The Square Mile Churches Intern will work with key members of the project team to assist with the development of a trial education activity for secondary schools in the areas surrounding the city. The postholder will assist in scoping and developing a brief to identify Square Mile church location options for a future Education Resource Centre. 

What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Support Trial Activities – Help plan, deliver, and evaluate two pilot education walks for secondary schools, including content creation, volunteer coordination, and materials preparation.
• Curriculum Alignment – Ensure trial activities align with key stage levels and national curriculum requirements.
• Research and Analysis – Conduct desk research on education provision, competitor offerings, and potential audiences to inform project development.
• Development of Education Centre Brief – Contribute to creating a proposal for a future Education Resource Centre, including potential locations and next steps for delivery.

JOB TITLE: National Fundraising Manager

LOCATION: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire Headquarters – based with regular travel across designated UK regions (including regular overnight stays).

Job Purpose

To lead and manage regional fundraising initiatives around the UK, developing relationships with volunteers, donors, and community groups to maximise income generation and awareness. This role requires a combination of strategic oversight, operational support and hands-on engagement with volunteers and supporters across multiple regions. Ideally the National Fundraising Manager will be present at the charity’s office 1-2 days per week, with the rest of the time dedicated to travel across the UK in support of our extensive volunteer family.

Key responsibilities

Fundraising development

• Identify and cultivate new opportunities for national fundraising.
• Support volunteers with fundraising ideas, materials, and advice.

Person Specification

Experience

• 2 years minimum community fundraising experience or fast paced, target driven field sales environment with demonstrable transferrable skills.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Office Management:

• Oversee daily office operations and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.

Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people.
This role's shift work on a 7 day rolling rota.

Job Purpose

• This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all our boroughs.
• Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.
• The objectives of the service include:
• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation

The role of the senior support worker is to support the team manager with the smooth running of the allocated site and staff; supporting development and rest of the team including volunteer recruiting, induction (training and development) and supervision. Senior support worker will also lead in delivering interventions on a one-to-one. • Demonstrable experience in a Procurement department and good knowledge and understanding of UK Procurement legislation, including framework agreements and end to end tendering in practice. 
• Familiarity with Government procurement related issue and In-Tend or other electronic tendering systems.
• Experience of Financial / Budgetary control systems.
• A proven track record of promoting and supporting diversity and inclusion.

WVS are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate person to join their volunteering team. We offer a range of different volunteer opportunities across the world, supporting our volunteers from their initial enquires, through the onboarding process, during their trip, and following up with them, once they have returned home after their travels. 

Volunteers are a vital part of our charity, and we offer a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment for anyone who is interested in taking their skills overseas to help with animal welfare. We assist with advice and guidance, as well as checking required documentation for each volunteer prior to travel.

You will be providing an organised and efficient, maintaining a relaxed and friendly approach to all communications. Attention to detail is vital, as well as the ability to react to any given situation, and be able to solve problems. 

This role can be fully based at our premises in Cranborne, Dorset, or a hybrid role, with at least 3 days a week spent in the office, and 2 days remote working. 

The chance to travel internationally on occasion may also be available. 

About Us

At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.

We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi and the Galápagos Islands.  We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world. Our Mission Rabies project runs mass canine vaccination and community education in the world’s worst hotspots for the disease. Since the project began, over five million dogs have been vaccinated against rabies and over nine million children have been educated in rabies prevention, protecting the lives of people and animals.

Last year, WVS treated over 100,000 animals, trained over 2,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,000 parcels of veterinary supplies to 231 charities in 65 countries.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Liaise with international volunteers and ensure they have provided all relevant documents and information to safely participate in the projects.
• Liaise with our project partners to ensure the volunteers meet the project needs & requirements.
• Assist with the evaluation of the volunteer projects and collection of feedback to ensure the placements are satisfactory for the volunteers & meet the needs of the projects.
• Assist with the promotion and support of the WVS Charity.
