We are looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic customer service professional with previous charity experience and experience of supporter relationship work to join our Fundraising team.
This is a new post that will oversee the development and implementation of a Supporter Experience strategy in line with income generation priorities and objectives.
We are looking for someone who is a data driven and innovative professional, passionate about delivering high class journeys for Life supporters with the overall aim of increasing net income and converting supporters into donors.

The Role
The Communications and Engagement Lead will work closely with our Head of Fundraising and also the Operations team to support, develop and implement the charity’s marketing and communication strategy and further develop our engagement work across the charity.
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
Content Creation & Development:

Support and implement the charity’s marketing and communication strategy for the organisation.

Lead strategic communications to drive the impact of our campaigns and messaging, grow our profile and increase our influence

Bring innovation and best practice to your role, blending creative thinking with organisational operations and strategy.

Bring digital product marketing experience to the team to ensure the app and technical team are supported in their communications and that our implementation team are supported with their projects.

Be a key point of contact for organisational communications and support the delivery of the organisational campaigns and messaging.

Planning and approving regular communications to be sent out to stakeholders, including reports, social media, website updates and newsletters

Managing our social media channels and website, supporting and creating relevant content and graphics for our work.

Measuring analytics of social media, website, and newsletters through monthly reports to understand the impact on audience engagement and growth (reflecting KPIs) and develop a deep understanding of our demographics and potential new audiences.

Supporting the development of assets and content for our projects and campaigns work, and playing a key role in the visibility and reach of our campaigns, which may include working with the media.

Flexibility

This is a key role in the Fundraising Team at Mayhew responsible for engaging and inspiring the communities around us to support Mayhew and build awareness of the work we do to deliver greater impact for dogs, cats and communities.
This role involves managing a portfolio of fundraising events and community initiatives, including third-party events, challenges and our Christmas concert, in order to maximise income for Mayhew and to grow our supporter base.
The successful candidate will take a leading role in identifying and delivering new opportunities, increasing our investment and participation in third-party and virtual events, as well as maximising income through the cultivation of audiences already warm to Mayhew.
