Job Title: Training Facilitator
Location: Our central office in Islington, just a 10 minute walk from Highbury & Islington station. We work in a hybrid way, with a minimum of two days a week spent in the office or at one of our services, along with regular travel to various sites across both inner and outer London. Kindly be aware that step free access is not be available at our central office, and some of our other services.
Salary: £30,900
Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours and days as required.
About the role
We have an exiting opportunity for a Training Facilitator to join our Talent Development team, part of the wider People and Culture team here at SIG! In this role, you’ll oversee and deliver our specialised training programmes for our staff, residents, participants, and external parties. You'll be at the heart of the full training journey including research training needs, designing and developing training content and delivering sessions both in person and online. No two days are the same.
Some of the key subject areas include:
De-escalation, conflict management, team building, grief and bereavement, housing/Independent living, employability, confidence and self esteem, and resilience
In this role, you'll:
- Support all stages of training and learning from research, planning to creating, delivering and keeping training records up to date whilst managing admin
- Have a good understanding of what care staff need to do their jobs well, whilst making a positive experience for diverse groups (staff, residents, external stakeholders)
- Help bring information come to life, ensuring its engaging for the audience, promoting inclusivity, safeguarding, and a positive learning culture
- Adapt content delivery styles to suit learners from staff to residents and external partners; identifying skills gaps and implementing feedback for improvement
- Deliver training sessions across a variety of locations, including inner and outer London, along with other locations throughout the UK
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident trainer to support the development and delivery of training across our organisation. We are looking for someone with:
- Knowledge and previous experience within similar type of organisation with a similar portfolio of training needs and services
- Ability to manage multiple projects and training schedules, ensuring smooth delivery and evaluation within a fast paced environment

WE ARE SEEKING A SAFEGUARDING LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT FACILITATOR
About the Department/Role
The Church of England is continually striving to improve its safeguarding practices. The 2020 report by IICSA on the Church highlighted failures in respect of child sexual abuse and, more broadly, the challenges facing the Church to get safeguarding right.
The Church's aspiration is that safeguarding is not experienced and approached as a matter of administrative compliance. Rather, it should be what the Church is - something that flows from its core beliefs and values, part of its DNA.
The Church has made important and positive strides over recent years. There is, however, still much to be done to keep children and vulnerable adults safe, and to promote their well-being. The Church is a complex collection of different bodies. Most of the safeguarding work is carried out locally within the 42 dioceses and cathedrals in England. This work is supported centrally by a National Safeguarding Team (NST).
The NST itself comprises three departments: Casework, Programmes and Administration, and Learning and Development, which provides high-quality safeguarding learning, policy, and guidance to those working, paid or unpaid, licensed or lay, in the Church of England. This role will be pivotal to delivering learning and development.
What you'll be doing
In this vital role, you'll join a dynamic team committed to nurturing high-quality safeguarding practice throughout the Church. You'll work alongside our two National Safeguarding Learning and Development Managers, delivering engaging in-person and online training for senior leaders, diocesan staff, and safeguarding officers.
Main responsibilities
- Deliver national learning events, including SLSP, with a focus on systemic theory and leadership development.
- Facilitate sensitive conversations around safeguarding culture, ensuring a safe and reflective learning environment.
- Evaluate the impact of training, contribute to continuous learning improvements, and support new pathway development.
- Organise and lead professional development programmes for Safeguarding Officers and Trainers.
Key role requirements
- This is a homeworking role; however, this position requires the post holder to frequently travel across England, visiting Dioceses and Cathedrals, including overnight stays and occasional weekend commitments.
- A basic DBS check will be required as part of our pre-employment checks.

Purpose of Role
Group Facilitators play a crucial role in delivering a range of therapeutic sessions aimed at supporting the wellbeing of survivors of sexual violence. This role involves creating a safe and empathetic environment where survivors can heal and grow. The Group Facilitator offers empowering peer support, fostering a sense of community and understanding among participants.
Through these therapeutic sessions, survivors are empowered to regain control over their lives, build resilience, and navigate their healing journey. The facilitator provides valuable guidance, emotional validation, and tools for coping and self-care, and they serve as a compassionate guide, helping survivors of sexual violence find strength, connection, and healing.
Main responsibilities include:
- Leading group intervention sessions for male, adolescent, and non-binary survivors of sexual abuse, assault, and rape.
- Collaborating with the Group Work Manager and the organisation's safeguarding lead to effectively address safeguarding concerns.
- Documenting client interactions, participation, and identified risks using our client case management system and by adhering to organisational protocols.
- Formulating comprehensive plans for group sessions, further refine the group model, and conduct risk assessments when necessary.
- Prioritising ongoing monitoring and evaluation, ensuring the timely and accurate recording of outcomes to gauge effectiveness.

The Role
We’re looking for experienced, energetic and confident freelance facilitators to help us deliver our tried-and-tested activities — from team-building and orienteering to improv games, problem-solving challenges, debates, archery, and axe throwing. We don’t expect anyone to be experienced in all of these - every member of our team of freelancers has their own areas of expertise and choose to be deployed on particular activities that most suit their skills and experience.
You’ll be working with a diverse range of schools, from primary and prep schools, right through secondary to sixth forms, facilitating sessions to inspire teamwork, communication, resilience, and leadership.
You’ll always be working on a day under the guidance of one of our Founder Directors, Tom and Alex.
Important to know
We are looking for freelancers who may be available for work and who fit our ethos, values and activities to whom we can offer as and when it comes in.
We couldn’t do what we do without our core team of trusted freelancers. We look after those we work with by offering regular training and observation opportunities so they can expand their repertoire.
However, joining our pool of freelancers will not involve a fixed contract of employment or a guarantee of regular work. Our existing freelancers work with us anywhere between 3 - 15 days per/year. Such work offers very useful supplementary income alongside other roles at other organisations (or their own) rather than a core income. Our busiest times of year are:
September — where we deliver team building/bonding days for new year groups
May, June and July — where we deliver similar days but usually as part of school activity weeks
We anticipate further growth at these times, and also are looking to expand our offer to more indoor/lower cost days in the Autumn/Spring term. And to deliver these we will need more staff!

