- Manage the development and implementation of new versions of the postgraduate curricula for our specialities.
- Establish and implement necessary quality assurance mechanisms and initiative.
- Oversee the provision of support for ancillary workforce development initiatives.
- Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest reach and impact.
- Lead, motivate performance manage and develop a team.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will manage the strategic development of Individual Giving, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The Development Manager (Trust and Foundations) will manage the strategic development of Trusts and Foundations fundraising, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee income generation from grant-making organisations and ensure timely reporting to funders.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:
- Drive growth of Trusts and Foundations income especially at the five- and six-figure level, with a particular view to supporting unrestricted income and major projects in the organisation’s pipeline.
- Proactively manage a personal portfolio of Trusts and Foundations, regularly meeting and engaging with prospective funders to pitch proposals and check-in around expectations.
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling funding applications in line with deadlines set by funders.
- Build lasting relationships with funders in order to establish opportunities for multi-year income generation.
- Drive the Trusts and Foundations prospecting process and increase the range of prospects approached for support, utilising prospect research tools and securing introductions from our network.

You’ll be responsible, alongside our Head of Content, for producing our world-class lessons, with help from a supportive, collaborative team and a wealth of journalistic expertise from across The Economist Group. You will be a creative teacher, or ex-teacher, who is excited to turn the biggest issues in the news into engaging lessons for 10- to 16-year olds. You’ll research global topics and consider the best angles and innovative activities to produce a lesson every week. These lessons will build children’s essential skills and knowledge about the news through discussion-based activities. The activities will be inventive and varied and beyond your “usual” lesson planning. For example, they might involve students using QR codes to engage with unique multimedia content, a class debate in the style of a courtroom, or a bespoke game with prizes and challenges.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Create Topical Talk classroom resources for children (60%)
● Research and pitch lesson plans that cover the most important facts, arguments, perspectives and questions
● Write, edit and proofread teaching resources. Your core responsibility will be to create a weekly, 1-hour “Headlines” lesson
● Collaborate with journalists at The Economist to ensure all work is of the highest quality
● Work with our Graphic Designer on the look and feel of the content
● Manage diaries, build rapport and communicate effectively to ensure deadlines are met
● Seek out and conduct interviews with topic experts
● Work with the Head of Content to monitor and evaluate the success of lessons
Design resources for one-off current affairs workshops/events for children (20%)
● Create one-off student workshops and events, from the idea-generation stage to writing, proofreading, delivery and evaluation
● Create lesson and website content for the annual Topical Talk Festival, where students join online discussions about the news
Teach lessons, facilitate student discussions and train teachers (20%)
● Facilitate online discussions during Topical Talk Festivals between young people on the Topical Talk Student Hub
● Visit schools to observe, and occasionally teach, Topical Talk lessons
● Deliver inspiring workshops to young people aged 10 to 18
● Occasionally deliver training to teachers to help support the use of resources
This role will involve some travel. It also involves working with young people, so you will need to have an enhanced DBS check (which The Foundation will organise).

The post holder will be expected to work to actively drive sales of RSCM products such as ‘Hymnpact!’ (a singing resource aimed at encouraging singing in primary schools), sales of events such as singing courses, and membership subscriptions; and in some instances voluntary giving. Some of the work will be in support of RSCM Enterprises, RSCM’s wholly owned trading subsidiary.
The sales plan will be delivered with some assistance of external contractors (e.g. social media), and with input from individuals across the organisation.
The post holder is responsible for selling to individuals, corporate customers (such as school federations) and organisations (e.g. choral societies) including through appropriate organisational networks. The holder will play an active part in suggesting, agreeing and delivering agreed KPIs and sales targets, monitoring and adjusting activities as necessary to improve results. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the long-term financial viability of the charity and whilst we have a comprehensive product offer, we welcome innovation. This role is offered on a flexible permanent contract basis paying a salary between £40,000 to £50,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their Office in Shoreditch.
This newly created role will be part of the senior leadership team and lead the fundraising function at Action Syria. The post holder will work with the CEO and team to deliver their ambitious fundraising goals over the next three years with an aim to increase annual income to £1 million. Salary: This is a Grade 10 role with a salary range that starts at £75,840pa. The offer will be
made commensurate with experience.

To achieve this, we are seeking a new Director of Development and Alumni Relations who will design and drive a new and ambitious strategy for fundraising and alumni engagement, with active support from the Principal and Vice-Chancellor, and the senior leadership team across the University.
You will bring the professional expertise, credibility and personal qualities necessary to provide exceptional leadership for the Development and Alumni Relations team, and collaborate with academic and professional services colleagues, alumni, donors and key stakeholders to make our strategic intent a reality. Your philanthropy experience, including designing successful cultivation and engagement strategies, and a significant track record of securing gifts, will help you to swiftly establish credibility across the University. There is scope to review and adapt our current operations and programme of activity, and we are looking for someone excited by the opportunity to innovate and develop a fresh approach. Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Senior Development Manager to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in city centre Manchester. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English speaking world and a world-class concert venue all in the heart of Manchester.
The job
- We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated fundraiser to join Chetham’s as Senior Development Manager to manage the development team in securing over £600k of income per annum across Chetham’s School of Music, Library and The Stoller Hall. This is a great progression opportunity for someone currently working in fundraising.
- Supported by the Joint Principals, Head of Communications, the Creative Commercial Director and the Board: The Senior Development Manager will drive forward fundraising at Chetham’s and ensure that storytelling is used creatively to promote our vision – to make music and education more accessible, to enrich the lives of people in Manchester and beyond, and to improve wellbeing through the magic of music and learning. The role is ideally suited to somebody looking to grow into a senior fundraising role, and you will be supported by colleagues and mentorship from board members.
- Our development team is small but ambitious and includes a part time Development Manager and full time Fundraising Administrator. Working alongside our communications department, the development team manage a variety of income streams including a successful trust and foundation portfolio, donations, growing major donor and patron programme. There is opportunity to grow income from regular giving, legacies and corporate.
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years fundraising experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and confidence working with a range of different stakeholders. Experience working in a similar arts organisation with a track record of securing five-figure gifts and a knowledge of database systems is highly desirable.
- This a full time, permanent role working 35 per week.

We are looking for an experienced Youth Worker, to deliver training sessions and projects to young people through youth centres, community groups, schools, secure units and alternative provisions across South Wales and Bristol (including surrounding areas) and to ensure our programmes are fit for the future.
We are an award-winning national charity which trains over 9,000 young people affected by street violence each year in emergency first-aid through a team of 300 healthcare volunteers and youth workers. We empower young people with the skills to become part of the solution to violence by developing the skills and confidence to save lives and increasing their understanding of the medical and psychological consequences of violence.
As the StreetDoctors Youth Worker in the Region, you will deliver high quality training, develop new partnerships and maintain positive relationships.
The key areas of focus include:

To deliver training sessions to young people and partners to required quantity and quality, and support the development, testing and implementation of new training content.

To create, develop and maintain partnerships with a range of organisations including, funders, commissioners, community organisations, criminal justice organisations, education providers and youth organisations.

To support the management of volunteers and provide the best volunteering experience possible.
