litigation strategy.

a. Line manage the Senior Legal Officer and support the Chief Executive’s HR management function for the Senior Legal Officer

The Training Co‑ordinator/Legal Advisor is a key member of ASAP’s team, leading on our training programme — one of ASAP’s three core strands of work.

• Co-ordinating, developing and delivering engaging, accessible training and guidance on asylum support, including interactive webinars and e-learning modules for advice workers across the UK.
• Co-ordinating ASAP’s Asylum Support Advice Network (ASAN) — an online professional network of over 1,000 asylum support advisers.
• Providing legal advice and representation for destitute people seeking asylum at the Asylum Support Tribunal (AST), as well as offering advice to other advisers via ASAP’s second-tier Advice Line.

You will:

• Have strong communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly and confidently to a range of audiences.
• Be a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with others in a small, supportive team.
• Be legally minded, with a strong interest in the law and how it can be used to challenge injustice and uphold rights.
• Have a good understanding of the asylum support system — ideally gained through direct advice work or closely related experience.

You do not need to be legally qualified, but you do need enthusiasm for legal work and a commitment to using the law as a tool for positive change.
