Youth Advantage UK is a charitable organization that uses a research-led approach to inform policy work and projects that aim to promote and further the human rights of young people aged 11 to 25 across the United Kingdom.

Please note that this is a remote VOLUNTEER role.

We won't accept applications from individuals residing outside of the UK as we operate on the principle of bettering the lives of young people in the UK. Therefore, we require our volunteers to have an understanding of what it is like to live in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead regular meetings with HODs to maintain visibility of resource needs and support proactive workforce planning.
• Partner with managers and HODs to drive the timely completion of volunteer supervision records through proactive monitoring and guidance.
• Act as a trusted HR partner, providing coaching and day‑to‑day guidance to volunteers, managers, and department heads.
• Deliver expert HR advice on performance management, grievances, and disciplinary matters in line with best practice.
• Manage and resolve escalations of volunteer relations cases with a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
• Support managers in identifying performance gaps and development opportunities within their teams.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure consistent application of policies across the organisation.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and practices and its relevance in a volunteer led organisation.

• Excellent writing and communication skills.

• IT literacy with own equipment (laptop and phone)

• Ability to work well in a team.

EPIC Entrepreneurs is one of the UK's fastest-growing not-for-profit organisations supporting young entrepreneurs aged 16-25 from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds. About the Role

As an EPIC Mentor, you'll be matched with one or more young entrepreneurs and provide guidance, encouragement and practical advice as they develop their business ideas and entrepreneurial skills.

The role is flexible and designed to fit around your existing commitments, requiring a minimum commitment of just one hour per month.

Mentoring sessions are delivered remotely, allowing you to support entrepreneurs from anywhere in the UK.

Role Purpose

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated freelance solicitors to provide expert legal guidance to our beneficiaries. This role is flexible, allowing you to use your legal expertise to make a tangible difference in the lives of children, teenagers, and single-parent families who urgently need your support.

You will:

• Offer legal advice on family law, employment rights, housing, or other related areas

• Guide clients through complex legal processes with clarity and empathy

• Collaborate with GLF staff and volunteers to ensure clients are supported holistically

Hours & Commitment

• Recommended: 6–12 hours per month at the early stage

• Each session revenue split: 70% to you, 30% reinvested into GLF programs

Compensation & Payment

• Qualified solicitor in the UK, practising in relevant areas (family law, housing, employment, or youth-focused law)

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Board of Trustees and provide strategic financial oversight to support the Trust’s long-term success and sustainability.

As a Trustee, you will play a key role in shaping the Trust’s vision, ensuring strong governance, and helping to deliver positive outcomes for our pupils, staff, and communities. Working collaboratively with fellow Trustees and senior leaders, you will contribute to effective decision-making and provide independent scrutiny and challenge where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

As the Finance Specialist Trustee, you will bring professional financial expertise to the Board, supporting robust financial governance, sustainability, and effective stewardship of resources.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals with strong financial knowledge and experience, who can provide strategic insight and independent judgement. Previous board experience is desirable but not essential.

Trustees are responsible for the governance of a charitable company and must ensure that the Trust complies with all relevant legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements. Trustees work closely with the Trust’s governance professionals and, where necessary, seek advice from external professional advisers.

This is an excellent opportunity to use your financial expertise to make a meaningful contribution to education and community outcomes.

We are looking for someone who:

• Professional experience in finance, accounting, audit, or financial management
• Ability to analyse complex financial information and communicate key issues clearly to non-finance specialists
• Understanding of governance, risk management, and assurance frameworks
• Commitment to the values, vision, and objectives of the Trust

Desirable criteria:

• Experience working within the public sector, charity, or education finance environment
• Knowledge of academy trust funding arrangements and financial frameworks
• A recognised professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
