We are looking for a supportive and motivating Progression Coach to join our established and respected Step Up programme and help people with a wide range of mental health issues progress towards their goals. These can include volunteering, training or paid employment.
Step Up has been running successfully in Hackney since 2015 and works in partnership with statutory and voluntary mental health services. We work with people living with a rage of conditions including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Through workshops, training and individual coaching, people are supported to gain confidence, independence, vocational skills and resilience with a reduction in social isolation. The role involves carrying out careful assessments of each person’s needs and interests, to create pesonalised journey plans that include interesting and relevant volunteering positions. These are with local charities and community organisations who are given ongoing support and guidance to help these be a rewarding and worthwhile experience.

To successfully lead the Grants team and raise voluntary income from a range of Grantmakers including Trusts, Foundations and local Government grant funders contributing to an overall team target of £1-million +. Working effectively with a grants team of three, and across the organisation, you will meet team annual targets of circa £675,000 through finding new opportunities, building excellent relationships with funders and managing the team effectively. This will lead to more young people reached by Eikon’s services.
Responsibilities
Income generation
· Lead responsibility for raising current annual team target of £675,000 for restricted and unrestricted income
· Work to agreed metrices including an annual target of £220,000 - £250,000/year with a pipeline including statutory, national & regional grant funders (some being invite only).
· Develop and lead networking plan (internal/external) to secure long-term grant and statutory funding opportunities to help increase financial income year on year.
Account Management
· Lead a stewardship framework, ensuring excellent account management of funders across the team (including own portfolio)
· Lead plans for the year, thinking creatively to develop new engagement opportunities such as panels, breakfast meetings and other events
· Collaborate with other leads and managers in the team to maximise opportunities through relationships, for example Major Donors, Corporate partnerships and Individual Givers.
Management
· Line management two staff members (Senior Grants Fundraiser and Trust Fundraiser), creating a positive and supportive working culture supporting them to meet their targets
· Lead on managing pipeline information on Donorfy, being able to pull reports for information and analysis including:
o Provision of data and narrative for monthly team meetings
o Contribution to Board reporting with narrative and pipeline information
o Analysis for annual planning sessions
Quality and standards
· Ensure all staff and volunteers understand and deliver within Eikon’s safeguarding policies and practices when taking part in fundraising activities.
· Ensure all activities follow the relevant Fundraising Codes of Practice and Eikon’s Ethical Fundraising Policy.
· Prepare relevant Grant Agreements and contractual information.
· Carry out risk assessments for all activities for which you are responsible.
· Carry out required basic due diligence on new funders.
Finance and resources
· Budget responsibility with authorisation up to agreed limits

Communications and relationships
· Work collaboratively with the Communications Lead to devise annual communications and marketing plans, ensuring Eikon is strategically positioned externally.

· Participating in a Leads network, contribute regularly to organisation matters including strategies, annual plans and budgeting.

About the Role:

What We’re Looking For:

Maintenance of the database and ensuring data integrity:
1. Be responsible for technical maintenance of the database and liaising with suppliers to ensure integration with digital fundraising platforms as required and the automation, where possible, of importing high quality data.
2. Ensure data and income are reconciled between database and finance functions.
3. Ensuring data is secure, there are adequate back-ups and that data can be retrieved in the event of a system failure.
4. Oversee the import and export of data to and from external suppliers (in conjunction with Digital Marketing Manager as appropriate). Investigate and resolve anomalies, liaising with suppliers, third-party agencies, or colleagues
5. Manage the set-up, documentation and maintenance of coding structures on the database to ensure effective data selection, analysis and reporting across all fundraising.
Ensuring compliant use of data and the database:
1. Be an expert on relevant Data Protection legislation and Fundraising regulations and lead on this for Fundraising. Ensure the compliance with legislation and best practice. Raise the profile of data protection and data quality issues.
2. Audit the database regularly to ensure data is clean, accurate, archived in line with data retention policies and that users are following procedures for data entry and management.
Develop and implement a programme of training to support all database users to maximise the benefits the CRM brings:
1. Develop and deliver comprehensive induction and ongoing training and associated ‘How to’ documentation for users.
2. Develop, implement, communicate and regularly review database protocols and procedures ensuring they are up to date and being followed by staff.
3. Work closely with users to identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working across YAA, including updating and maintaining internal user guides and process maps.
4. Provide technical support for users.
Staffing and Budget Management
1. Train staff and volunteers in the use of the data management systems.
2. To work closely with the finance team in ensuring fundraising income data is robust and meets all relevant financial management and reporting requirements.

The Opportunity
This is far more than a community fundraising role.
You'll lead the development of SportsAid's Community Fundraising & Engagement programme at a pivotal moment in our history, helping shape the future of one of the UK's most respected sports charities.
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and as part of an ambitious leadership team, you'll develop and deliver a bold community fundraising strategy, grow sustainable unrestricted income and create outstanding supporter experiences that inspire people to back the next generation.
You'll also provide strategic leadership for our growing alumni engagement programme, ensuring former SportsAid athletes remain connected through mentoring, advocacy, storytelling, volunteering and fundraising.
Whether it's launching new fundraising products, growing challenge events, building partnerships with schools, clubs and communities, or developing innovative supporter journeys, you'll have the freedom to build something with lasting impact.
About You

We’re looking for an experienced partnerships manager to play a key role in driving Oak's growth and impact by increasing adoption of its resources across schools and Multi Academy Trusts. This is a highly collaborative role, combining strong education sector insight with a proactive, target-driven approach to partnership development.
You will work with colleagues across the organisation to generate and qualify opportunities through events, networks, referrals, and outreach, building a focused pipeline aligned to shared priorities. Through structured discovery conversations, you’ll develop a clear understanding of school needs, readiness, and strategic fit, helping shape how we engage and support partners.
You will assess and triage opportunities against agreed criteria, working closely with subject and curriculum leads to prioritise those with the greatest potential for impact and influence, and to determine where we focus our efforts.
Alongside this, you’ll build trusted relationships with educators, growing a network of 'champion' schools that support peer learning and community engagement.
You’ll maintain clear pipeline visibility through accurate CRM management and data-led insight, using this to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement. Working cross-functionally, you’ll share learnings from the field to influence messaging, product development, and how Oak delivers for schools.

What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the continuous improvement of lead nurture processes, including events, networks, referrals and targeted outreach, aligned to the go-to-market strategy.
Run structured first conversations, assess readiness, tier opportunities, and maintain accurate CRM records within an active partnerships pipeline.
Build and nurture relationships with user schools to develop Oak champions, and organise in-person and online community events (e.g. webinars, group INSET, local cluster meetings), including representing Oak at relevant in-person events and school visits.
As a member of the Oak Team, contribute to the planning and culture of the organisation.
Work in cross-functional and product-oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required.
Deputise for the Partnerships Lead and take on other general responsibilities as required.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of experience managing direct relationships with schools and/or Multi Academy Trusts.
Experience leading structured conversations with decision-makers to conversion in a business or product context.
Strong organisational skills and CRM discipline.
Practical understanding of product/service adoption processes in schools.
Motivated by long-term adoption and impact.
The successful candidate will have a desire to contribute in all areas to ensure Oak is successful. You will be comfortable working at pace, with a range of digital systems (including proprietary ones as required) and you will continuously look at ways that the team can keep getting better. You will be excellent at working as part of a remote team, building relationships and managing your time effectively.