Our successful candidate will be responsible for delivering preventative and early intervention training sessions for groups of children and young people on the risks associated with all aspects of gang involvement, exploitation, and violence. The Specialist Adult ADHD/Autism Advisor (SAAA) will be expected to answer both written and telephone enquiries from members of the public about CAAS services, with a warm and welcoming style, so clients feel comfortable to attend our services.
SAAA will be expected to welcome visitors to the centre and provide information about CAAS and The SAAA will provide front-of-house support, welcoming visitors, answering queries, and managing the referrals process, including CRM updates, triage, and liaising with referrers.

The Jewish Museum London has undergone substantial positive change over the past two years, moving out of our Camden site and moving to a ‘Museum without Walls’ model. The museum is building a new strategy that will lead its transformation over the next 10 years as it tests out innovative new models for exhibitions, displays, learning and engagement, building towards a new permanent site and dynamic operational model. Learning and engagement are central to the museum’s future. This new role will support the learning and engagement team by coordinating bookings, marketing and communications for the team.

Our learning programmes hold multiple awards, and our visitor feedback is consistently very high, however, we have much bigger ambitions than our current success. The Museum is looking to expand, in space, in profile and in audience reach. Reporting to the Head of Learning the appointed candidate will have the organisational and administrative skills to ensure the team can effectively deliver programmes for schools, families and communities as well as taking a lead on communicating the museum’s activity through social media, newsletters and the website.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The main role of the Learning and Communications Coordinator will be to administrate the activities of the learning department, in particular our flagship programme of schools workshops both in person and digitally. About the Role
We are looking to hire a skilled and engaging Education Officer to join a busy team, supporting the implementation and expansion of an established educational outreach programme, which reaches children in Scotland and Northern England.
At present, this post has funding for three years from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, 1.5 years of which is now complete and we are looking for someone to deliver the second 1.5 years of the project.
The purpose of the role is to extend passion and knowledge of beavers into communities around Britain, to engage and enthuse young people and to reconnect (or reinforce) their love of nature. Using and tailoring current materials and resources, you will do so by delivering high-quality learning sessions within schools, community groups or virtual training sessions, sometimes delivered in conjunction with beaver site partners and their education teams.
You will also be responsible for supporting wider aspects of the programme together with the Education Team, according to the requirements for each country and in partnership with relevant organisations
Key responsibilities include:
· Deliver a range of exciting, curriculum-linked workshops, non-curriculum home education talks, school and group sessions associated with beaver release sites.
· Run regional events and outreach activities to expand engagement in beaver education.
· Network and build contacts and relationships with key personnel in schools, youth groups and community groups in order to create engagement with the education programme and expand its reach.
· Support the development of further resources, activities and events specific to the country and region, and deliver existing activities for group learning.

About You

South Kilburn Trust is seeking a passionate Community Engagement Coordinator. This role involves recruiting and training local volunteers, conducting door-to-door outreach, organizing events that foster cohesion among South Kilburn's 7,500+ diverse residents, and transforming community insights into action through partnerships with local organizations including the local council. The ideal candidate will be approachable, organized, and committed to social justice, with strong communication skills and experience motivating teams,supporting the community to actively take part in shaping the future of South Kilburn.

Job Purpose
The aim of this role is to enhance community relations, ensuring that residents are heard, supported and engaged in important change in South Kilburn. South Kilburn is home to more than 7,500 people, many of which have been impacted by long term regeneration. Involving residents in shaping their future is central to our purpose, whether by ensuring local assets and amenities work for them, or by influencing service delivery. This makes the Community Engagement Coordinator an exciting and important role within the team.
Main Tasks:
Volunteer Recruitment, Training and Coordination
· Recruit and maintain a team of twenty active volunteers from the local community to assist in community building initiatives.
· Develop and deliver a volunteer programme to engage the South Kilburn community which will likely include, but not limited to:
o Community research and consultation
o Promoting community cohesion through events
o Mobilising residents through participation in action groups, community forums and resident panels.
· Train volunteers in peer-engagement and consultation practice,
· Induct and supervise skilled volunteers, as necessary.
Community Cohesion and Wellbeing
· Encourage and inspire volunteers to work as a team, take ownership of each activity, and to celebrate collective successes,
· Involve volunteers in planning and delivering community projects and events.
Resident Voice
· Community Conversations: Conduct outreach in the community with trained volunteers, including door-to-door surveys, pop-up stalls and focus groups.
· Collect and systematically analyse information gathered through outreach and community consultation.
Widening Participation
· Increase rates of community participation, belonging and pride across all segments of the community in South Kilburn.
· Use creative methods to increase engagement based on needs identified by all sections of our diverse community.
· Contribute to a new system of representative community governance, enabling the resident body to speak with one voice.
· Document and build a narrative of the work we do within the community, including findings from surveys, resident spotlights, opportunities, and initiatives.

· Seek opportunities for the community, within the community, working to engage interested residents and community groups to participate in and lead on initiatives.
